Aux cours des dernières années, la didactique de l'oral s'est beaucoup développée (Plessis-Bélair, Lafontaine et Bergeron, 2007). D'importantes avancées ont été réalisées, entre autres en Suisse par les recherches de Dolz et Schneuwly (1998) et au Québec par l'élaboration d'un modèle didactique de la production orale par Lafontaine (2001), ce qui a permis de démontrer que l'oral s'apprend et s'enseigne.
