These two models are descriptions of complex systems from different perspectives and have important and irreplaceable significance in the theoretical research and practical application of complex systems. The future research direction of complex systems is not the “integration” of the two models but the alternation of the two

A stochastic model of a nonadjustable data measurement complex platform for track geometry cars is introduced. A state vector evaluation algorithm based on the approximation of a posteriori probability density by the system of a posteriori moments is also offered.

Abstract Let 𝑋 be an 𝑙-connected space and 𝑈 a connected CW complex with dim 𝑈 ≤ 𝑙. Let 𝐹(𝑈,𝑋) be the space of continuous maps from 𝑈 to 𝑋. In this paper, an algebraic model for the evaluation map 𝐹(𝑈,𝑋) × 𝑈 → 𝑋 is considered in terms of the model for the function space due to Brown and Szczarba [Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 349: 4931-4951, 1997]. It turns out that the Brown and Szczarba model for the function space coincides with Haefliger's model.

In the paper authors presented concept of evaluation of complex systems such as logistic companies which operate in competitive environment. Authors also highlighted the importance of the evaluation problem in operational activity, particularly in the properly prepared procedures to be followed, consisted of several stages adapted to currently conducted research. Properly executed evaluation of companies enables customers to take right decisions on contracting services and stimulate the development of those companies. It should be noted that the proposed algorithmic model of assessment may be

Large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT have risen in prominence recently, leading to the need to analyze their strengths and limitations for various tasks. The objective of this work was to evaluate the performance of large language models for model checking, which is used extensively in various critical tasks such as software and hardware verification. A set of problems were proposed as a benchmark in this work and three LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini) were evaluated with respect to their ability to solve these problems. The evaluation was conducted by comparing the responses of the th

While evaluation capacity building (ECB) may hold promise for fostering evaluation, little is known about how it is operationalized within a network. This article presents initial findings from a National Science Foundation–funded research project (Complex Adaptive Systems as a Model for Network Evaluations) that used concepts from complex adaptive systems theory to develop case studies of ECB within the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network. The project used a multiple case study approach to explore ECB within four Network workgroups. Cross-case themes documented characteristics of the

In developing countries, especially China, large-scale commercial complexes are the current trend in commercial real estate. Compared with other similar buildings, scientific site selection is very important for the smooth construction and efficient operation of these complexes. However, there is still a lack of a targeted evaluation index system and quantitative evaluation methods. Therefore, this paper put forward the evaluation index system and method of large-scale commercial-complex location based on a projection pursuit model. First, this paper comprehensively considered the environmenta
