Abstract:
This article considers the role of the illusory trust doctrine in New Zealand. It argues that the illusory trust doctrine should be incorporated into the Trusts Act 2019. Incorporating the illusory trust will enhance clarity in New Zealand's law of trusts by providing the courts with a conceptually coherent method to assess the permissible boundaries of the trust. This article explores the differing views of illusory trusts in the context of the Trusts Act and in light of policy concerns. The "no meaningful accountability" view of illusory trusts is identified as the best formulation of the do

In his article on mergers and antitrust regulation in the United States, Professor Cohn describes the intricate relationship between the two concepts. Antitrust law is analyzed along the lines of the Sherman Act, the Clayton Act and the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. Furthermore, Professor Cohn frequently refers to relevant jurisprudence in his efforts to clarify the present-day legal situation in the United States with respect to horizontal and vertical mergers. He concludes that merger law in the United States is an amalgam of state and federal law which does not account for a ‘unified set of rules

Housing discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity is a critical problem facing LGBTQ+ people in the United States. In addition, LGBTQ+ people, particularly transgender people, disproportionately suffer from homelessness and face discrimination by homeless shelters on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. This homelessness and discrimination both disproportionately affect transgender people of color. This Note makes two contributions that would enable courts to grant meaningful relief in these contexts. First, it argues that “sex” in the Fair Housing A

Robert Kim summarizes the case and explains what the ruling means for schools. LGBTQ educators have historically faced discrimination, but such actions are now prohibited in nearly all public, private, and charter schools. Religious schools, however, may be exempt, and the ruling does not address other issues of discrimination in schools, such restroom access.

The purpose of my assignment is to summarize facts, thoughts and assumptions and provide Progressive Era analyses in relation to the 1912 presidential elections. The respective campaigns of Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson can -- in general terms - be considered as a contest between the theoretical and the practical. This was evident in their varying approaches to both economic and social issues. Even within the Progressivism there were different points of view on the liberalism in the American democracy and strategic issues such as tax, customs duties and anti-monopoly policies. I will s

Abstract:
Abstract Oil-based drilling fluids (OBDFs) are essential for drilling in challenging environments, particularly those with high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) conditions. However, maintaining optimal OBDF performance in such extreme environments requires specialized additives. This study investigates the potential of a novel organoclay (OC), Claytone-3, as a rheological additive to enhance the performance of OBDFs under HPHT conditions. Claytone-3's performance is directly compared to a pre-exisiting OC (MC-TONE) to quantify the improvements offered by this novel additive. To understand
