The current article focuses upon the results of the conjunctions analysis and the ways of their forming in the Orochon language. The data obtained are compared with the data on the conjunctions’ morphological forms in the Evenki language obtained in the previous studies. This study identified 3 kinds of coordinative conjunctions (connective conjunction, disjunctive conjunction, adversative conjunction) and 4 kinds of subordinating ones (gradational conjunction, conditional conjunction, causal conjunction, temporal conjunction). What functioned as the primary comparative construction in seventeenth-century Latvian was a construction with the conjunction nekā ‘than’ (literally: ‘not like’), which typologically represents the so-called conjoined comparative in Stassen’s terminology (Stassen 1985). This is consistent with the state of affairs evidenced in sixteenth-century Lithuanian, where, as primary comparative constructions of inequality (COI), we find constructions with conjunctions comprising negation: neg(i), nei(gi), neng, nekaip, net, nent ‘than’ (Ostrowski 2018).

Abstract:
Cryogen spray is an effective cooling technique used for laser treatment of Port Wine Stain. The cooling process involves complex droplet evaporation and strong convective heat and mass transfer, therefore a deep understanding of spray characteristics is essential in order to optimize the nozzle design and improve the cooling efficiency of the spray. This paper improves a theoretical model to describe the equilibrium evaporation process of a single cryogen droplet in cryogen spray. The results of comparative analysis of gas phase models for single droplet heating and evaporation are presented.

Abstract:
The problem of segmentation of three-dimensional fMRI images based on the Bayesian approach is considered, where Markov Random Field is used as the prior distribution, and von Mises-Fisher distribution is used as the observation model. The main problem when applying this approach in practice is an estimation of the model parameters. In this paper, we review algorithms HMRF-MCEM, HMRF-EM and GrabCut, which implement this statistical model and estimate parameters without the usage of the labeled training data. The methods HMRF-EM and GrabCut were introduced in conjunction with other statistical

An evaluation of soil phosphorus storage capacity (SPSC) at proposed wetland restoration locations in the western Lake Erie Basin. Abstract:
Historical loss of wetlands coupled with excess phosphorus (P) loading at watershed scales have degraded water quality in portions of the western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB). In response, efforts are underway to restore wetlands and decrease P loading to surface waters. Because wetlands have a finite capacity to retain P, researchers have developed techniques to determine whether wetlands function as P sources or sinks. The following technical report evaluates the soil P storage capacity (SPSC) at locations under consideration for wetland restoration in collaboration with the Great Lakes Restoratio

Abstract:
The Mobile Runway Edge Sheave (MRES) is used in conjunction with the Mobile Aircraft Arresting System (MAAS) for setback aircraft arresting system (AAS) installations in expedient or temporary situations. There are existing criteria and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for MRES installations on portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement and soil, but these criteria have not been developed for asphalt concrete (AC) pavements. The US Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) tasked the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) to develop anchor criteria for the MRES in AC pave
