The aim of this study is to provide an additional report of Holothuria sanctori Delle Chiaje, 1823, a sea cucumber species from the Akkum rocky bottom habitat located off the coast of Mersin. The individual of H. sanctori was collected from a rocky crevice at 8 meters depth. The distinctive morphological characteristics of H. sanctori were noted. H. sanctori was observed to have ossicular structures forming buttons with different sizes and numbers of holes. The body color of the H. sanctori specimen is dark brown and has yellowish ossicles on the body surface.

Abstract: Due to global warming and climate change, there are now difficult conditions in the coal mining industry. Automation in the field of coal mine-shaft is in fact necessary to reduce costs and boost profitability while also improving product quality, and it will also reduce diggers' efforts. Mining is both necessary for the manufacture of goods, infrastructure, and services that improve people's lives and one of the world's most dangerous trades. The need for coal as a source of energy is always high and significant. However, hundreds of people have died in mining accidents around the w

We present the first marine reservoir age and δR determination for the island of St. Helena using marine mollusk radiocarbon dates obtained from an historical context of known age. This represents the first marine reservoir age and δR determination in the southern Atlantic Ocean within thousands of kilometers of the island. The depletion of 14C in the shells indicates a rather larger reservoir age for that portion of the surface Atlantic than models indicate. The implication is that upwelling old water along the Namibian coast is transported for a considerable distance, although it is likely t

This article addresses the challenges posed by the complex environment of coal mines and underground coal bunkers, focusing on the design of a stable and flexible mechanism that meets the movement and operational needs of a coal bunker cleaning robot in confined spaces. The robot is equipped with a power system specifically adapted to the harsh coal bunker environment, ensuring an adequate supply of energy. The power source is based on a streamer power supply, while hydraulic systems provide support and stability. Additionally, the robot is outfitted with high-precision sensors to perceive its

The new genus and species is assigned to the subfamily Sclerothyoninae based on a suite of characters, which include the radial and interradial plates of the calcareous ring united at the base only. Paulayellus gen. nov. differs from the other Sclerothyoninae genera in having posterior processesof radial plates undivided. AbstractAt the outbreak of the Second World War the holiday camp entrepreneur Billy Butlin agreed a secret deal to build an Admiralty training camp near Pwllheli in North Wales. The camp would be transferred to Butlin at the end of the war for use as a holiday camp. Whilst planners were initially horrified, the strategic argument that such camps would concentrate coastal development and also provide the necessary places for the expansion of ‘holidays with pay’ prevailed. More sustained opposition came from those concerned about the imposition of a culture of urbanised mass leisure on the Welsh
