The purpose of this study was to examine sport injuries and cognition of risk management of table tennis club members. Members of table tennis clubs in Taichung, Changhua, Chiayi, and Tainan were selected via a convenient sampling. 352 copies of the questionnaire were sent, in which 326 valid copies were retrieved, and the valid retrieval rate was 92%. The following findings were yielded after the data were analyzed statistically: (1) The table tennis club members (respondents) of different marital statuses have significant differences in terms of the “internal psychological factors” of sport injuries; (2) the respondents with different background variables show no significant differences in terms of the “external environmental factors” of sport injuries; (3) the respondents with different background variables show no significant differences in terms of the aspects of risk management – “self-cognitive factors,” “facility and equipment factors,” and “coach management factors;”(4) the “internal psychological factors” and “external environmental factors” of sport injuries and “self-cognitive factors,” “facility and equipment factors,” and “coach management factors” of risk management have no significant correlations (p>.05). Discussions were made based on the findings and specific suggestions were proposed for relevant authorities and follow-up researchers.

In recent years, the issues related to barrier free environment have raised much attention. Most of the related researches on barrier free environment mainly focus on the public facilities, while there are few researches concerning the barrier free environment of sports and leisure activities. With the development of the handicapped sport events and the promotion of disabled sports from the government, there has been more population devoted to the handicapped/ disabled sports activities. In the handicapped/ disabled sports, the research related to wheelchair tennis mainly focus on the improvement of wheelchair and the batting and technique of wheelchair tennis. To promote the wheelchair tennis sports for those handicapped/ disabled members, the first step is that the tennis club must provide barrier free environment. However, for the previously tennis clubs, there were not barrier free environment. This research takes the Ever-Green Tennis Club in Peitou area as an example. Based on the Standard of the Barrier Free Facilities of Buildings by the Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior, the passageway, the ramp, the handrail, indoor exits and the toilet must be equipped with the facilities for the handicapped/ disabled member as the standard for the tennis club’s barrier free environment. It is hoped that with these facilities provided for the handicapped/ disabled athletes, it would raise their interests of joining the tennis club. It is hoped that by means of providing professional coaching the wheelchair tennis sport, the club can provide general leisure activities as well as rehabilitation. Once these athletes master and improve their tennis skills, they can take part in the national completion or the related competition hold by the tennis club. Further these events can raise the reputation of the tennis club. Once these handicapped/ disabled athletes were chosen as a national team to participate in the international competitions, it can also raise the visibility scale of the county.

The major purpose of the study is to construct a management information system for a tennis academy. The system can help to delete using papers and the information can transfer more rapidly and transparently. Most tennis academies provide variety training programs and the difficulties of programs are also design for different levels of players. Hence, the programs are complex. But the coaches assign programs to students according to their experience. With more students, less consideration could happen and the players cannot make more progresses. The study constructs a system for coach to build their lessons using videos and help students make progress with completed training programs. Besides that function, the match information such as competitors, court numbers are also provided by the system. Students can learn the programs in advance through videos and parents can also understand their children’s undergoing programs. All the data can be recorded in the database and information can be retrieved easily.

Besides, paved surfaces have been also developed with various types of materials. The study was conducted in a tennis club in Huiwei. By a review of the literature and observation, it points out that individuals with different degrees of specialization may have different perceptions of flow experience. However, the previous studies did not indicate if court characters may influence the development of specialization and flow experience; hence, the relationship between tennis players and a court is worth conducting. As for questionnaire design, the researcher interviewed with tennis players and experts, then discussed test items with the advisor, and induced user behavior to develop the questionnaire for this study. 120 copies of the questionnaires were distributed and 74 copies were valid. Then, the researcher categorized the responses by personal backgrounds, tennis specialization, flow experience, and court characters, and analyzed the data with Independent-samples t Test, One-way ANOVA, and the Least Significant Difference (LSD). The results of the study found that the relationships among tennis specialization, flow experience, and court characters have significant correlation, and will provide tennis players with appropriate suggestions to gain better recreational experience. Hopefully, the study can help curriculum design for a tennis course, and planning and management of a tennis club in the future.
