Abstract:
The voltage transformer based on capacitor divider is susceptible to stray capacitance and Bi4Ge3O12 crystal is sensitive to temperature, which leads to the decrease of measurement precision. To solve these questions, a kind of temperature self-healing optical voltage transformer based on the coaxial capacitor is proposed in this paper. By using coaxial capacitor divider structure instead of the traditional capacitor divider structure, and using a reference light path to achieve the function of temperature self-healing, the measurement accuracy of the optical voltage transformer can be improve

A new automated-switching precision decade capacitor for applications in industries was designed and tested. By using coaxial microwave switches, the automated-switching precision decade capacitor can be automatically set by electrical TTL signals controlled by a computer. To prevent capacitance from drifting caused by variations of ambient temperature, the internal temperature of the automated-switching precision decade capacitor was effectively kept constant using a temperature-controlled oven with sufficiently thermal isolation. Furthermore, to fulfil the compact-size requirement for using

An equivalent installation scheme is proposed and justified, based on the analysis of which the influence of the inductance of the circuit and the capacitance of the capacitor bank on the value of the maximum current and ne

In order to accurately measure and trace micro-force, a micro-force calibration device is designed. According to the principle of electrostatic force reproduction, a coaxial cylindrical variable area capacitor is designed. Through the balance between the standard weight and micro-force generated by micro displacement of the two electrodes, the micro-force be measured for traceability. Electromagnetic finite element method analysis results show that the improved capacitor has little effect on micro-force and applicable to the device. In this paper, we report a novel self-supported PANI@MnO2 coaxial nanowire network sponge as a binder free electrode for supercapacitors. The as-prepared material has long MnO2 nanowire core, uniform PANI shell, intertwined nanowire networks and sponge-like structure. Its unique structure promotes the conductivity, electrochemical performance and stability of the material. The specific capacitance of this PANI@MnO2 coaxial nanowire network sponge electrode was as high as 344 F·g−1 and maintained about 98.6% of its initial value. Moreover, a high energy density of 86 Wh·kg−1 at a power density

This document describes the design and deployment of a first generation water vapor density sensing unit, the HumiSense. This device is based on an open, air-filled capacitor which is part of a resonant circuit. The frequency of the resonant circuit mixed with a fixed frequency oscillator is the basis of the method to generate a signal that is associated to the change in water vapor density within the open capacitor with time. The physical testing results were inconclusive given that there were many unresolved artifacts in the data. Several suggestions for improving the device for future devi

In the design of oil wells subjected to temperature variations and imposed deformations, the fracture toughness of the cement pastes is a very important property. In order to obtain higher toughness values and adequate rheological properties, cement pastes modified by polymer and reinforced by wollastonite microfibers were developed and studied. In the present case, the redispersible polymer powder used was the styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). The pastes were mechanically characterized by the evaluation of compressive strength, Young’s modulus, Poisson’s ratio and strain capacity. The rheologic

Abstract:
The turbulent mixing of axisymmetric jet flows is investigated using large-eddy simulation (LES) and Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The flowfield of interest consists of a round jet and a surrounding, coaxial annular jet ejected into a quiescent free stream. This flow situation arises, for example, in the flow of hydrogen and oxygen in rocket combustion systems. In such cases, the jets have significantly different densities, which has been found experimentally to strongly influence the downstream turbulent mixing dynamics. The goal of the present stu
