Abstract:
Consensus-oriented public relations, which is considered within the social theoretical approach, is a model developed by Roland Burkart. The basic point on which the model is based is the concept of "consensus" mentioned by Habermas in his communicative action theory. Achieving consensus in communicative action depends on the efforts of the parties to understand each other. However, it is important to ensure equal conditions in the communication process and to create a democratic discussion environment. Thus, it may be possible to reach an consensus between institutions and target audiences in

It is emphasized that the contemporary communication processes are characterized by their own qualitatively different integrative potential in mutual orientation and coordination of the actions by the social actors who interact as participants of the communication processes. That is why sociologists usually study various types of the communicative processes, trying to research the contradict

Abstract Considering the criticisms of Habermas’ communicative action theory, this essay problematized and reflected on another possible criticism: scholars of the theory, despite presenting a common understanding - enlightenment and emancipation of man - do not reach a consensus on what this theory represents compared to other theories and rationality types. The guiding question of the essay is: does the transition proposed by Habermas from other rationality types to the communicative concern an interparadigmatic theory or a paradigmatic leap? In settings like the design ‘review’, students endeavor to persuade an audience of the merits of their proposed design. It is well-known that introducing a delay leads in general to a reduction of the performance or to instability due to the fact that timedelay systems are infinite dimensional. Therefore, investigating the effect of time-delays in the consensus problem is an important issue. Abstract:
The article aims to analyze a complicated process of the society’s main components – elite, mass communication, and masses – in their interaction and interdependence from the historical perspective. Due to industrialization and modernization of the life quality, the social life changes radically, and the essence of every component of the society changes as well. The elite loses its dynastic character. The media stop to play the role of a mediator taking on the obligations of a collective agitator and propagandist, and the mass stops to be cloth for wiping shoes. It starts to form a mass audien

Abstract:
Climate change does not respect national boundaries or distinguish between big and small polluters. It is one of the truly global problems humanity faces today. In spite of this, there is a reluctance to believe in the existence of climate change even though the scientific consensus is that human influence bears much of the responsibility. In less than 200 years, human activity has increased the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases by some 50 percent relative to pre-industrial levels, leading to an increase in global temperatures. 1 Yet contrarian perspectives abound, given prominence

Abstract:
Two major global challenges of recent decades are climate change and populism. While there is a strong scientific consensus on anthropogenic climate change, social science research highlights how climate change and policy reforms have provoked significant backlash within populist discourse. Despite the clear intersection of these phenomena and the threats they pose to modern democracy, limited literature explores this relationship. This article examines the mechanisms by which right-wing populist (RWP) parties promote climate skepticism or hostility to climate policies. Focusing on the Law and

At the same time, hybrid powertrains, once treated as transitional technology so as to be ignored, have achieved outstanding market performance and are increasingly gaining attention. A diversified powertrain technology landscape is gradually forming over the previous internal combustion dominant or the expected battery electric dominant scenarios. Abstract:
There is a broad consensus that agri-food systems need to be transformed to address the mounting global challenges including food and nutrition security, environmental degradation, and socioeconomic inequities. However, agreement is lacking on what is needed to drive this transformation. This report builds on a sustainability analysis of different proposed pathways and approaches to address transformative needs. It also serves as a study of the drivers and agents that support the implementation of these proposed pathways in different cases around the globe. We recommend the adoption of a multi
