My thesis is a call for the need of an intersectional awareness in the field of the commons, or the common or commoning. My main effort concentrates to argue for the potentialities of an intersection between the commons and (feminist) decolonial project. Notions such as coloniality of power, the principle of intersectionality and the ethos of decoloniality help me to build my argument step by step. The thesis does

In response, we have seen an attempt to develop collectively organized, oppositional spaces within urban places. The tensions that arise when considering the production of commons in the development of the neoliberal city are the central focus of this paper. As I will observe, these spaces are subjected to commodification as they become increasingly de-politicized through neoliberal ideologies. In order to theorize about these contradictory elements, I observe a makerspace in Richmond, Virginia called

Abstract:
This thesis charts the work of a group of people in their efforts to set up a social centre in Glasgow. A social centre is like our once prolific community centre but with an explicit political character and agenda. They are social and cultural hubs where people can take part in a variety of communal events (e.g. dancing, cooking, eating, game play or simply hanging around). Oosterhout, Gretchen. "An Evolutionary Simulation of the Tragedy of the Commons." PDXScholar, 1996. https://pdxscholar.library.pdx.edu/open_access_etds/1251.

Abstract:
In his seminal essay, "The Tragedy of the Commons" (1968), Garrett Hardin argued that unless human population growth is controlled, the tragedy of common resource destruction is inevitable. This research consists of the development of an evolutionary computer model to simulate the Tragedy of the Commons, and social and economic solutions that have been proposed. In the simulations, multiattribute decision models are used to represent the tradeoffs a variety of types of individuals make among economic and social values in an uncertain environment. Individuals in each iteration of the simulation

Abstract:
This dissertation analyzes the tension between the self and the commons in the transitional phase from Classical to Late Antiquity. This period embodies the intersection of three worldviews converging in the Roman Empire. Right where political Laconophilia, metaphysical Platonism, and Judeo-Christian theology meet, a wave of communitarian projects along the Mare Nostrum redefine what it means to be human. The main product of this theopolitical climate is a renewed understanding of the commons built upon an innovative sense of individuality that does not necessarily result in political solipsis
