Mançour, Bilah Amina. "Le poids des Soussis dans le commerce de gros à Casablanca." Paris 1, 1996. http://www.theses.fr/1996PA010636.
Full textThe Soussis look as a special aspect in morroco. They are known by their good skills in trade and many other activities. And Casablanca (the economical capital) is considered as their favorite place for their activities or work. This social group that is known by their traditional immigration and her profession in trade in Casablanca. So the weight of their association is very important trough two poits is its economical center. And the most important factors that helped the Soussis in this production are the saving and the family and provencial cooperation. And the exploitations that the salesmen haves has to do with other different trade companies and the most important companies have a relation with Casablanca the place where they live. And inspite of the Soussis economical success and their citizen ship for being landed immigrants in casablance their relation with their home region is still strong because the money they send to their home region (Souss) plays an important role in civilizing this region

Full textAny company which purchases and selis its products in its own name and whose sales turnover is composed of 50% or more from wholesalers, industrial, craftsmen services allowances, cooperatives and administrations, can be considered as being a wholesale company. Defined as thus, wholesale business in morocco is the apanage of town of casablanca which concentrates in its heart approximately 50% of the entire wholesale business, a subject dealt with in the present research, that is to say, the fabric and household equipment and develops a network of flow which enable it to exercice its dominance over the entire moroccan space. This commercial function is caracterised on the one hand by an over concentration in the town centre and particularly in derb omar and the other hand by a double structure where, coexist a multitude of medium and a minority of large and very large scale establishments of wholesale, often representing the largest factory sale points for the wholesale business of fabrics and import stores for household equipment. They monopolise the market and constitute an umbeatable competition for the small scale companies which should unite in order to subsist and expand

This activity is represented by many structure which are different by their size, their function, and their localization in fès. A large region around fès is mobilized by this activity. This region is suburbanised and it is totaly dependent on fès because the city is the unique center for the arrival and distribution of the rural products. So the city keeps the monopoly of the distribution
Dugot, Philippe. "Les mutations du commerce de gros en france : les perspectives d'une place regionale. l'agglomeration de toulouse." Toulouse 2, 1993. http://www.theses.fr/1993TOU20054.
Full textLike the other developped countries, the french capitalist society was deeply altered during these last decades, a result of technical mutations and their consequences on the possibilities of economic and spatial organization of the different elements of the system. Wholesale trade, intermediary between production and market, born last century in its "modern" form, from geographical and economic particular conditions, does not seem could or knew fit these transformations. The display of this decline is a progress of competitive channels of distribution in many branchs, animated by producers and retailers, often more powerful than wholesalers. However, the wholesalers have entered into deep mutations so much in theirs structures that in theirs making of work or in theirs locations. But the terms of the problem can't and must not be brought up in too general manner : the wholesale trade is an economic sector very heterogeneous and find oneself confront to differentiated perspectives in a large measure dependent of the transformations of its economic surrounding. Still today, the problem of its survival and of its dependence stay entire as well as the problem of the distortion of components of the wholesaling by intrinsic evolution or irruption of external intervention. Within an economy more and more inserted in the world, the traditional wholesale trade, does not appear as the indispensable intermediary he was the last century. For historic, geographical and economic reasons, these facts have feld more vigorously in the agglomeration of toulouse, place of redistribution on a regional area, particulary facing at the longthening of the ramifications of national and international economic networks

Gonçalvès, Olabissi Oredola Christian. "Le négoce de grains : étude de droit du commerce international." Thesis, Université de Lorraine, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017LORR0401.
Full textMany studies were carried on international sale of goods, on transport of goods and even on maritime sales (i.e. commercial sales involving a maritime transport). However, few of them were based on the type of traffic. Yet, the kind of goods shipped necessarily impacts the analysis of the performance of the parties’ obligations, both with respect to the transport and the international sale of goods. The grain trading study highlights how this type of bulk food affects the chain of both contracts and transactions. Besides, the analysis of the various grain contracts enables on the one hand the understanding of the problems linked to the intervening third-parties (e.g. the role played by the intermediaries when the sales contract is concluded or the issue of the expertise when the goods are delivered). It gives on other hand the opportunity to assess the methods of dispute resolution, whether judicial or arbitral

Full textIn the perspective of political economy framework analysing distribution channels through economic, behavioral and organizational approches, the objective of this research is to build up a conceptual framework analyzing the place and the function of the wholesaler. In parallel with his economic functions, the wholesaler also exercises power related to his specialization and to his ability to absorb uncertainty for others channel members. The analysis of this intermediary's strategies may be wiewed through a dependency system with his backward and downward environnement. An attempt to validate empirically these main relationships is proposed

Full textFirst of all on a small scale, then further along, on a much larger scale, the kpayo trade which means smuggling of gas and other oil products from Nigeria to Bénin, depend on almost 100 000 persons living on this sale activity. This trade might be quite different if gas transported by means of ships on the sea, by the river, or by scooters or trucks on the road. This kind of informal trade gives way to different kinds of odd jobs we mention in the PHD: bringing the jerrycans to the beach, reshaping scooters and trucks in a garage. Most of all this illicit activity needs some kind of a kinship network and political pull among the police and customs officers of the Republic. Empirical research has been done in different fields such as a gas station, a seaside village, a market on the country border, a landing stage, a warehouse, it led to the comprehension of the way smugglers are supplied. I was thus able to understand the process by which gas was transported from Nigeria to the Republic of Bénin, and see all the byways the smugglers are used to take, and the risks taken all along the journey. I examined the interaction process between the racketeers and the police when they passed a checkpoint; see how the markets were busy, and last managed to see how the the different roles of subjects interact. The racketeers networks analysis, life stories, different action strategies, the way they accumulate and the study of informal economy related to law contribute in this PhD to an essay in economic- anthropology with geographic standpoints, and a sociological analysis of precarious lives and Big Shots

Full textWe look at how prices from energy-only power markets can send the right signals and give the correct incentives for investments in production capacity. Through numerical simulations of spot prices over 2003-2005 we compare the investment signal sent by observed electricity prices in France and what would be competitive prices with an optimal mix and with the installed capacity. The observed prices tend to overestimate profitability for the baseload and underestimate profitability for the peak load. However, as a large share of consumers is still paying regulated tariffs, scarcity rents are capped. We simulate future prices for France for 2010 to 2020 to understand the incentives to invest. When the entry is free, the incentives to invest given by the future prices are consistent with the optimal mix including the interconnections and nuclear build is strong. With barriers for new entrants (i. E. Finding new sites), there are no incentives for the incumbent to add more nuclear capacity unless units are bid strategically. Moreover, it can also be profitable to limit prices and entry in order to increase future revenues. When the baseload is less concentrated and instead of a dominant firm the nuclear capacity is divided into five (equal share) firms, incentives to invest reappear

Full textThe evolution of the Paris meat business activity, its markets, slaughterhouses and warehouses, is intrinsically part of the city’s industrial history. The history of Paris’ meat supply reflects the transformation of a sector of the agroalimentary industry driven by two objectives: feed a growing, increasingly urban population spreading across the developing city; provide the industry with meat-offing by products for use as raw materials in agroalimentary and chemical industries. The progressive development of the network and its disappearance from historical locations has provided the opportunity to study readily observable patterns: the geographical spreading of meat professionals and the diversification of their strategies in production sites, under an set of rules evolving in response to urban health and safety regulations, and in particular meat conservation regulations. This aspect is still crucial today

Full textIntermediaries are little studied in Management Science. The research proposes to put forward a particular type of intermediary that is the wholesaler. Faced with the digitization of all sectors, it is interesting to question the capacity of wholesalers to generate added value in the distribution channel. Based on the triadic methodology and the field of study, it turns out that digital can modify one of the inter-organizational relational processes. In the absence of a strong demand for downstream distribution channels, wholesalers are struggling to put in place a digital strategy that makes sense. On the other hand, this delay allows the industrialist to take the lead on information flows by leaving the management of physical flows to the wholesaler. This phenomenon of partial re-intermediation calls into question the relations between the actors without seeing the disappearance of the wholesaler

Full textThe first two chapters study the strategy of firms in serving foreign markets, using French data. The first chapter shows that firms had difficulties in grasping the opportunity offered the foreign markets opening resulting from the Uruguay Round agreement. It reveals that the French economy did not benefit from the potential gains of trade. The second chapter put the emphasis on the role of wholesalers in helping firms to export. A theoretical model explains the use of wholesalers to share the fixed costs of exporting. The wholesalers allow firms to reach more difficult markets and act as a catalyst for the exports of firms whose competitiveness is close to the export rentability threshold. Then the predictions of this model are confronted with the French data, confirming this two-sided role of wholesalers. The next two chapters are theoretically addressing the issue of the distribution of the grains from trade. These chapters simultaneously consider the accumulation of human or physical capital and the formation of attitudes towards trade. The third chapter focuses on human capital. The fourth one studies the role of real estate in shaping the attitudes towards trade. Real estate also allows to take into account the regional dimension of gains from trade, that have largely been disregarded until now

Full textIn the tire industry, the addition of nanosized silica fillers into rubber is a commonly used process due to the outstanding mechanical properties of the resulting composite material. However, the link between the underlying chemistry and the mechanical behavior of this material remains unsolved. The aim of this thesis is to investigate this system using molecular simulation. In order to cover wide length and time scales, inherent to this type of material, we took the route of applying a multiscale simulation strategy. Starting from coarse-grained reference trajectories obtained from higher resolution molecular dynamics trajectories, we build realistic coarse-grained dissipative dynamics models by using the bayesian optimization method. Our models quantitatively predict the characteristic behavior of entangled polymer chains. This multiscale approach, extended to the polymer-silica interaction, allows us to successfully model the thermodynamic, the structural, and the dynamic properties of a system made up of one silica nanoparticle, grafted or not, dispersed in an amorphous polymer matrix. This work opens the way towards the quantitative prediction of the viscoelastic properties of reinforced rubbers on time scales up to the microsecond. These time scales, inaccessible by mean of an atomistic description, are now reachable thanks to our coarse potentials

Full textThis thesis addresses aspects of interacting markets in electricity wholesale. Electricity is traded in forward markets and in day-ahead auctions, which implement a very specifie market design. The bids of market participants take the fonn of supply and demand functions. Chapter 2 builds upon a finding of Zachmann and von Hirschhausen (2008) who report an asymmetric response of electricity wholesale prices for Gennany to changes in the price of EV Emission Allowances (EVA). ln contrast to the fonner contribution, it is shown that the asymmetry disappeared in response to a report on investigations by the competition authority. Chapter 3 addresses the interaction offorward markets and day-ahead auctions in a repeated oligopoly game. The effect offorward trading on the sustainability of collusion is studied for the case that spot market strategies take the fonn of supply functions. It is shown that the existence of forward markets enlarges the range of discount factors for which collusion can be sustained. Chapter 4 examines if an asymmetric reaction to EVA prices can also be found in the supply functions from the day-ahead market. To this end, tools from the field of functionaJ data analysis are adopted and applied to observed bids from the day-ahead auction. Chapter 5 develops a test for autocorrelation in functional panel data. Asymptotic nonnality of the statistic is proved, and Monte-Carlo simulation sho\l good power of the test in sample sizes which frequently prevail in applied research

Full textThe social history of cattle trade and its actors in Brionnais-Charolais, from the late 19th century up to nowadays merges into the history of the setting up of the cattle industry which has built itself around three fields : breeding, feeding and trade. My thesis reveals the different stages which have marked it up : from the development of cattle feeding in the second half of the 19th century, then the gradual access to wealth by farmers-breeders during the 20th century, to a questioning of old practices since the 1960s, replaced by brood cows breeding. I have carried out my thesis from very fragmentary sources into an assembly of facts (which had required great inventiveness) and shown how much contribution it could bring to the knowledge of rural, social and economical history. I propose a new perspective on the successive adaptations to a profoundly changing agricultural society. I have analyzed in a pioneering way the changes in the family as well as the farm or the trade fields. Thanks to a prosopographical approach, from a corpus of feeders and cattle dealers, this study brings the actors of specialization to light. In the same way, I have revealed the methods and the networks in which cattle and money circulate and which have contributed to opening up the studied area. Until the mid-20th century, the rural Brionnais society had rested on a patiently acquired equilibrium, soon shaken by a modernized agriculture and the Common Agricultural Policy. In the second half of the 20th century, the industry got itself organized gradually. The professionalization of cattle trade goes through the end of cattle dealers and the setting up of cooperatives. In the early 21st century, one has to wonder about the evolution of cattle traders and of breeding itself in the birthplace of Charolais cattle

Full textThe first part of this work concerns the monitoring of treated olive mill waste water (OMWW) transformations during biological and chemical processes : different physico-chemical parameters (pH, C/N ratio, chemical oxygen demand (COD), level of total phenols and lipids) and spectroscopic analysis (UV-Visible, IRTF, 13C-NMR). The results of the biological treatment permitted us to determine the optimal conditions of OMWW treatment. After 45 days, the treatment decreased the COD, particularly for treatments without lime with a drop of 21. 8% while the COD drop in treatments with lime only reached 4. 8%. Neutralising the pH by the addition of lime had a positive effect on the degradation of total phenols, lowering their levels by 75. 9%. The results of FTIR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy showed that during treatment with lime, the aliphatic groups decreased and the aromatic structures increased, indicating polymerisation of the organic matter. The lipid content showed an appreciable change in the relation to the applied treatment both for total lipids and for the lipidic fractions (neutral lipids, monoglycerides and phospholipids). Total lipid increased for treatment without lime and decreased for treatment with lime, corresponding to the variation in the level of phospholipids. 13C-NMR confirmed these variations and showed the likeness between the treatment of the OMWW with lime and the treatment with solvent (chloroform/methanol). The main spectral differences were observed in the C O-Alkyl region (50 -110 ppm) and in the C-carboxylic region (160-200 ppm). The results of the chemical treatment using TiO2 under UV showed depollution of the OMWW. Over 24 hours, the treatment degraded 22. 2% of the pollutant COD, 57% of the coloured molecules (UV to 330 nm) and 94. 3% of the total phenols. The UV-Visible and FTIR spectroscopy showed extensive attack of the aromatic structures and revealed the occurrence of three successive phases during the degradation process, thought to correspond to three different categories of molecules in the OMWW. The second part of this work concerns the study of the toxicity and the genotoxicity of OMWW after biological treatment, on Vicia faba plants, by micronucleus and agronomic tests. The results of the micronucleus test showed that raw OMWW was genotoxic at a 10% OMWW concentration. This genotoxicity was associated to two phenolic compounds: gallic acid and oleuropein. After biological treatment, the genotoxicity disappeared at a 20% OMWW concentration. This can be explained by the extensive degradation of phenols during the treatment (75. 9%). The agronomic test showed the absence of toxicity of treated OMWW on Vicia faba plants. Indeed, at doses of 5 t/ha and 10 t/ha outputs were 36. 3% and 29. 9% greater than the negative control respectively. OMWW treated by a biological process do not present any risk of toxicity or genotoxicity on Vicia faba plants, the treated effluent can be used, without risk, as organic amendment on Moroccan soils

Full textWhilst experts have predicted the downfall of wholesaler, the latter has survived and e to environmental pressures. This thesis, consisting of three in-depth case studies, investigates into the resources mobilization underpinning wholesalers' survival. The meticulous empirical setting sheds light on the transformations impacting the wholesaling field and on local actors' specific responses. This thesis contributes to illuminate the meaning and role of resources vis-à-vis interactions with institutions. Moreover, it promotes the concept of Institutional Biography as a lens to better understand action origins. The model derived from my analyses describes and explains fruit and vegetables wholesalers’ efforts to become a guarantor for quality, despite prejudices about their inertia and predictions of their disappearance
Gaston-Breton, Tristan. "Histoire d'une grande entreprise familiale : Lesieur (1908-1993)." Paris 4, 1996. http://www.theses.fr/1996PA040055.
Full textFounded in 1908, the company Lesieur became one of the most important oil manufacturers in France in the middle of the 1920's by making use of marks's politics. During the Second World War, because of German occupation in France, she went in Africa where she built three plants in Alger, Dakar and Casablanca. Those establishments allowed the company to stand out in the beginning of the 1950's as the first oil manufacturer in France then in Europe. The 1960's are characterized by a large diversification of the company's activities, in particular in animals’ food, washing powder and wrapping. But at the end of the 1960's, this diversification proved to be not a really one while the company was confronted to a disfavorable evolution of raw materials market. Weakened, the company had to open her authorized capital to The BNP bank in 1972. Then, a second diversification was undertaken seeking to haul up Lesieur among the “giant” of French food industry. This strategy, which ended up at an agreement with the sugar firm Saint-Louis-Bouchon, failed in 1988 when the Italian firm Ferruzi bought Lesieur

These potters had high quality clay at their disposal within the neighbouring parish of Quièvrecourt where Weald clay was visible in the Bray area. They used the wood from Eawy forest where they had feudal rights. They were in stiff competition with the glassblowers from Lihut and Maucomble. As the Hayons crossroads was nearby, they could easily sell their wares. From the 16th to the 19th century, Martincamp potters made closed shapes with an ashen glaze or slip, and decoration made with a horn or plain or sparse decoration. They mass-produced goods quickly which were sent to Rouen, Paris or to Picardie, but these goods were also shipped to England and America via Dieppe

Full textThe sparse knowledge of the late antiquity in Auvergne is partly due to the absence of chronological typology for this period. The recent uncovering of significant ceramic assemblages and the reassessment of pastdata make it possible today to fill this research gap. This thesis attempts to bring new light to the Arverne territory, its economy and culture, in the late antiquity and the early middle ages (from the late 3rd century to the mid-8th century), through the study of its pottery. The evolution observed in the repertory shows that the antique facies remained until the 6th century, as well as the culinary practices and table manners. Until the 5th century, forms and types of ceramics are very varied, becoming more standardized in the next century, and finally starting in the 7th century, closed culinary vessels are predominant. The study of funerary assemblages from the 4th and 5th centuries, demonstrates how the Arverne territory participated in the general evolution of funerary practices in Gaul. However the Auvergne region stands out by the considerable number of ceramic vases found in tombs and the clear preference for solid food vessels in funerary repasts. The presence of imported goods is evidence that the Arverne territory was part of the commercial routes by the end of Antiquity. However the small amounts of importations imply a parsimonious procurement, which would mean that the Auvergne region was actually located on the outer limits of the distribution areas of most industrial productions. The correlations established with 4th and 5th century pottery from other areas of Central Gaul could be proof of a common tradition of production, and how such territories could have possibly belonged to a same cultural and economic entity. The South of the Arverne territory seemed however more influenced by southern Gaul as shown by the study of 6th and 7th century pottery from the lozerian site of La Malène

This brand focuses in sale design products, mainly home furniture, developed internally. The idea to move forward with the brand came from the entrepreneurs’ combination of the know-how, and from the research of existing customer database in DIGITALAB, some parts aren´t localized in Portugal. To overcome the geographical barrier the implementation of e-commerce was fundamental, because that is the simplest and the most efficient solution for this type of project. The brand aims to deliver differentiated products with a high quality, to provide a service driven by excellence, through checking, advice and concern to engage the customer's request.
