Amine functionalized silicas are promising chemisorbent materials for post-combustion CO₂ capture due to the high density of active sites per unit mass of adsorbent that can be obtained by tuning the synthesis protocol, thus resulting in high equilibrium CO₂ adsorption capacities. However, when compared to physisorbents, they have a few disadvantages. Firstly, oxidative degradation of the amine groups reduces the lifetime of these adsorbent materials. Furthermore, rapid heat release following the reaction between amines and CO₂ results in large local temperature spikes which may adversely affe

Low doping levels in oxides can increase catalytic activity, which promotes more surface active sites present on the catalysts. Vanadium oxides were extensively investigated in field of catalysts, because their variable electronic structures and chemical reducibility. Low level of vanadium doping in materials consists of isolated VOx clusters. The V2O5 forms when the amount of VOx exceeds that required

Copper ion was adsorbed onto the surface of SnO2 nanoparticles for the p-n heterojunction formation by using the precipitation and SILAR (successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction) method, respectively. The effects of copper content on the properties such as microstructure, electrical behavior, and response toward CO gas concentration of SnO2 nanoparticles were investigated as a function of copper ion addition by the analyses of XRD,

The MWCNTs on carbon fiber were prepared by the drop-by-drop process, followed by pulse electrodeposition of Ni-Co hydroxide nanoflakes on the surfaces of MWCNTs. The effects of the pulse electrodeposition conditions of Ni-Co hydroxides, including the deposition current density, current-on time, current-off time, deposition cycles and Ni to Co bath ratio, and MWCNTs drop-times were systematically investigated. The optimum deposition conditions were

So this study was initially focused on investigating Aulhopcalite catalysts further. Also, since according to literature, MnxOy has catalytic potential, the study of AulMnxOy catalysts was included. Au/hopcalite and Aul/nxOy catalysts were made by means of deposition-precipitation, colloidal gold deposition and co-precipitation. Only one catalyst-type was highly acti

The sol was prepared by using TMOS. After hydrolysis and condensation of TMOS catalyzed by cysteamine for 30 min at 4 0C, a gel containing added enzymes was obtained. A glass-like solid was obtained after drying the gel at room temperature for two days. The pH and temperature stability of the DAAO were enhanced significantly after encapsulated in silica glass. Catalase was co-encapsulated with DAA
