Established by the Mormon fundamentalist leader Rulon Allred and his group in 1961, the town served as a haven for those practicing polygamy as well as an opportunity for group members to live a Mormon form of communalism known as the United Order. The search for an appropriate hermeneutic for relevant biblical interpretations in African contexts remains one of the major challenges facing African biblical scholars. Although considerable progress has been achieved since the second half of the last century, in the wake of such approaches as postcolonial criticism in particular, there is ample room for more theoretical contributions. This thesis formulates communalism as a hermeneutical framework to interpret the Imprecatory Psalms from a Kamwe perspective, thereby contributing towards the burgeoning African-centered biblical hermeneutics.

We examine whether the precepts of what have been termed 'close', 'intimate', or, more specifically, 'communal' relationships in Social Psychology may be communicated via Web site content and whether this positively impacts Site-Loyalty. We introduce a variable called Site-Communality defined as the extent to which Web site content signals that a company's relationship with its customers goes beyond the formal, 'tit for tat' business dealings that are typically expected from purely commercial exchanges, and instead, more closely abide by the norms and behaviours evocative of friendships
