The subgenus Parapisa of the genus Apisa is reviewed based on the examination of 104 specimens. Apisa (P.) cinereocostata and A. (P.) subargentea are redescribed and their intraspecific variation is analysed in detail. A new species A. (1990) on the interference of ascorbic acid (AA) with starch-iodine reaction, the present authors repeated it, giving a proper explanation of the influence of AA in this reaction.
