The study focuses on the audit quality issue in three culturally and commercially highly connected jurisdictions with very different legal systems which affect auditors. The first study examines whether auditors develop trust in a client's management after working with the client during prior audit engagements. This study examines whether and to what extent risk-associated firms that are affiliated with a business group affect audit pricing decisions. The results indicate that auditors spend more audit hours and charge higher audit fees for group-affiliated firms than for other firms.
