Full textPhD researches the phenomenon of communication's appropriation in postsoviet Russia. It focuses on the objective to understand the role of non-market mechanisms in media appropriation and their correspondence with the politico-economic system of Russian society. This research is divided on four parts. The first one focuses on the theoric approach to the appropriation and relies this approach to the problematic of market and non-market exchanges and to the development question. The second part describes communication traditions and economic forms of communications in soviet and presoviet Russia. The third part analyse the communicational reasons of USSR collapse and describes the State role, the pattern of communication industry and the user's role in communication development of postsoviet Russia. The latest part replaces the third part's elements in new context : non-formal economy, non-market economy and development

Full textOur previous research, performed across forty industrial companies in Sverdlovskaya oblast (Russian Federation), reveals and illustrates the increasing significance of logistics to these organizations. Transportation companies are among the first to have an interest in this development. Logistics management has developed time and space notions and changed the transport operation requirements of cargo owners. In this context, there is an increasing need to integrate into the global and regional supply chains. At the same time, the work of Russian transport operators today is to a large extent conditioned by a great number of external environmental factors which have recently been characterised by several substantial shifts. Therefore, this PhD has a dual pupose. Firstly, it provides a detailed study of the competitive environment within which the regional transport companies are functioning today and distinguishes the key-factors of their development in order to assist them through this period of change. Secondly, there is an analysis of how the transport companies of Sverdlovskaya oblast can efficiently prepare themselves for the development of logistics in their clients' companies. In order to achieve the main objectives of this study, the foresight approach and, more particularly, the scenario method are applied. Founded on the results of cross-impact and morphological analysis, as well as an analysis of the key players in the regional transport sector, we have constructed a tendencial scenario. This scenario describes the most probable development of the market structure of the road and rail freight transport sector of Sverdlovskaya oblast to 2020. This approach has furthermore allowed us to elaborate some recommendations to guide the regional transport operators with their strategic development

Full textRecognising the relevance of the concept of sustainable development as a political reference, the author can hardly conceive it as a scientific concept. He prefers the concept of public good, of which as precise a definition as possible is given. He starts by examining two cases : Russia and Brittany. In Russia, can the ecologist movement, together with the desire for change which became apparent from the mid-80s, contribute in overcoming the ecological and sanitary consequences of the soviet industrial development, combining productivism and totalitarianism ? In Brittany, a productivist agricultural system is now being criticised because of its pollutant effects, whereas there are recognised alternative methods : organic farming, sustainable development plans, etc. Their supporters show that it is possible to produce otherwise, combining economic viability, ecological security and social acceptability. But does this clarify the real issues of these alternatives ? Analysing the practices demands the intervention of a theoretical model allowing for an identification of rationalities which formalise these practices. This model, which allows the question of environment and economic rationality to be dealt in a new way, is studied in the second part. A third part specifies how the study of Russian and Breton cases can enlighten fundamental problems. Don't the Russian post-soviet ecological crisis and the crisis of the Breton agricultural system, illustrate the limits of reference to economic rationality ? Doesn't contemporary reference to sustainable development constitute a reminder of a political principle of responsibility, as well as of an ethical principle of legitimacy ? How does the theoretical model used allow for a precise definition to be given of the concept of public good ? Finally, a certain similarity is shown between the crises concerning the professions of social workers and farming advisers. A redefinition of the profession of adviser is proposed

Full textThe first part is about soviet theories of closed economy and emigration. A closed economy wasn't an optimal idea thus 1990's soviet economic policy was radically changed. The main western theories of labour migration are analysed in second part. Theses theories are compared with russia's experience during the transition to a market economy. An open economy in Russia has not lead to an improvement in leaving standards : many push ; factors of emigration continue to act. In the third part the russian experience of emigration is compared to others experiences ( Italy and Republic of Korea ). Some former russian theories of colonisation are analysed and some alternatives to current migration policy are proposed

Full textThis thesis is about natural gas in Russia. Energy studies are common amongst studies about Russia. However, they often focus on the relationships between Russia and European countries. This study tries to shift from this approach to chiefly analyze the domestic market and Russian territory and to emphasize the contrasts at the scale of Russian Federation. The Siberian and Far Eastern territories are considered as peripheries. From an energy point of view, they are not linked with Gazprom transportation and distribution network. However, the “gasification program of the regions of Russian Federation”, presented as a social program, has been implemented in the eastern territories. In this thesis, its elaboration and its implementation are studied. Preference is given to regional scale, the program being jointly realized by regional administrations and Gazprom at the instigation of the federal government. The analysis of four Siberian and Far Eastern regions show that the results of the program and its social character need to be qualified. The gas networks development in Eastern Russia is modest and conditioned by perspectives of export. Furthermore, Gazprom controls the process and its aims may differ from the other protagonists’ aims, which generates some tensions. Center/peripheries logics dynamics are at work and can be seen in the relations between actors and in spatial differentiation. Territories are characterized by diverse degrees of integration in the energy space, organized by the natural gas sector

Full textThe end of the soviet system led to a reorganization of kolkhozes and sovkhozes. Despite these transformations, the agricultural operators have developed strategies to preserve non-market goods production. The decision to keep the former social role question the experts. Indeed, these behaviors create a priori less efficient economic performances. However, they help to maintain large corporate farms, which should not be compatible with the market. This way, Russian agriculture became heterogeneous, while the reforms should have mainly helped only the emergence of small farms. Our main thesis is that a sectoral regulationist approach, which considers that the actor have a specific rationality due to the fact that he is also a member of a community, allows to analyze the choice to product some non market goods. We have used the concept of “productive configuration” saw as a representation of the framework which organizes the coherence of some institutional elements (as market rules, territorial issues. . . ). Our empirical work in the oblast of Orel allowed us to represent the regulation of the agricultural sector as four “productive configurations”. We explained the plurality of the configurations as the result of the diversity of agreements consented by actors. These agreements allow each actor to maximize his interests according to his power and to reproduce the community to which he belongs to. To defend their individual and collective interests the actors create some legal structures which prevent the standard capitalism development in the Russian agriculture. These legal structures are based on the construction of the land as a collective patrimony
