Accidents at road-rail crossings are a significant road safety problem and have a high cost in terms of consequences. According to Polish law, it is the responsibility of the road manager to manage and monitor safety properly. There is a perceived lack of unambiguous and consistent procedures or tools that allow for unambiguous risk assessment. This article aggregates the different approaches and requirements for a railway road crossing safety assessment. As a result, an inspection of four level crossings of the Warsaw Commuter Railway was carried out, indicating negligence on the part of the

Abstract. Bandung, the capital of West Java, is 2021 Indonesia's most crowded city. Congestion happens even then since the number of cars in Bandung has grown by an average of 11% annually. To overcome the congestion, the Ministry of Transportation Republic Indonesia programme created the "Teman Bus" programme in December 2021. Therefore, this study explores the impact of factors influencing passenger loyalty towards public bus services. A cross-sectional survey of bus users in Bandung was conducted in June 2022, with 211 respondents. The data were analysed using structural equation modelling.

Although automated vehicles (AVs) are rapidly being developed, the public sector continues to learn what this technology could mean for transportation policy. As reducing auto-based commute distances is one common planning objective, understanding the conditions under which individuals may adopt AVs to commute further is important. To that end, this study uses data from a 2016 survey of residents in Southern Ontario, Canada, to estimate the characteristics and motivations of individuals indicating the most interest in commuting further using AVs. Abstract The daily traffic congestion faced by residents who live in the Greater Jakarta area has popularized the Jabodetabek Electric Train (KRL) as a mode of transportation for commuters to work and school. However, satisfactory service has not matched the increasing number of KRL users. Therefore, this study aims to develop a sustainability policy for urban rail services in Indonesia as an alternative strategy to overcome KRL service problems, such as overcapacity and inconvenience. The Multipol method is used to develop KRL service sustainability policies. Multipol is a multi-criteria deci

Public transport in general and passenger trains in particular are often advertised as solutions to mobility challenges due to their relatively low carbon footprint, high commuter load, high public safety, and contribution to reduced road congestion. But, how do these advantages apply to contexts characterized by inequality, poverty, and exclusion, and where train infrastructure is underdeveloped and poorly maintained? In this study, we examine the imaginaries and their associated transport predispositions of Metrorail users in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Based on 31 interviews

These worries have energized economic research on a broad range of questions relating to airline safety. Perhaps retirees, with eyesight failing and reactions slowing, might be safer in such severely throttled cars.
