Abstract:
Abstract Background Contemporary evidence on the size of biomarker-defined cancer populations is crucial for clinical and economic healthcare decision makers. Estimates can be derived from real-world data (RWD), but may be affected by biases stemming from differences in observed populations vs. general populations of patients under the purview of decision makers. These differences may be driven by patient or clinical characteristics, as well as differences in assays used to assess biomarker status. This study demonstrates the applicability of an emerging method in survey science (Multilevel Re

Background: Lobomycosis is a rare cutaneous tropical neglected disease caused by the fungal agent Lacazia loboi, recently renamed Paracoccidioides lobogeorgii. Our objectives were to present all cases of lobomycosis diagnosed in French Guiana, to offer a precise description of their histopathological features and to propose a new clinico-histological prognostic classification. Methods: All cases of lobomycosis diagnosed in French Guiana between 1959 and 2022 were included. We looked for associations between the occurrence of relapses and the clinic-histological form. Introduction: Tuberculosis is a major global health problem. India accounts for one-fifth of the worldwide incidence of tuberculosis. The proportion of Extra-Pulmonary Tuberculosis among all TB cases varies from country to country. In India, Extra-Pulmonary tuberculosis accounted for 15%-20% of all forms of Tuberculosis. There are sparse data describing the epidemiology of Extra-Pulmonary Tuberculosis, hence this study was done in a tertiary care centre. Methodology: A retrospective longitudinal study was conducted at a tertiary care centre from 2012 to 2016. It included 297 consecutive patien
