Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to develop the design of multifunctional children’s clothing that supports sustainability goals. This paper proposes multifunctional clothing that can be recycled and decomposed at the end of the clothing’s lifespan. In particular, the Eco-fashion design model was adopted in this project. After analyzing fashion consumption and problems in children’s product design, four items of multifunctional children’s clothing were developed. Multifunctional children’s clothing design focuses on material selection, zero-waste techniques, design for disassembly and children’s health. Thus, the minimization of material diversity as well as the application of zero-waste design techniques and multifunctional design guidelines for children’s clothing design can be implemented towards sustainability in order to preserve the environment by selecting recyclable materials, promoting profit and human health concerning multifunctional purposes and international standards for children’s clothing design. The findings can be used in various apparel products to help mitigate problems related to environmental pollution and resource depletion in the apparel industry.

Abstract:
With the increasing computing power of computer hardware and the continuous development of Internet technology, it has become possible to sell clothing online. In this context, virtual clothing shops and fitted clothing have also started to appear online and people have a new platform to choose their clothing. In the development of the clothing industry, e-tailoring will become a new trend, and if we look at the clothing industry as a whole, e-tailoring is bound to develop rapidly, as it is now difficult for people to find clothes they are happy with on the shelves. However, many clothing shops on online platforms are now able to provide a more limited service to people, making it difficult for consumers to buy the right clothes for them, and the situation of returns is more serious. So many consumers are still more willing to buy clothes in the physical shop; if we can use the virtual reality environment of three-dimensional clothing design, consumers in the online clothing shop can freely choose their favorite clothing, and then the selected clothing considers the proposed wear in accordance with the size of the consumer production of the human body virtual model to observe the three-dimensional effect so that consumers can choose more suitable clothing. This paper mainly studies the 3D clothing design method in the computer 5G virtual reality environment. In the context of the computer 5G era, this article discusses the characteristics of virtual reality technology in detail and proposes a modeling method for 3D clothing design based on virtual reality. Based on the research status of 3D clothing design at home and abroad, this paper further studies the construction of clothing virtual design and designs and realizes the functions of character virtual modeling, clothing virtual modeling, and accessory virtual modeling. According to the defects of the existing 3D clothing design, a more mature three-dimensional clothing design method based on actual needs is developed. This paper analyzes the 3D clothing design process in detail through demand analysis; constructs the system functional block diagram, system architecture diagram, style customization flowchart, database table, etc.; designs the 3D clothing design module; and designs the main clothing and portraits—part of the modeling. Experimental studies have found that as long as ∣ Z ∣ > 0.042547 is satisfied, the clothing and the human body part can be prevented from crossing when the clothing matches the human body. In this article, in order to prevent large deviations in the garment stitching process, if it is the front piece of the garment, take Z = 0.06 . If it is the back film, take Z = − 0.06 . Virtual reality technology-assisted clothing design has become a new model of computer-aided clothing design, which has successfully promoted the transformation of enterprise employment forms and the improvement of enterprise production efficiency. The percentages of the left neck point, right neck point, left hip point, and right hip point in the human feature points were 15%, 23%, 31%, and 31%, respectively.

Abstract:
The retail landscape includes a vast array of clothing choices, yet style options remain extremely limited for Canadian women in the plus-size category (sizes 14W‐40W). Our study empowered women who wear size 20+ by bringing them into the conversation about plus-size apparel design and development. Few studies have identified clothing solutions utilized by plus-size women or how clothing impacts their feelings about themselves, and there is no research on the clothing needs of women in the upper plus-size range. We recruited participants through Facebook posts to plus-size communities and clothing swap groups located in a major Canadian city. Our research design had a human-centred focus and included co-design methods. Activities included body mapping, body scanning and co-design activities with sixteen women in a full-day workshop to unpack their ideas about plus-size clothing in a body-positive space to foster confidence, strength and autonomy. Body maps allowed our participants to embrace creativity as a tool to communicate meaning in an empowering way. Body scanning provided a quick way to electronically capture body shape and size through circumferential measurements. Co-design activities included drawing and writing. Proposed clothing designs were drawn on body templates derived from participant’s personal body scans. Participants elaborated on their clothing ideas by completing a needs and features chart to share perceived problems and propose solutions. Emergent themes included participants’ ideas about meaning and empowerment, proposed clothing designs, detailed information regarding clothing fit and selection challenges, as well as their feelings about the co-design process. Consultation with people, using co-design methods is a way to reveal fashion gaps and an opportunity to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales and thus is important to designers and retailers specializing in the plus-size market.

Abstract:
In the era of e-commerce, online clothing sales have grown rapidly, but the differences in clothing size and style details have brought serious problems to consumers’ purchase. At present, as far as online clothing sales are concerned, the most prominent problem is that consumers cannot try on clothes online as they do in the real environment, let alone touch and feel the texture of clothing fabrics. This has seriously affected and restricted the development of online clothing sales. The after-sales service cannot keep up, which is mainly reflected in the consumer return and replacement which is not convenient, and the purchased clothing cannot be received in time and other aspects. 3D garment customization is a hot area of research at present, and there is a wide range of needs to implement a software that can be customized for users. As a depth sensing technology, it strengthens the ability of video sensors for target recognition and brings new advances in sensing and processing deep vision tasks. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes a modern clothing design scheme based on human 3D somatosensory technology. The designed scheme focuses on the acquisition of human size data and the personalized combination process of clothing components in the process of clothing design. In the scene where the human body changes greatly or the human body moves rapidly, the real-time limb coverage of the clothing fabric is higher, and the posture matching degree is higher. Applicable clothing types and human body pose types are more abundant, with a higher sense of reality. The clothing perception model fused with profile and girth features can match the dimensional changes of key parts of the human body. Through personalized clothing design, the combination of clothing parts is used to provide more choices of clothing styles, colors, and sizes. Using this solution, the time of clothing design can be greatly shortened, and the user’s satisfaction with the clothing design can be improved.

In order to recognize the clothing style, this paper establishes a standard clothing style library. The images of clothing style are provided and annotated by fashion design experts. The clothing style image is represented as a set of line segments that is obtained by detecting the lines and corners consisting of the edge feature points in the image. Then, the authors extract the features of the line segment set and use the extracted features to establish clothing style matching rules to make the system automatically produce the matching and recognizing criteria for the clothing style images. When inputting an image of a person wearing clothes, they first find the position of the person through skin color detection and then locate the clothing. The clothing region is segmented by seed growth algorithm. The features of the segmentation are compared with clothing style matching rules to determine the style. The experimental results show that the recognition rate of clothing style can reach more than 92% for the standard clothing images and more than 91% for real clothing images.

Abstract:
Clothing design for dance is an area that has been little documented, particularly in relation to the experience and perception of the dancer. Contemporary dance and clothing can both be understood as fundamentally phenomenological and as such there is further potential to investigate the lived experience of wearing clothing in dance. This article approaches dress in the context of the moving and dancing body, and it aims to develop an understanding of the role of dress in dance by focusing on the sensory, embodied experience and perception of the performer. It addresses questions of how clothing is perceived in movement by the performer, how and if clothing’s design intention, materiality and form motivate physical response, and what conscious or unconscious cognitive processes may be at play in this interaction between the active body and clothing. The intention is to propose developed methods for designers across clothing disciplines to contribute in a meaningful way to the overall dance work. The article draws on an analysis of my practice-led research that employs embodied experience of dress to inform the design and development of clothing as communication and performance. The research has involved close collaboration with a dancer, analysis of recorded interviews, and visual documentation of design and movement. The research has produced data on the dancer’s experience and perception of garments in performance and this is discussed here in relation to writings on perception, performance, the body and cognition. The research is approached through theory and practice and draws on interviews, observation and lived experience. This article is developed from an earlier conference paper that investigated the role and developed potential of clothing in contemporary dance that was presented at the 4th Global Conference: Performance: Visual Aspects of Performance Practice, Inter-Disciplinary.Net, held in Oxford on 17–19 September 2013.

Abstract:
Abstract Reports attribute many physical, psychological and mental benefits to yoga sports. However, when it comes to actual research, yoga clothing has not attracted the same level of attention. The aim of this study, which involved a questionnaire survey, clothing development and clothing performance evaluation, is to propose an ergonomic design process for the design of yoga functional clothing. Results showed that textile material was rated as the most important factor for yoga clothing. The shoulder and the waist-belly regions were considered as the most important areas for yoga clothing. The newly designed clothing prototype was observed to subject significantly lower pressure to the waist under the forward bending pose (p<0.05), but with significantly higher pressure on the buttocks at the posture of the deep knee bending pose (p<0.05). It also resulted in a lower change rate of clothing vertical displacement, especially at the shoulder and waist regions. The newly designed prototype was rated with a significantly lower tightening sensation and pulling sensation during the deep knee bending posture (p<0.05). Results indicate that proper design of yoga clothing structure and selection of fabric material could reduce clothing deformation, pressure on the skin and improve subjective wearing sensations.

Recent reports supported by research indicate the need to encourage girls as well as boys to continue the study of mathematics. Two reasons often given for the lack of females' interest in mathematics are its perception as a male domain and the scarcity of female role models. These influences appear to be active early in the mathematics curriculum. Despite the efforts of concerned teachers and textbook publishers, the majority of classroom applications of mathematics are oriented more toward males than females. Further, historical references to such female mathematicians such as Hypatia, Kovalevsky, and Noether do little toencouragetoday's young women who may not wish to become mathematicians to choose vocations in which mathematics is important

Abstract:
Most clothing recommendation methods have problems such as high resource consumption and inconsistent subjectively labeled clothing labels. Based on this, a multilabel classification algorithm based on deep learning (DL) theory is introduced, based on which the clothing style recognition model is constructed. Next, the concept of the decision tree algorithm is given, and the clothing recommendation model is built based on this algorithm. Moreover, the clothing style recognition model based on a multilabel classification algorithm and the clothing recommendation system based on a decision tree algorithm are tested by building simulation experiments and combining neural network technology. Finally, the application of the decision tree algorithm and DL theory in clothing recommendation design is studied through the literature collection method. The research focus is to realize the recognition of clothing through decision tree algorithm and DL method to achieve the intelligent recommendation of clothing style. The results show that: (1) the neural network technology in DL theory can realize efficient recognition and classification of clothing style by automatically extracting image features and combining with a multilabel classification algorithm. (2) The decision tree algorithm can make an initial recommendation according to users’ style preferences, then make implicit recommendations through user retrieval, browsing, and other operations, and make dynamic clothing style recommendations to users. (3) When the neural network based on a multilabel classification algorithm is trained, the precision, recall rate, and F1 values are 0.73, 0.43, and 0.55, respectively. (4) After using the clothing recommendation system based on the decision tree algorithm, the subjects’ average satisfaction is 86.25%, indicating that this system can give users a better clothing recommendation experience. This exploration aims to provide a crucial reference for further improving the quality of clothing recommendation services. It has important theoretical significance and practical value for the development of artificial intelligence in the field of fashion design, and is expected to provide a reference for the development of bionics.

In the traditional clothing customization system, only the designer participates in the clothing design, and the style is single. In the face of numerous styles, the user just repeatedly arranges and combines the styles, but does not realize the user’s innovative design. In this paper, we propose a novel multitask deep convolutional neural network training method for task-by-task transfer learning, and learn deep image features for image retrieval tasks on noisy user click data. Image retrieval model based on image-text multimodal correlation features: this paper uses image-text multimodal correlation features to calculate the correlation between query keywords and images, and calculates the correlation between images and images. In this paper, the method of automatic generation of clothing style is researched, and parameterized coding is designed for it. Taking the typical style of suits as the initial population, through the human-computer interaction interface, the scoring value is assigned to the fitness value to carry out the evolution process. The binary string of the suit style generated by the genetic algorithm is decoded through the decoding algorithm and rules, decoded into a visual style diagram of the style of the suit style, and the style diagram of the suit style is automatically drawn. From the perspective of clothing design, this paper summarizes the general design methods of outdoor sports smart clothing, follows the integration of people-clothing-environment, and proposes a wearer-centered design concept to deeply explore the rationality of outdoor sports smart clothing design methods. This paper further solves the key problems in the design process, and takes the fashion of clothing as the core principle to design the structure of clothing modeling. The fabric selection of suits is based on the principle of clothing comfort. The key is to realize the outdoor sports monitoring function of suits through sensing technology. The design uses Arduino as an electronic prototype platform, so as to detect the heart rate of the human body during exercise and the microclimate temperature under the clothes. This kind of suit with monitoring function is ultimately a combination of sensing device and clothing. It not only has monitoring function, but also has the aesthetic concept of clothing design and conforms to the performance of human body structure, which will provide reference and reference for the design of outdoor sports smart clothing.
