Cycloneda pretiosa, new species is described from Lago Pirihueico in southern Chile The species is diagnosed and compared with both related and superficially similar species. Habitus and genitalic characters are illustrated. Geographical and temporal data are given. The study of coccinellids during 2021-2022 years in the different habitats of the "Plaiul Fagului" Reserve allowed to identify 12 species of ladybugs. Among the highlighted coccinellids, 8 species: Coccinula quatuordecimpustulata, Hippodamia variegata, Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata, Tytthaspis sedecimpunctata, Scymnus frontalis, S. nigrinus and Vibidia duodecimgutata are cited for the first time for the reserve. A rare species Platynaspis luteorubra, cited for the second time on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, was also identified.

Abstract:
El coccinélido Anovia punica Gordon (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) es un e ciente controlador biológico de Crypticerya multicicatrices Kondo y Unruh (Hemiptera: Monophlebidae) en Colombia continental y en la isla de San Andrés. Debido a que A. punica es un depredador voraz, es difícil proveer un constante suministro de presas vivas para mantener una cría masiva de este enemigo natural. El objetivo de esta investigación fue buscar una alternativa para alimentar al coccinélido mediante dietas artificiales y disminuir su dependencia en presas vivas

Hemisarcoptes (Acari: Hamisarcoptidae) is a parasite of scale insects (Diaspididae), tenacious pests of vascular plants. Hemisarcoptes also has a stenoxenic phoretic (dispersal) relationship with Chilocorus (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae). Chilocorus feeds on diaspidids, transports mites as they feed, and has been applied to the control of scales, with limited success.
