Previous studies of metaphor in conversation adopted different approaches to the concept of register, resulting in a rich but complex picture (Cameron, 2003, 2007, 2008; Deignan, Littlemore & Semino, 2013; Kaal, 2012). This research attempts to reduce such complexity by using an approach to register based on closely defining communicative settings and the participants’ roles (Giménez-Moreno, 2006). The aim of this paper is to show how much students use Student Web services to communicate with their teachers and the student registry, that is if they are familiar with the new digital technologies in the education process. The Strategy for the Development of Information Society and The Strategy for Education in Serbia till 2020 generally support the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in education and the promotion of the Academic Network of Serbia in four largest cities, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis and Kragujevac. The results of this research were based on the case study of

Vector architecures proride excellent computational throughput, while successfully tolerating memory latency by pipelining memory accesses. In this paper, we propose a generalization of vector architectures to message-passing multicomputers, which combines the efficiency of vector computation with the scalablity of distributed-memory systems. In our proposed architecture, each node is a conventional vector processor (with chaining capability and pipelined functional units) augmented by native instructions to send and receive messages through vector registers. In this scheme, inter-node communi

Abstract:
According to the survey we conducted prior to this webinar series dedicated to the APAC community, metadata quality was one of the most voted topics to be covered in the webinars, which is understandable - out of FAIRsFAIR’s 15 assessment metrics for the FAIRness of research objects, 12 are about metadata. Rich and persistent metadata that incorporate identifiers and encode generic and domain-specific information, accessibility and licensing, and links between objects using standardized vocabulary and communication protocols is the cornerstone of a versatile, equitable, and trustworthy scholar

The Working Group on “Transparency and the publicising of the results of health research”, was appointed by the French Ministry in charge of Research, in conjunction with the French Ministry in charge of Health. It seeks to address the problem of publication bias, which is the tendency to prioritise the publication of positive results. However, if they are based on an incomplete, skewed understanding of research results, this bias may result in erroneous health policy decisions.
