Abstract:
Comic book is a literary medium which communicates via images. It has been part of Indonesian culture since a long time. Back to the 9th century, reliefs of Borobudur temple are proves of the early comic culture in Indonesia. Each relief panel of the Borobudur temple was made with a series of sequential scenes that depict many scenes of the 8th century’s daily life in ancient Java and the story of Sudhana and Manohara. It was made with the same principle of any comics nowadays. This article is a literature study with data gathered from both printed and electronic media. Field observation was d

Abstract:
One of the primary targets of current and especially future cosmological observations are light thermal relics of the hot big bang. Within the Standard Model of particle physics, an important thermal relic are cosmic neutrinos, while many interesting extensions of the Standard Model predict new light particles which are even more weakly coupled to ordinary matter and therefore hard to detect in terrestrial experiments. On the other hand, these elusive particles may be produced efficiently in the early universe and their gravitational influence could be detectable in cosmological observables. I

The purpose of the here presented degree thesis is the comparison of six memoirs, dealing with the "holocaust" phenomenon from the perspective of each single writer, with a critical eye on the way the experience has touched the author's sensibility. I have focused the attention on the latest works published on this particular matter. This graduation thesis is primarily based on Tzvetan Todorov's book "Facing the extreme: moral life in the concentration camps".

Abstract:
This chapter focuses on Bob Fosse’s work on the musicals How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying and Little Me. Though now established as a director-choreographer, Fosse still harbored ambitions as a performer. He played the title role in Pal Joey at New York’s City Center, a role he had first played a decade earlier. In How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Fosse’s musical staging satirized 1960s corporate and sexual politics and was a key ingredient in its long-running success. He choreographed and co-directed (with Cy Feuer) Little Me, a revue-style vehicle for Sid Caes

Surfaces which achieve optical power from prescribed surface relief profiles (called kinoforms) have been generally described in the literature1-3 as diffraction devices, probably because of their similarity to holograms. The design and evaluation of these lenses are performed by either modeling the surface as a very high index lens4,5 or by using a raytrace code to define an arbitrary phase surface expressed as a polynomial. These methods do not utilize the full aberration correction capability of the relief profile when it is defined from a zonal raytrace refraction design. For example, the

In many applications, it is necessary to divide a single laser beam into N beams of similar intensity with a high coupling efficiency. This is the case for robotic vision systems, coherent summation of laser beams, multiple imaging, security systems or coherent addition of detector signals in heterodyne detection. Binary phase gratings have been employed with success for such applications when the number of beams (N) is relatively small (≤9). But as N is increasing the fabrication of these gratings becomes impractical and costly. Fiber gratings, made with optical fibers placed side by side and
