<p>El artículo presenta una investigación documental que sustenta la necesidad de un marco conceptual de referencia para instaurar la lengua especializada para el turismo competitivo y lo propone, entendiendo al turismo como un área de estudio autónoma. Abstract:

Este artigo é o resultado das reflexões realizadas nos encontros do projeto de extensão executado na Universidade Federal de Itajubá sob o nome ‘Cine & Prosa’, que teve como proposta a exibição de documentários, os quais tecem críticas ao modelo de desenvolvimento econômico hegemônico. Objetiva-se identificar as narrativas que reforçam os modos de viver do lugar, que colocam em contraposição os modelos de desenvolvimento global, baseado na individualidade e competitividade, e outras formas de desenvolvimento, estruturadas em relações de confiança e cooperação. As informações foram coletadas das discussões sobre os documentários Futuros Antigos: aprendendo com Ladakh (1993), Noivas do Cordeiro (2007) e O Mineiro e o Queijo: patrimônio proibido (2011). Na sistematização dos dados, pela correlação entre teoria e os depoimentos selecionados, vê-se que as diferentes concepções de desenvolvimento, em distintas realidades, podem constituir experiências que consideram as dimensões do social, da cultura e da sustentabilidade, traduzidas como outras possibilidades de desenvolvimento.

Abstract:

En économie fermée, l'efficacité économique d'un système de quotas C02 échangeables est garantie avec la mise aux enchères de ces quotas. En économie ouverte, les pertes de compétitivité et les fuites de C02 peuvent remettre en cause cette efficacité pour des secteurs industriels comme la sidérurgie ou le ciment. Il existe alors deux alternatives : l'ajustement aux frontières et l'allocation gratuite proportionnelle à la production. Si la première est politiquement sensible, elle économiquement justifiée. L'intérêt économique de la seconde n'est pas garanti: l'analyse se conduit dans un contexte incertain concernant l'ampleur des pertes de compétitivité et des fuites. Cette incertitude est grande à cause du manque de travaux empiriques sur certains paramètres clefs et de la faiblesse des travaux de modélisation cherchant à quantifier ces pertes et ces fuites. Les modélisations alternatives développées permettent une meilleure compréhension de la dynamique industrielle mais ne peuvent mieux quantifier
Within a close economy, the economic efficiency of a tradable CO2 allowance system is maximum when all allowances are auctioned. Within an open economy, the competitiveness losses and carbon leakage challenge this efficiency for industrial sectors like cement or steel. There are two alternatives: border adjustment and output-based allocation. The former is politically sensitive but economically justified. The economic efficiency of the latter is dubious: there are many uncertainties on the magnitude of potential competitiveness losses and carbon leakage. These uncertainties are due to the lack empirical works on some key parameters and to the weakness of existing modelling works which assess these losses and leakage. Alternative modelling works lead to a better understanding of industrials dynamics but to similarly poor assessment

The purposes of this study were to (1) confirm the effect of truffle inoculation on the seedlings growth of Cyclobalanopsis glauca, (2) observe the competition of Scleroderma areolatum to the mycorrhizae formed either by Tuber formosanom or T. indicum and (3) compare the competition of S. areolatum to the truffle cultured on YMT agar medium. After the seedlings of C. glauca were inoculated with T. formosanum and T. indicum , the height growth, root collar diameter, top dry weight and root dry weight were much more significantly stimulated than those of non-inoculated seedlings. The T/R ratio of both Tuber-inoculated seedlings was significantly lower than those of non-inoculated seedlings. S. areolatum could form typical white ectomycorrhizae , when it was inoculated to one year’s old C. glauca seedlings mycorrhized either with T. formosanum or T. indicum two months later after inoculation. The other uninoculated rootlets could be infected by the rhizomorph extended from white ectomycorrhiza. The rhizomorph could also infect the Tuber-infected ectomycorrhizae and finally enveloped it. Therefore, the inoculation of S. areolatum could reduce or impede the mycorrhiza formation formed by T. formosanum or T. indicum . The Tuber- mycorrhized C. glauca seedlings inoculated with S. areolatum two months later could also stimulate seedlings growth, as the seedlings were inoculated with truffle only. YMT agar medium was used to test the colony competition between T. formosanum and S. areolatum, T. formosanum and S. areolatum each other. The results showed that the colony growth of either T. formosanum or T. indicum grew much quicker than that of S. areolatum, and could impact the growth of S. areolatum. There was compete dominance for the colony growth of T. indicum , especially. The colony of T. indicum could cover the colony of S. areolatum at the end of the test. The colony of T. formosanum and S. areolatum grew mixedly each other at the late stage. Neither the hyphal anastomoses of T. indicum and S. areolatum, nor the hyphal anastomoses of T. formosanum and S. areolatum were observed.

Abstract:

The railway system, one of the backbones of transportation systems in many countries is becoming more and more complex. It plays increasingly significant role in economic development of the country. Therefore, it becomes necessary to ensure that it operates effectively, efficiently and safely. To achieve that railway industries have to move from old traditional manual work, mechanization and electronic usage to intelligent transportation system (ITS). The transformation of railway transportation to railway intelligent transportation system (RITS) can be a core stratagem to keep and improve the competivity from other modes of transportation. Rapid development of emerging technologies such as communication and computing, intelligent system, technological development of railway industries along with 36,000 kilometers (kms) of laid optical fiber cable make it feasible for Indian Railway (IR) to develop and design RITS. This new generation of railway transportation with higher speed, higher performance and zero tolerance for safety may be able to meet the challenges beyond IR vision 2020. The use of RITS architecture encourages structured development and integration of ITS systems that leads to maximization of benefits by minimizing redundancies and maximizing capabilities. This paper presents a distributed framework for a multi-layered RITS architecture that can be designed for integrating generated information. It also addresses the design issues and challenges in the IR scenario.

Abstract:

Value stream mapping is used to analyze and improve the production flow in many industries, which includes the airplane and automobile industries worldwide. The shipbuilding industry has adopted lean manufacturing techniques. However, the amount of value stream mapping application in the shipbuidling industry is still relatively sparse due to the large variety of interim products and ship types. The aim of this paper is to analyze the interim products of a typical sized commercial shipyard with a product mix of chemical tankers and asphalt barges to demonstrate how a lean transformation can be performed using a shipyard value stream mapping methodology. The case study maps the typcial panel assembly lines of the shipyard and demonstrates the differences between the ship type interim products and using the lean manufacturing methodology developed by the authors to demonstrate how to define and adjust the production facilities using both lean and group technology techniques to create an improved production line which is demonstrated through a future improved value stream map. The main criteria for analyzing and comparing production improvement is through man-hours and duration time. The future value stream map has improvements of up to 50 percent, which demonstrates the importance of adopting a value stream mapping methodology for shipyards aiming to improve world competivity by decreasing production costs, while maintaining and/or improving quality of the ship buidling blocks.
