Therefore, a DC/DC converter is no longer needed to track the maximum power point, and the cost and complexity of the power conditioning system (PCS) are reduced. The way a horse activates (effort phase-EP) and recovers (recovery phase-RP) during a sportevent can affect its sport performance. The aim of this manuscript was to test horses’ adaptation tosport performance and its genetic basis, using eye temperature assessed with infrared thermography.EP and RP were measured in 495 Spanish Sport Horses, during a performance test, considering sex(2) and genetic lines (5) as fixed effects. The ranking position obtained on an official sport competitionwas also collected. Differences in variables due to genetic line and sex effects were found, showingtha

AbstractThe intention of this paper is to contribute empirical observations and conclusions about monopolistic behaviour in network industries. This will be achieved by examining a special case in the electricity industry of Wurttemberg. The provision of electricity in Wurttemberg was organized in regional companies until 1933, when they were forced to merge into the Energie-Versorgung Schwaben AG. AbstractCarnivora occupy many ecological niches fundamental to ecosystem functioning. Within this diverse order, carnivore species compete to establish dominance, ensure survival and maintain fitness. Subordinate carnivores must, therefore, adapt their behaviour to coexist with dominant species. One such strategy is the partitioning of temporal activity patterns. We aim to determine interspecific avoidance patterns among sympatric carnivores by examining coexistence along a temporal axis. We compared the temporal activity patterns of 13 carnivore species using multi‐seasonal camera trapping da
