Abstract:
InGentiana luteatwo varieties are described:G. luteavar.aurantiacawith orange corolla colors andG. luteavar.luteawith yellow corolla colors. Both color varieties co-occur in NW Spain, and pollinators select flower color in this species. It is not known whether a hybridization barrier exists between theseG. luteacolor varieties. We aim to test the compatibility between flower color varieties inG. luteaand its dependence on pollen vectors. Within a sympatric population containing both flower color morphs, we analyzed differences in reproductive success (number, weight, viability and germinability of seeds) depending on fertilization treatments (autogamy and xenogamy within variety and among varieties). We found a 93% reduction in number of seeds and a 37% reduction in seed weight respectively of autogamy treatments compared to xenogamy crossings. Additionally, reproductive success is higher within color varieties than among varieties, due to a 45% seed viability reduction on hybrids from different varieties. Our results show thatG. luteareproductive success is strongly dependent on pollinators and that a partial hybridization barrier exists betweenG. luteavarieties.

Abstract:
We tested if the association of the color red with negative meaning and failure varies according to social context and life experience. A Stroop word evaluation task was used to investigate the link between the colors red and green, and failure and success among 3 groups of Chinese people, comprising college students, shareholders, and adults in the general population. Results show that whereas college students reacted faster to red–failure and green–success words, shareholders reacted faster to red–success and green–failure words, and there was no association between color and valence among the adults in the general population. To the best of our knowledge we are the first to show individual differences in implicit color–valence association related to success and failure.

Abstract:
Purpose. The purpose of this article is to propose a solution for conflict resolution in a bioecological system. Background. In 1979, Bronfenbrenner introduced his bioecological theory of human development which suggested that children are immersed in four integrated systems that affect student behavior and success in public schools. More than thirty years later, the bioecological system has experienced several changes, most notably in the structure of the family and changes in the culture. Conflict can lead to tragedy but intervention programs have seen some success when any one of the four systems is positively affected. Winning Colors® can be an effective tool to teach conflict resolution and communication leading to situational leadership, team building, conflict resolution, and improved communication in any inter-personal situation. Winning Colors® uses four color cards with corresponding behavior strengths that can be understood by children and adults in a short period. Aim. In this article, we explain how Winning Colors® program that has been used to teach conflict resolution and communication to thousands of learners. Conclusion. Winning Colors® can be implemented to teach conflict resolution and communication across the bioecological system.

Abstract:
If an animated film wants to present extraordinary visual effects, the successful use of art colors is the key to the success or failure of an animated film. Although our country’s animated film started a short time ago, its development has been slow. In modern times, it is difficult to compete with excellent animation works of other countries; animation is an art form that requires the combination of modern technology and traditional cultural areas. Chinese cartoons are gradually declining today when the technology is taking off. The reason is that the traditional culture of the country has not been thoroughly explored. In today’s diversified world, if you want to revive the brilliance of Chinese animation, you must deeply and systematically study various elements of national art and form your own creative thinking and creation system. Particularly under computer vision, the gap is very obvious. Under the computer vision, in order to study the characteristics and techniques of the use of fine art colors in animated films, to promote the development of animated films in China, this article analyzes the role of art color in the animation of excellent Chinese and foreign animation works in recent years, through literature analysis, comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analysis, etc., to study the meaning and application of color symbols, hoping to be a Chinese animation providing useful help for film creation and development. Studies have shown that color has a strong influence on animated films. A good use of artistic color can add a lot of color to an animated film. According to statistics, art colors account for at least 20% of excellent animation works, which can be integrated into animation colors. Animation works with domestic characteristics are easier to succeed. This shows that the use of artistic colors can play a key role in animated films.

Abstract:
Abstract As brood parasites, nestling Brown-headed Cowbirds (Molothrus ater) may exhibit characters that improve their fledging success when reared alongside host young. The coloration of mouthparts of nestlings can influence adult care and, thus, the polymorphism of yellow or white rictal flanges among nestling Brown-headed Cowbirds may reflect differential success with different hosts on the basis of flange color. Moreover, because Brown-headed Cowbirds in the southern United States co-occur with Bronzed Cowbirds (M. aeneus), whose young have white flanges, cowbird nestlings' flange colors may reflect a means for reducing interspecific competition through partitioning of host species on the basis of nestling flange color. To determine whether flange color influences cowbird fledging success with hosts of either color, we recorded the flange colors of cowbirds and their hosts at a site in Texas. We also tested whether flange color was influenced by nestling sex. Most hosts of Brown-headed Cowbirds had young with yellow flanges (81%, n = 16 spp.), yet Brown-headed Cowbirds with white flanges were more common (61%, n = 107). Bronzed Cowbirds parasitized primarily species whose young had white flanges (86%, n = 348 eggs). Despite the differential use of hosts with regard to flange color, the frequencies of each were similar among nestling and juvenile Brown-headed Cowbirds. Likewise, the frequencies of each color did not differ significantly between the sexes. Therefore, we suggest that a flange color matching that of nestmates is not strongly selected for by hosts. Abstract:
Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s song “Despacito” shattered numerous records to become one of the most successful Spanish-language songs in U.S. pop music history. Declared 2017’s “Song of the Summer,” the “Despacito” remix featuring Justin Bieber prompted discussions about the racial dynamics of crossover for Latin music and Latina/o artists. However, little attention was paid to the ways that “Despacito”’s success in the Latin music market demonstrated similar racial dynamics within Latin music, especially in the song’s engagement with reggaeton, a genre originally associated with Black and working-class communities. This paper examines the racial politics that surround “Despacito”’s success in both the Latin mainstream and the U.S. mainstream. We argue that “Despacito” reinforces stereotypes of blackness in the Latin mainstream in ways that facilitate reggaeton’s crossover. In turn, Fonsi himself becomes attributed with similar stereotypes, especially around hypersexuality, that represent him as a tropical Latina/o racialized other in the United States. Through close readings of media coverage of “Despacito” alongside the song’s music video, we argue that it is critical to look at “Despacito”’s success in both the Latin mainstream and the U.S. mainstream in order to examine the complex and contradictory process of crossing over.

Abstract:
Abstract An analysis of the effects of colored leg bands on Red-cockaded Woodpeckers, in a long-term field study, showed that males that wore red bands fledged significantly fewer young than males without red bands. Other colors were unrelated to fledging success. Band color had no detectable effect on the fledging success of adult females. The offspring sex ratio of breeding males wearing red bands was significantly female-biased. Offspring sex ratios were not related to the presence or absence of red bands on breeding females. Wearing a red band did not affect the probability of a male attracting a mate or the probability of switching mates. For both sexes, annual age-specific survival was independent of the presence or absence of a red band, but nestlings wearing red bands were less likely to be sighted as fledglings. Males with red bands fledged fewer young, consistent with both the species-recognition hypothesis and the coverable-badge hypothesis. The coverable-badge hypothesis, which predicts that the inability to conceal a voluntary social signal (the red cockade) can be detrimental, is the more parsimonious explanation of our results.

Abstract:
The influence of tank color on the visual perception of fish larvae and the success of their cultivation depends on the characteristics of each species combined with environmental factors. In this study, we determined the effect of light and dark tank colors on the larviculture of pacamã (Lophiosilurusalexandri), a species with a benthonic habit, and curimatá-pioa (Prochilodus costatus), which swims actively in the water column. Larvae of pacamã and curimatá-pioa were cultivated for 10 days in 5-L tanks, at a density of 15 larvae L-1 and luminosity of 141.7 ± 8.95 lux, and fed Artemia nauplii. Four tank colors were used: green, light blue, brown, and black (with four replications). Survival, biomass and Fulton's condition factor for pacamã larvae were similar in the different colored tanks. However, the larvae in the green tanks showed lower weight than those cultivated in black and brown tanks, as well as shorter total length than that of larvae in the brown-colored tanks. These results are probably due to the association between tank color and benthonic habitat of the pacamã. For the curimatá-pioa, survival and biomass were similar for the different colors. The weight and Fulton's condition factor were higher for the larvae cultivated in green and blue tanks. This result could be associated with the adaptation of curimatá-pioa larvae to active swimming in the water column, searching for prey.

Abstract:
Modern art development, especially in abstract art had been started since Expressionism period in Germany. Wassily Kandinsky was one of the pioneers of pure abstract art, he created his masterpieces not only as an artist, but also as an art theorist. Although at first he did not have the education background in art field, since Kandinskywas an academic faculty in art and economic, however he gained his success because of his high interest and spirit in art field.Besides, Kandinsky had created many art theories and perspectives of colors, compositions, forms, and had succeeded to apply it in his paintings. His style was inspired by Claude Monet’s painting ‘Haystack’ and the opera performance ‘Lohengrin’ by Richard Wagner. Kandinsky began to study new theories of art by learning art elements and principles more profound, he learned about colors deeply and tried to develop Goethe’s color theory, he also tried to elaborate the meaning of forms and applied the compositions in his artworks as well.

Skervin, Annette. "Success Factors for Women of Color Information Technology Leaders in Corporate America." ScholarWorks, 2015. https://scholarworks.waldenu.edu/dissertations/365.

Full text
Abstract:
The 2013 United States Census data documents the significant underrepresentation of women of color in the information technology (IT) field. Women of color (Black, Hispanic, Asian or self-classified as non-White) represent an untapped resource in an industry with a low unemployment rate, high starting salaries, and a projected 18% growth rate by the year 2022. Prior researchers have studied White women in IT and have not provided a voice to women of color leaders. The specific problem addressed was the under-representation of women of color IT leaders in corporate America. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to investigate the experiences of women of color as senior IT executives (e.g. chief information officers, vice presidents, directors, etc.) in order to understand the success factors that have contributed to their ability to attain these positions. The research questions addressed how select demographic, individual, and organizational level factors serve as predictors of the presence of women of color as senior IT leaders in corporations. A purposeful sampling approach selected 22 senior women of color IT leaders in corporate America. Data was analyzed using the transcendental phenomenological process, which aligned interview statements to the research questions and identified 2 broad themes. This study found that change needs to occur at the broader organizational level. It challenged the traditional leadership IT definition that seeks to conform women of color to the social requirements of the largely White male IT population. Social change will occur when changes are made within this organizational culture to have a broader, inclusive definition of an IT leader, and through training of all (men and women) to be transformed to this new definition.

Abstract:

As the national agenda is calling for increased completion rates and degree attainments in community colleges, a predominantly White college in the southwestern United States offering a large number of online courses, seeks to gain knowledge of the conditions and initiatives needed to allow success to happen among males of color. Although there is an increased participation in online learning and pursuit of degrees by women and students of color, men of color are no more likely to succeed in the online environment than traditional classroom settings (Jackson, et al., 2008).

The purpose of this case study was to examine the self-reported narratives, beliefs, and experiences of African American, American Indian, Asian American, and Latino males in the online environment to gain an understanding of conditions needed within and beyond the online environment where academic success can happen. This study reports how nontraditional and traditional male students of color use technology to obtain their educational goals. Surveys and interviews were used to capture descriptive narratives and experiences of their encounters with web-based learning. The implications of this study provide information for institutional practice and future research about conditions and initiatives for increasing the retention and completion rates of males of color in the online environment.

Robitaille, Theresa Elizabeth. "Long-Term Stony Coral Transplantation Success Offshore Southeast, Florida, USA." NSUWorks, 2014. http://nsuworks.nova.edu/occ_stuetd/16.

Full text
Abstract:
Transplanted coral (Order: Scleractinia) colony condition was surveyed at five injury event sites, two coral nurseries, and one impact minimization location off the coast of Broward County, Florida, USA in 2012. Because stony corals are long-lived and slow growing, generally growing less than one centimeter in diameter per year, determining transplantation success requires long-term (greater than two years) monitoring. Long-term monitoring efforts, however, are rarely completed. This study is unique in that it examined stony coral transplantation success of several projects over a time period of 6-17 years. Control colonies were also surveyed in order to compare naturally growing coral colonies to the experimental (transplanted) colonies. Because the transplantation activities at the projects examined in this study occurred over a long time period (oldest population occurred 17 years prior to this study and the youngest occurred six years), colony percent partial mortality was used as a measure of success (colony condition). A successful effort should result in transplanted colonies experiencing partial morality similar to that of control colonies over extended periods of time. The control colonies used came from Broward County Annual Monitoring sites, and the M/V Firat and the C/V Hind ship grounding sites. The experimental colonies used came from five injury events (C/V Hind, Clipper Lasco, M/V Firat, and M/V Spar Orion ship grounding sites and Hillsboro Cable Drag location), two stony coral nurseries (DERM Modules and Warren Modules), and one impact minimization location (Broward County Mitigation Boulders). With all control colonies pooled and experimental colonies pooled, no significant differences in colony partial mortality were found between the experimental and control colonies. Once each experimental coral colony was reattached to the substrate, it generally appeared similar to the control colonies; the mean percent mortality for control colonies was 50% (2.95 ±SE) and the mean percent mortality for experimental colonies was 56% (1.24 ±SE). However, differences were found between stony coral species within each treatment (control and experimental). Colony mortality for identified control corals was greatest for Porites astreoides, Siderastrea siderea, and Montastrea annularis complex. For experimental colonies, S. siderea and P. astreoides had the most mortality. The least mortality of the control corals were found in Montastrea cavernosa, Solenastrea bournoni, and Meandrina meandrites. Of the experimental colonies, S. bournoni, M. meandrites, and Montastrea annularis complex had the least mortality. Resource managers need to consider colony transplantation location, coral species, and percent initial colony mortality when allocating efforts for injury and impact minimization events. Also, project initial restoration and final reports documenting transplantation locations and colony species, size and/or mortality should to be more detailed; this would be beneficial for future monitoring efforts.

Abstract:
This study sought to examine how schools influenced and promoted student resilience through the lens of persistence, leading to high school completion. The focus of this study was significant because there are few studies that focus on student resiliency as it relates to high school completion through the lens of persistence. Previous studies have generally identified at-risk factors for non-high school completion and either qualify or quantify the results. They have not taken into account the social and economic contexts of school and the communities and their influence on student resiliency. This study utilized a phenomenological methodology that identified the lived experiences of twenty-six 11th - grade students of color at an urban high school in Southern California that manifested resilience and persistence. Semi-structured interviews of participants drawn from a stratified variation sampling were utilized. A CRT framework was applied to examine the role of high school as a protective factor, the interactions of faculty and staff, and the perceptions of participants as it relates to school culture and climate. External factors such as supportive relationships in the familial and community context were also examined and discussed. The results of this study highlighted school climate that promotes belonging along with a collective focus on the study of student success, the role of teacher-student and counselor relationships as being pivotal to the development of resilience in students of color. The findings from this study provide examples for schools to develop supportive climates that focus on promoting and developing academic, social, and emotional resiliency in students of color with specific next step recommendations.

Full text
Abstract:
Anthropogenic perturbations to Arctic ecosystems have influenced large-scale climate processes, as well as finer-scale ecological relationships within and amongst populations of species. Life history theory predicts a trade-off between the temporal variation in a vital rate and its impact on population dynamics. Here, we examine the drivers of long-term variation in reproductive success in a sub-Arctic common eider (Somateria mollissima) colony, and evaluate the impacts of variation in reproductive success on eider population dynamics. In Chapter 2, we develop a suite of nest survival models to evaluate the effects of variation in predator abundance, the availability and spatial distribution of alternative prey, and breeding season climate on annual common eider nest success. Eider nest success declined across the 41 years of study, but was also highly variable across years. Annual variation in nest success was driven by a complex interaction between predators and alternative prey, as well as breeding season climate. Our results suggest that increased abundance of snow geese (alternative prey) may buffer annual fluctuations in arctic fox abundance, yet result in a long-term decline in eider nest success suggesting apparent competition via other predator species (e.g. gulls). The effect of breeding season climate was subtle compared to the influence of biotic factors and indicated that cold, wet conditions in early spring were correlated with decreased nest success, while warm, wet conditions in late spring increased eider nest success. In Chapter 3 we develop a stochastic population model to evaluate the relative effects of variation and covariation amongst multiple vital rates on population dynamics, and determine the impact of long-term changes in the abundance of alternative prey on eider population dynamics. Consistent with life history predictions, we found that proportional changes in adult survival have the largest impact on population dynamics, yet high variation in the vital rates underlying fertility contribute more to actual variation in population growth. The eventual exodus of alternative prey from the eider colony reduced the long-term growth rate, primarily through negative impacts on mean nest success.

Abstract:
AbstractIndeed, deterrence, as Freedman and Mazarr recount in this volume in respectively Chaps. 10.1007/978-94-6265-419-8_1 and 10.1007/978-94-6265-419-8_2, aims to dissuade an opponent from taking undesirable actions. Clear communication of demands (a red line for instance), coupled with a credible threat to inflict pain if necessary, and demonstration of resolve are some obvious essential elements for creating effective deterrence. Success crucially also depends on whether the opponent receives the intended signal, interprets it as intended, and has the perception that the message is congruent with reality, i.e., that the opponent can make good on her threats. Success furthermore assumes that the demands communicated are acceptable. If those prerequisites exist, theory suggests a rational actor will back down, after weighing the benefits of the envisioned actions versus the potential costs that may result when the threat is executed. This chapter offers a synthesis of insights that have appeared since the 1980s that fundamentally challenge that assumption of rationality. This contribution about the workings of the human mind concerns the various filters and cognitive shortcuts that colour the incoming stream of information and the processes to digest it and come to a decision.

Abstract:
The second most used page on a newly found website from which a client might buy an item is the ABOUT US page. Using real images of real employees has an overall positive effect on the outcome of that visit. However, it is not always as simple as that. Subtle differences in the content of the pictures may have more of an impact than previously thought. Online advertising has long been considered as a media where creativity is not needed, with the advertising agencies focusing on a few basic rules for displaying ads: call to action, numbers, colors, human figures or symbols and so on. The results are analyzed only on their conversion rate value, this being one of the main reasons why online advertising is being regarded as the future of advertising worldwide. This study is focusing on the Click Through Rate (CTR) impact of different ads using different Facial Symmetry Indices (FSI) on the human figures used. The hypothesis proposed is that a person with a higher FSI, noticeable only at a subconscious level, will generate more clicks on an online ad.

Abstract:
In this chapter, the authors elaborate on the facial image segmentation and the detection of eyes and lips using two neural networks. The first neural network is applied to segment skin-colors and the second to detect facial features. As for input vectors, for the second network the authors apply speed-up robust features (SURF) that are not subject to scale and brightness variations. The authors carried out the detection of eyes and lips on two well-known facial feature databases, Caltech. and PICS. Caltech gave a success rate of 92.4% and 92.2% for left and right eyes and 85% for lips, whereas the PCIS database gave 96.9% and 95.3% for left and right eyes and 97.3% for lips. Using videos captured in real environment, among all videos, the authors achieved an average detection rate of 94.7% for the right eye and 95.5% for the left eye with a 86.9% rate for the lips

Abstract:
A single-camera color PIV system based on the combination of a color-coded illumination and a color high-speed video camera has been developed. The system realizes flow velocity vector fields in multiple layers in the depth direction for a relatively wide volume. The working principle belongs to smoke-imaging PIV since particle per pixel is larger than unity in the digital image plane, which is different from the case of color 3-D PTV. The accuracy of the present color PIV depends on how the integral equation of color-signal overlapping among three wavelengths (R,G,B) is solved as inverse analysis. We propose in this paper a method to reasonably solve the equation, which removes color contamination in RGB sensors, and decomposes the color-illuminated smoke images into the smoke distributions inside individual layers. The first half of the paper deals with linear backward analysis for the color de-contamination to establish triple-layer velocimetry by a single-view imaging of smoke. Based on the success, we present in the second half an extended system that realizes simultaneous six-layer color PIV to which three intermediate colors are additionally illuminated into the measurement volume.

Abstract:
In this study, we showcase a mobileaugmented reality application where a user places various 3D models in atabletop scene. The scene is captured and then rendered as Claude Monet’s impressionistic art style. One possibleuse case for this application is to demonstrate the behavior of the impressionistic art style of Claude Monet, byapplying this to tabletop scenes, which can be useful especially for art students. This allows the user to create theirown "still life" composition and study how the scene is painted. Our proposed framework is composed of threesteps. The system first identifies the context of the tabletop scene, through GIST descriptors, which are used asfeatures to identify the color palette to be used for painting. Our application supports three different color palettes, representing different eras of Monet’s work. The second step performs color mixing of two different colors in thechosen palette. The last step involves applying a three-stage brush stroke algorithm where the image is renderedwith a customized brush stroke pattern applied in each stage. While deep learning techniques are already capableof performing style transfer from paintings to real-world images, such as the success of CycleGAN, results showthat our proposed framework achieves comparable performance to deep learning style transfer methods on tabletopscenes.

Abstract:
The development of machine perfusion preservation (MPP) of kidney has led to significant improvements and greater success rates in kidney transplantation by providing superior preserved tissue and viable non-heart-beating donor tissue. However, machine perfusion of livers has not been successful in improving preservation. Currently, the major cause of damage associated with MPP of livers remains unclear. Previous studies showed increased vascular resistance and blockages during and after 24hrs MPP but no direct evidence existed. Utilizing a novel two colors fluorophores labeling, an intravital microscopic study was conducted to obtain real time images and confocal microscopy to get detailed images in order to correlate fluorescent-tagged endothelial cells (ECs) with red cell stasis. Fluorescein isothiocynate (FITC) was used to label red blood cells (RBCs) and DiI acetylated low-density lipoprotein (DiI acLDL) was used to mark ECs. Structure of ECs was recorded and assessed during 24hrs MPP with University of Wisconsin (UW) solution at 4°C with a flow rate of 4ml/min. Images recorded from intravital microscopy and confocal microscopy show ECs rounding over a period of 24 hrs and subsequent red blood cells stasis after 24hrs MPP and during rewarming.

Abstract:
Badak LNG Plant Bontang have succeeded in mixing different brands of turbomachinery lube oil ISO VG32 which intended to increase flexibility of lube oil usage and eliminate to one brand dependency during operational. The methodology referred to ASTM D7155 Standard Practice for Evaluating Compatibility of Mixtures of Turbine Lubricating Oils and ASTM D4378 Standard Practice for In-Service Monitoring of Mineral Turbine Oils for Steam, Gas and Combined Cycle Turbines. The study was started from lube oil compatibility test at laboratory. After that, a ratio 70:30 of ISO VG32 existing lube oil (DTE Light) and new lube oil (Turbolube XT32) were mixed and trialed to Fuel Gas Compressor and its Turbine Driver. Lube oil and equipment operating parameter such as viscosity, color, water content, total acid number, foaming tendency, oxidation, metal content, flash point, bearing temperature, filter differential pressure, and vibration were collected and compared to baseline data to analyze deterioration indication of lube oil. As long as eight month trial test, there was no deterioration indication of lube oil mixture and no significant influence to the equipment operating performance. Badak LNG have decided to continue lube oil mixing.

Abstract:
Sophisticated vehicle ergonomics are a relevant factor for the success of a new vehicle model. To support the evaluation of vehicle ergonomics we have developed a mobile Augmented Reality (AR) testing platform in cooperation with Volkswagen commercial vehicle. The mobile AR-based testing platform consists of a Volkswagen Multivan, where roof, pillars, and dashboard have been removed. The missing parts are replaced by new virtual parts. A head mounted display presents the virtual parts to the user of the mobile AR testing platform, that way, enabling visibility analyses. The user can also interact with the virtual components of the vehicle to perform reachability analyses. To support these analyses the user’s hands are recognized by the system. In this paper we introduce a method for tracking the user’s hands in a mobile AR testing platform. Using image processing the hands of the user are detected by checking for the skin color or the color of a glove the user wears. From image processing data we compute the position of the user’s real hand and potential collisions between the hand and virtual vehicle components. We also utilize results from collision detection for the interaction with the virtual objects.

Abstract:
Grow-Your-Own (GYO) Teacher Education programs that aim to diversify and strengthen the teacher workforce must provide high-quality learning experiences that support the success and retention of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) teacher candidates and bilingual teacher candidates. Such work requires a holistic and systematic approach to conceptualizing instruction and mentoring that is both linguistically and culturally sustaining. To guide this work in the Master of Arts in Teaching in Clinically Based Elementary program at Oregon State University’s College of Education, we conducted a review of relevant literature and frameworks related to linguistically responsive and/or sustaining teaching or mentoring practices. We developed a set of ten mentoring competencies for school-based cooperating/clinical teachers and university supervisors. They are grouped into the domains of: Facilitating Linguistically and Culturally Sustaining Instruction, Engaging with Mentees, Recognizing and Interrupting Inequitable Practices and Policies, and Advocating for Equity. We also developed a set of twelve instructional competencies for teacher candidates as well as the university instructors who teach them. The instructional competencies are grouped into the domains of: Engaging in Self-reflection and Taking Action, Learning About Students and Re-visioning Instruction, Creating Community, and Facilitating Language and Literacy Development in Context. We are currently operationalizing these competencies to develop and conduct surveys and focus groups with various GYO stakeholders for the purposes of ongoing program evaluation and improvement, as well as further refinement of these competencies.
