Archives of clones (ACs) of plus trees (PTs) are laid to preserve their genotypes. The genotype of each plus tree is unique, and its loss is irreplaceable. In addition, scientific observations are carried out in the archives, in particular, the selection of clones for forest seed orchards (FCOs) of increased genetic value (FSO-I,5). The aim of this research has been to study the dynamics of creating and preserving the archives of clones, as well as their state, in Russia in general and in the Republic of Karelia in particular. at the beginning of the 30s, the efforts were redirected to other needs, such as the reconstruction of a capillary costal defence system, the network defence system that would have been used during 2nd world war to face the Anglo-American intervention alongside the Italian coasts in 1943.The Allied landing in Sicily is to be considered equally important to the one in Normandy, notwithstanding the common sense on that event, due to several reasons. By the way, there are several evidences (physical and retrieved from archives) that show the importance of those defence infrastructures not only fo

Although the Torre Guevara is a well-known monument on Ischia, little is known about its history. Built in the second half of the 15th century by a Guevara family, it remained in the family until the 19th century, when it was recently transferred to the Municipality. Thanks to the beauty of the surrounding countryside and its close proximity to the Castle of Ischia, the tower is in an enviable position. Nevertheless, very little is known about the history of the monument; its name was first changed to Torre di Sant'Anna (Tower of Saint Anna) because of its proximity to the church of the same n

Abstract:
Fatigue life prediction for in-service pipelines can vary considerably, with one of the prime sources of variability being the pipeline operating pressure data typically captured and archived using a Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. SCADA systems may operate differently from one system to another and the records can be significantly different on the basis of the operational parameter sampling technique. Operating pressure data is a key input into integrity analysis for pipelines containing defects. BMT Fleet has collected close to 200 pressure data sets and has been inve

Abstract:
Background: Public behaviour and the new hostile threats • Civil contingencies planning and preparedness for hostile threats requires accurate and up to date knowledge about how the public might behave in relation to such incidents. Inaccurate understandings of public behaviour can lead to dangerous and counterproductive practices and policies. • There is consistent evidence across both hostile threats and other kinds of emergencies and disasters that significant numbers of those affected give each other support, cooperate, and otherwise interact socially within the incident itself. • In emerg
