The New World species of Hendelia Czerny, 1903 (Clusiidae, Clusiodinae) are recognized as a single lineage (the “H. mirabilis clade”) and revised with the description of seven new neotropical species: H. boliviensis spec. nov., H. campa spec. nov., H. heliconiae spec. nov., H. masneri spec. nov., H. nigripalpus spec. nov., H. putealis spec. nov. and H. salebrosa spec. nov. The Oriental species of the clusiid genera Phylloclusia Hendel, 1913, Sobarocephala Czerny, 1903, Tetrameringia McAlpine, 1960, Heteromeringia Czerny, 1903, Tranomeringia Sasakawa, 1966, and Clusia Haliday, 1838, which belong to the subfamily Clusiinae in having inclinate third (lowermost, rarely fourth) fronto-orbital bristles, are revised.
