Abstract:
The taxonomy of the freshwater crabs of Mt Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains in central Kenya, East Africa is revised based on a large collection of previously unreported material. Three species belonging to the genus Potamonautes MacLeay, 1838 (Potamonautidae Bott, 1970) are recognized from the region and redescribed. Potamonautes jeanneli (Bouvier, 1921) and P. odhneri (Colosi, 1924) are both resurrected from synonymy and P. alluaudi (Bouvier, 1921) is recognized as a valid species rather than as a subspecies of P. suprasulcatus (Hilgendorf, 1898). Abstract We are reporting for the first time the presence of the hermit crab Pagurus chevreuxi (Bouvier, 1896) (Paguridae) in the Canary Islands. This finding is based on the collection of three individuals and the sighting of several additional specimens on the coast of Lanzarote. The collection, at coordinates 28°55′N, establishes a new southern distribution limit for this species. The species’ geographical distribution aligns perfectly with the typical Atlanto-Mediterranean biogeographic pattern, which is characterized by benthic species showing a clear affinity for warm-temperate waters.

It is widely accepted that these 49 volumes of Chinese books were a gift from the Chinese emperor Kangxi to Louis XIV, the King of France, with Bouvet, the person who brought the books, believed to have been appointed as the Kangxi Emperor’s special envoy. This led to the discovery of drugs known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). These inhibitors bind to the kinase domain (KD) of the BCR::ABL1 oncoprotein in a competitive manner to inhibit it.(2). Nevertheless, as the disease progresses, TKIs become less effective. Unfortunately, the mechanism of CML advancement is not well known, and there are no readily available common biomarkers for CML progress
