Abstract The training methods in combined sports, such as military pentathlon, require a complex, interdisciplinary and personalized approach, aiming at the development of motor skills. Training in the military pentathlon integrates specific training for shooting, obstacle running, obstacle swimming, precision and distance grenade throwing and cross-country running. The five events require distinct skills such as reaction speed, endurance, strength, strength, accuracy and coordination and combinations of these. Modern training methods include integrated training, which combines event-specific

ABSTRACT Purpose: This study aims to compare the efficacy of two different physiotherapy methods for relieving the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), to supplement already imposed methods, and to summarize a new methodology for prevention. Relevance: Improving the overall physical condition of patients, combating a sedentary lifestyle, and training in the correct body position is the way to prevent the disease. Our study provides scientific evidence to justify the role of physiotherapy for the treatment and prevention of relapses in this condition. Subjects: The randomized controlled tr

Introduction: Vibration disease (VD) is the disease with many different symptoms. Non-drug methods are actively used in the methods of its correction. For example, with biofeedback (BFB). The goal is to assess the impact of BFB training on the sensitive area during the correction of balance disorders in patients with VD associated with the combined effects of local and general vibration. Methods: 30 men were examined who were observed with VD associated with combined exposure of local and general vibration (age 48.4±2.1 years). The paper presents the process of training methods’ selection in systems dedicated to detection of chemical hazards. By examining most common training methods used in detection systems, authors indicates which of them are the most relevant to hazardous chemical substance detection systems, assuming that basic efforts focus on the system as the whole (mainly on detection components) rather than the training module. Furthermore, the indicated methods are characterized in detail and combined with overall utility and economic analysis related to the dimension of the resources involved in the work

The training success of deep learning is known to depend on the initial statistics of neural network parameters. Various strategies have been developed to determine suitable mean and standard deviation for weight distributions based on network architecture. However, during training, weights often diverge from their initial scale. This paper introduces the novel concept of weight rescaling, which enforces weights to remain within their initial regime throughout the training process. It is demonstrated that weight rescaling serves as an effective regularization method, reducing overfitting and s

The paper considers approaches to Allsky image segmentation for cloud detection. Color index-based methods, machine learning algorithms, and neural network models are compared. Color threshold methods, such as the cloud index, have shown high sensitivity with ease of implementation, but low versatility. Classic machine learning algorithms provide more flexible adaptation, but are limited in taking into account the spatial context. The results of neural network segmentation turned out to be less accurate, which is explained by the insufficient volume of the training sample. A conclusion is made

In this paper, we show that an increase in apprenticeship wages reduces the demand for apprentices. We exploit a natural experiment that provides exogenous variation in apprenticeship wages combined with discontinuities in the eligibility criteria (firms with fewer than 15 employees are not required to train apprentices). Our main results, based on difference-in-discontinuity methods, indicate that increasing apprenticeship wages from 75% to 100% of the national minimum wage leads to a reduction in the demand for apprentices of 83% in non-eligible firms. In Latin America and the Caribbean and in more advanced economies there is evidence that suggests an imbalance between the skills of the workforce and the skills demanded by the productive sector. If this skills mismatch is large and persistent it leads to significant economic and social costs: economies cannot use their human capital efficiently and many individuals cannot access good quality jobs. Correcting these imbalances is not easy; a number of frictions that are prevalent in the labor and education markets limit the capacity of households and education providers to provide skills in li
