Abstract:
The clearwinh moth Synanthedon myopaeformis Borkhausen, 1789 (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae) is more and more important pest particulary in the orchard grafted on M9 and some other rootstocks. Attacked trees become exhausted over many years, their reproductive potential decreases and eventually they dry up, which is a big loss for plantations in intensive production that require high investments per hectare, especially if they are in full crop. During the research, the impact of three different varieties which are present in the plantation and different sampling period during the growing season on the

Abstract:
A group of clearwing moths Sesiidae (Syn.: Aegeriidae) is analyzed here with special emphasis on genetics of currant clearwing moth (Synanthedon tipuliformis, CLERCK 1759). DNA sequences of the longest (1544 nt) available sequence of Sesiidae genes Co1 (cytochrome oxidase subunit-1 of mitochondrial DNA, mtDNA) (mtDNA; NCBI# AJ864359.1) were analyzed after In silico data mining, and dendrogram was edited to reveal molecular diversity and genetic distances among Sesiidae species. Batesian mimicry, sexual dimorphism, and genetics and genomics of Sesiidae are indicated.

The article presents a new locality of rare clearwing moth Chamaesphecia hungarica in Poland. One specimen was reared from dry stems of Euphorbia cf. palustris in Czeszewo by the Warta River (Province of Wielkopolska). So far it has been recorded from three localities along the Bug River of Polesie Lubelskie region (southeastern Poland). This is the northernmost locality in the whole distribution area in Europe.
