Abstract:
Background To ensure quality care, clinicians need skills, knowledge, and attitudes related to technology that can be measured. Objective This paper sought out competencies for mobile technologies and/or an approach to define them. Methods A scoping review was conducted to answer the following research question, “What skills are needed for clinicians and trainees to provide quality care via mHealth, have they been published, and how can they be made measurable and reproducible to teach and assess them?” The review was conducted in accordance with the 6-stage scoping review process starting with a keyword search in PubMed/Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, APA PsycNET, Cochrane, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Web of Science, and Scopus. The literature search focused on keywords in 4 concept areas: (1) competencies, (2) mobile technologies, (3) telemedicine mode, and (4) health. Moreover, 2 authors independently, in parallel, screened the search results for potentially relevant studies based on titles and abstracts. The authors reviewed the full-text articles for final inclusion based on inclusion/exclusion criteria. Inclusion criteria were keywords used from concept area 1 (competencies) and 2 (mobile technologies) and either 3 (telemedicine mode) or 4 (health). Exclusion criteria included, but were not limited to, keywords used from a concept area in isolation, discussion of skills abstractly, outline or listing of what clinicians need without detail, and listing immeasurable behaviors. Results From a total of 1232 results, the authors found 78 papers eligible for a full-text review and found 14 papers directly relevant to the 4 key concepts. Although few studies specifically discussed skills, the majority were clinical studies, and the literature included no lists of measurable behaviors or competency sets for mobile technology. Therefore, a framework for mobile technology competencies was built according to the review, expert consensus, and recommendations of the Institute of Medicine’s Health Professions Education Summit and Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education framework. This framework borrows from existing competency framework domains in telepsychiatry and social media (patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, systems-based practice, professionalism, and interpersonal skills and communication) and added domains of mHealth clinical decision support, device/technology assessment/selection, and information flow management across an electronic health record platform. mHealth Asynchronous components require additional traditional learning, teaching, supervisory and evaluation practices. Interactive curricula with case-, problem-, and system-based teaching may help faculty focus on decision making and shape skills and attitudes to complement clinical exposure. Conclusions Research is needed on how to customize implementation and evaluation of mHealth competencies and to ensure skill development is linked to the quality of care. This will require the management of organizational change with technology and the creation of a positive electronic culture in a complex policy and regulatory environment.

Abstract:
At the present stage of science development, the problem of essence and practical implementation of the competence-based approach into education is widely discussed. The analysis of the contents and results of scientific research has shown that the issues concerning the competence-based approach to the pedagogical correction of sound culture of preschool children’s speech have been studied insufficiently. The purpose of the paper is to study the essence of the competence-based approach in the system of education as well as to determine the extent of the knowledge devoted to the use of the outlined phenomenon in the correction of sound culture of children's speech. The analysis of psychological and pedagogical research of the problem related to the competence-based approach in education, speech development, correction of sound culture of children's speech has been made. The analysis of psychological and pedagogical researches of the problem regarding person’s competences allowed allocating, in our opinion, the most complete definition of the specified concept which was offered by the Academician A. Bogush. “Competence” is a complex characteristic of a person which includes the results of preliminary psychological development: knowledge, skills, creativity (the ability to solve problems creatively: to make up creative stories, drawings and designs according to the plan), leadership role, independence, self-esteem and self-control [Bogush]. In order to pursue the competence-based approach in correcting sound culture of preschool children’s speech it seems to be important to consider that in the structure of the personality, these functions of competence can be actualised: motivational-incentive, gnostical, activity-centred, emotional-volitional, value-oriented and reflexive, communicative. Theoretical research aimed at substantiating the essence of the competence-based approach to person’s activity allows us to admit the necessity to elaborate as well as to verify the experimental methods facilitating the pedagogical correction of the sound culture of preschool children’s speech on the basis of the designated approach. Abstract:
ObjectiveTo review and assess effectiveness of sport and dance participation on subjective well-being outcomes among healthy young people aged 15–24 years.DesignSystematic review.MethodsWe searched for studies published in any language between January 2006 and September 2016 on PsychINFO, Ovid MEDLINE, Eric, Web of Science (Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Social Science and Science Citation Index), Scopus, PILOTS, CINAHL, SPORTDiscus and International Index to Performing Arts. Additionally, we searched for unpublished (grey) literature via an online call for evidence, expert contribution, searches of key organisation websites and the British Library EThOS database, and a keyword Google search. Published studies of sport or dance interventions for healthy young people aged 15–24 years where subjective well-being was measured were included. Studies were excluded if participants were paid professionals or elite athletes, or if the intervention was clinical sport/dance therapy. Two researchers extracted data and assessed strength and quality of evidence using criteria in the What Works Centre for Wellbeing methods guide and GRADE, and using standardised reporting forms. Due to clinical heterogeneity between studies, meta-analysis was not appropriate. Grey literature in the form of final evaluation reports on empirical data relating to sport or dance interventions were included.ResultsEleven out of 6587 articles were included (7 randomised controlled trials and 1 cohort study, and 3 unpublished grey evaluation reports). Published literature suggests meditative physical activity (yoga and Baduanjin Qigong) and group-based or peer-supported sport and dance has some potential to improve subjective well-being. Grey literature suggests sport and dance improve subjective well-being but identify negative feelings of competency and capability. The amount and quality of published evidence on sport and dance interventions to enhance subjective well-being is low.ConclusionsMeditative activities, group and peer-supported sport and dance may promote subjective well-being enhancement in youth. Evidence is limited. Better designed studies are needed.Trial registration numberCRD42016048745; Results.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Cultural competency is an important skill that prepares physicians to care for patients from diverse backgrounds. Objective We reviewed Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) program requirements and relevant documents from the ACGME website to evaluate competency requirements across specialties. Methods The program requirements for each specialty and its subspecialties were reviewed from December 2011 through February 2012. The review focused on the 3 competency domains relevant to culturally competent care: professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills, and patient care. Specialty and subspecialty requirements were assigned a score between 0 and 3 (from least specific to most specific). Given the lack of a standardized cultural competence rating system, the scoring was based on explicit mention of specific keywords. Results A majority of program requirements fell into the low- or no-specificity score (1 or 0). This included 21 core specialties (leading to primary board certification) program requirements (78%) and 101 subspecialty program requirements (79%). For all specialties, cultural competency elements did not gravitate toward any particular competency domain. Four of 5 primary care program requirements (pediatrics, obstetrics-gynecology, family medicine, and psychiatry) acquired the high-specificity score of 3, in comparison to only 1 of 22 specialty care program requirements (physical medicine and rehabilitation). Conclusions The degree of specificity, as judged by use of keywords in 3 competency domains, in ACGME requirements regarding cultural competency is highly variable across specialties and subspecialties. Greater specificity in requirements is expected to benefit the acquisition of cultural competency in residents, but this has not been empirically tested.

Abstract:
Background South Korea has the lowest fertility rate in the world despite considerable governmental efforts to boost it. Increasing the fertility rate and achieving the desired outcomes of any implemented policies requires reliable data on the ongoing trends in fertility and preparations for the future based on these trends. Objective The aims of this study were to (1) develop a determinants-of-fertility ontology with terminology for collecting and analyzing social media data; (2) determine the description logics, content coverage, and structural and representational layers of the ontology; and (3) use the ontology to detect future signals of fertility issues. Methods An ontology was developed using the Ontology Development 101 methodology. The domain and scope of the ontology were defined by compiling a list of competency questions. The terms were collected from Korean government reports, Korea’s Basic Plan for Low Fertility and Aging Society, a national survey about marriage and childbirth, and social media postings on fertility issues. The classes and their hierarchy were defined using a top-down approach based on an ecological model. The internal structure of classes was defined using the entity-attribute-value model. The description logics of the ontology were evaluated using Protégé (version 5.5.0), and the content coverage was evaluated by comparing concepts extracted from social media posts with the list of ontology classes. The structural and representational layers of the ontology were evaluated by experts. Social media data were collected from 183 online channels between January 1, 2011, and June 30, 2015. To detect future signals of fertility issues, 2 classes of the ontology, the socioeconomic and cultural environment, and public policy, were identified as keywords. A keyword issue map was constructed, and the defined keywords were mapped to identify future signals. R software (version 3.5.2) was used to mine for future signals. Results A determinants-of-fertility ontology comprised 236 classes and terminology comprised 1464 synonyms of the 236 classes. Concept classes in the ontology were found to be coherently and consistently defined. The ontology included more than 90% of the concepts that appeared in social media posts on fertility policies. Average scores for all of the criteria for structural and representations layers exceeded 4 on a 5-point scale. Violence and abuse (socioeconomic and cultural factor) and flexible working arrangement (fertility policy) were weak signals, suggesting that they could increase rapidly in the future. Conclusions The determinants-of-fertility ontology developed in this study can be used as a framework for collecting and analyzing social media data on fertility issues and detecting future signals of fertility issues. The future signals identified in this study will be useful for policy makers who are developing policy responses to low fertility.

Abstract:
A relevant field of research in teacher’s professional competence assessment is taking the factor of motivation into account, as this enables teachers to differentiate between, i. e. to be aware of the significance of the individual professional competences and their development through their assessment. This research supports the understanding of how important motivation is in the process of the (continual) development of a teacher’s professional competence, taking his/her perception of the importance of competences in the educational process into account. The emphasis of the current research lays on the perception of the assessment by the selected number of primary and secondary school teachers. The following is the range of teacher's motivation perception: 1) motivating, 2) discouraging, 3) unnecessary, and 4) unfair in the process of life-long development of their professional competences. The research aim is to find out the differences in the individual motivational degrees in mutual assessment (motivating, discouraging, unnecessary, unfair, and other) relating to professional competences and find out the differences between the perception of the importance of the respective professional competences in the motivational category. Seven hundred thirty respondents - primary and secondary school teachers from Slovakia – participated in the research. The results showed the difference between the perception of the importance of professional competences among teachers who consider assessment to be motivating, discouraging, unnecessary, or unfair concept. Motivation towards assessment supports student-oriented competences, educational process and self-development of the teacher. Abstract:
This study's objectives are as follows: First, the causal relationship between SMEs' success variables on competence and performance. Second, the effect of success variables on performance through the mediating effect of competency of SMEs. Third, the effect of SMEs' competency on performance. Fourth, the effect on six industries' performance, including electrics/electronics, machinery/parts, IT/SW, chemicals/textiles/materials, life/food, crafts/others. The reason for selecting six industrial classifications is that, since 2001, the Korea Startup Promotion Agency has been operating a business support policy by designating six industrial classifications of small and medium-sized startups. The survey covered 330 CEOs of SMEs in six industries. The basic statistics were analyzed with SPSS 22; the measurement and structural models were evaluated using Smart Partial Least Square (PLS)3.2.9. Increasing the performance of SMEs worldwide is an important issue. With the development, popularization, and crowdfunding of ICT, the barrier to entry has been lowered, making it the foundation for SMEs worldwide. This study's differences are summarized as follows: 1) The independent variable was selected as four sub-factors. Management performance, a dependent variable, was selected as three sub-factors: technical performance, financial performance, and non-financial performance. 2) A sub-factor of competency was studied by selecting technology innovation competency and technology marketing competency. 3) The causal relations impact on performance according to the industry was compared and verified. Abstract:
In the Era of Industry 4.0, technology has a significant impact on how people live and work. The pharmaceutical sector is likely to face an "innovator dilemma" when dealing with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Pharmaceutical employees should prepare to adopt technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Robotic, 3-D printing (Baines et al., 2018). Even in the industry based on technology, companies' performance does not rely solely on technological expertise. Technology is not the most significant barrier to adopting the 4.0 Era, but organizational culture and employee readiness are the biggest challenges (Vuong et al., 2019). To survive in Industrial Era 4.0, having sufficient knowledge of technology's changes and speed is essential. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that specific low-skilled jobs will be eliminated (Dirican, 2015). Supposedly, the development of technology does not replace workers but instead increases efficiency in work. Note that the future workforce has a critical role to play in the success of factory innovation. Transformation in era 4.0 requires workforces to have good competence. Abstract:
Every process must always include three main activities, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. Similarly, what happens with the teaching and learning process in schools? A teacher is required to carry out planning, implementation and evaluation of learning. The learning planning process that must be carried out by a teacher includes the following main activities: 1) Making an annual program; 2) Making syllabus; 3) Making semester programs; 4) Make a plan for implementing learning; 5) And make a repeat / evaluation program. Of the five elements mentioned above, the syllabus and lesson plan are the minimum preparation for a teacher when they want to teach. Based on the results of the first semester analysis in the 2017/2018 school year at Lubuk Sikaping 2 High School, the problem arises the low ability of teachers to make learning planning, especially the preparation of syllabus and lesson plans in accordance with the 2013 curriculum.
