Full textThis research starts from designing, an activity at the heart of interrogations concerning our current consumption behaviour. As a practice, design is evolving in reaction to responsibilities in the current environmental context, by questioning the role of physical objects and by finding technological and virtual alternatives. While evolutions towards more virtual solutions may be beneficial they don’t resolve the problem of the place of materials in our relations and our behaviour. This constitutes the research start point: attempting to identify the relational components that contribute to product longevity, as the optimisation and extension of product life-times has the potential to reduce the rate of consumption of both materials and embodied energy. The aim is to focus on the banal objects and relations that constitute the majority of what surrounds us.This research is in three parts, which represent three different ways to approach lasting product relations. Section one concentrates on the activity that creates objects and produces elements that can create relations with them. Section two examines theoretical frameworks already used to structure object relations, with the aim of identifying elements appropriate for addressing longer relations and aspects of relations that may be overlooked. Section three examines object relations in-situ in everyday life, through a series of studies of user behaviour based on design research methods. The potential complexity of longer everyday object relations is underlined by these three sections. Section one highlights the multiple facets that products can possess. Section two illustrates different ways that these facets can be structured and section three regroups product facets that appear to contribute to longer product relations. The first and third sections also illustrate two different moments in product relations: firstly conception, production and first contact, and secondly reception and life with the object, which may not be sufficiently taken into account in design activity. The outcome of the experimentation phase (section three) is an illustration mapping the key components present in longer product relations. This illustration gives an overview of the components identified as most robust. Some of these components match themes and determinants already identified in recent research and confirm the multi-facetted nature of longer everyday product relationships. The identification of the importance of actions (using, touching and feeling…), less present in the literature consulted, constitute a key contribution in this research. These are relational components that should be emphasised in future models and design strategies. This research aims to re-evaluate the importance given to the symbolic aspects of object relations in the context of ordinary products and underline the presence, importance and particularities of other components closer to the physical, material object

Full textThe object of the study was the resilience of the individual. The subject of the study was the relationship of hardiness and its indicators with tolerance to uncertainty and indicators of professional self-attitude. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of references (80 sources) and appendices, including forms of the applied methods and the results of statistical data processing. The volume of the master's thesis is 86 pages, which contain 12 figures and 8 tables. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, study problem, put the goal and objectives of the study, defines the object and subject of research, formulates the main and additional hypotheses that specifies the methods and empirical base, as well as the stages of the study, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter includes a review of foreign and domestic literature on the topics of hardiness, tolerance to uncertainty and professional self-attitude. The sections devoted to the analysis of the specifics of the professional activity of a practical psychologist are presented. The conclusions of the first chapter are the results of the study of the theoretical material. The second chapter is devoted to the empirical part of the study. It describes the organization and methods of the study and the results obtained by all the methods used: the test of hardiness of S. Maddi (in the adaptation of D. A. Leontiev and E. I. Rasskazova), the method of determining tolerance to uncertainty of S. Badner (in the adaptation of A. G. Soldatova), as well as the questionnaire of professional self-attitude of K. V. Karpinsky and A. M. Kolyshko. The chapter also presents a correlation and regression analysis of the results of the study. The conclusions of chapter 2 include the main results of the empirical study. In conclusion, the results of the theoretical and empirical parts of the work, as well as conclusions on the hypotheses put forward, are summarized, the practical significance of the study is justified and possible prospects for further development of this problem are described.

Full textAccording to the World Risk Report released by the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security, the Philippines is ranked third globally in terms of disaster risk. Public health risks and understanding social vulnerability are usually overlooked and very little attention is given. Thus, this research work focuses on. This research was an exploratory step and a rapid assessment of the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) of the community people towards flood vulnerability and resilience and their exposure to microorganisms such as E.coli, Leptospirosis and the Dengue Fever mosquito. Appropriate community-based indicators were formulated and developed. Their socio-demographic profile, housing conditions, physical environment and governance were also included. The survey was done from March 2013 to July 2013 to capture the dry and wet season for bacterial sampling. A total of 357 household respondents from the 12 communities and 30 respondents from the LGU and NGO were surveyed. Results of the study revealed an overall Flood Vulnerability Index (FVI) of 39.34%. Barangay Tabuc-tubig (53.39%) topping from all the 12 communities surveyed using the newly developed 36 community-based flood vulnerability indicators with its corresponding 5 major components namely; hydro-climatic, social, economic, socio-behavioral and the politico-administrative. It is interesting to note that FVI remains low in spite that the exposure indicators are high. The low FVI can be attributed to the community’s high resilience in its coping and adaptation strategies. In this research work, the FVI is significantly sensitive to susceptibility and flood resilience variables

Full textNurse educators have identified that historically nurses have not been preparedto care for dying patients. Research also has identified that nursing students haveanxieties about death, dying, and caring for dying patients. Several factors have beenidentified as affecting nurses', nursing students', and medical students' attitudestoward care of the dying. Factors addressed in this research will be death education, and death experience. As part of a national movement to improve end-of-life (EOL) care, schools ofnursing are starting to implement EOL education in their curricula. This researchlooked at one component of EOL education, which incorporates experiential learningusing Quint's (1967) model of death education and transformative learning theory. The educational experiences were geared to help students understand the skills neededto competently and compassionately care for the dying; those behaviors include: (1)responding during the death scene, (2) providing comfort, (3) responding to anger, (4)enhancing personal growth, (5) responding to colleagues, (6) enhancing the quality oflife during dying, and (7) responding to the family (Degner, Gow, & Thompson,1991). The study examined the long-term effects of an educational experience todetermine if a one- time educational experience provides sufficient, lasting effects in a6-week format. Results of this study indicate that education can have a positive effect onnursing students' attitudes toward care of the dying. Nursing students in the treatmentgroup had a significant positive increase in their attitudes toward care of thedying after the treatment. It was also noted on the pretest that those students who hadprevious experience in caring for dying patients had a statistically significant higherpositive attitude toward care of the dying than those who did not have previousexperience in care of the dying. The attitude change increased slightly after a 4-weekperiod. The use of the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) educationpackage along with experiences at hospice, the funeral home, the anatomy lab and roleplay help facilitate transformative learning in nursing students.

Full textPopulation aging is a global phenomenon that has been observed in recent decades. The 2000 demographic Census identified 10 million Brazilians aged over than 65 years, estimating that by 2030 they should reach a population of 25 million elderly people. The consequences of the elderly people increasing number result in social demands increase that should represent a major socio-economic challenge for the country, requiring the development of policies in order to provide a services network capable of ensuring the basic rights for the elderly. The concentration of efforts by different specialties sought to increase knowledge about aging, creating resources for the maintenance of independence and autonomy of older persons. There is a consensus on the physiological and psychosocial benefits arising out of regular physical exercises, showing changes in values and habits with regard to health independent of people age. Studies with elderly showed that participation in some type of physical activity potentiated physical and mental gains and a significant gain in social living and mood. This study aimed to develop and validate attitudes scales for use in elderly, based on beliefs and values measures toward the Social Living, according to the bipolar model proposed by Fishbein and Ajzen. A pilot study was carried out with 14 people, men and women over 60 years, minimum education corresponding to primary education, in physical and mental conditions favorable in order to participate in research. Initially modal salient beliefs were identified in interviews focused on social living. Based on these data were constructed bipolar type Likert scales in seven points about probability and evaluation, ranging from -3 to +3, with 0 as the central point. These scales were applied in 210 women aged over 60 years, most participants in the Community Integration Program of Ribeirão Preto. The data were processed in SPSS statistic program to identify principal components, using saturation above .45 and eigenvalue greater than 1.00 as criterion. Based on these studies, some contents were identified and related to Teleological Beliefs/Spirituality ( = .91), Socialization/Continuity ( = .82), Wisdom/Hold ( = .76), Life Conditions/Survival ( = .75), Family Living ( = .73) and Work/Activation ( = .66).

Full textOrganisational citizenship behaviour (OCB) is discretionary behaviour of employees that display altruism, courtesy, conscientiousness and loyalty towards co-workers and the organisation. OCB is important, since it promotes efficient and effective functioning of the organisation (Organ, 1988: 4). Research suggests that OCB is related to perceptions of organisational justice (OJ). OJ refers to fairness of decision making processes in the workplace, employees’ perceptions, and the influence of OJ on workplace behaviour. Perceived fairness determines the extent of employees’ OCB contributions to the organisation. OCB may be increased if employee perceptions of OJ are improved (Moorman, 1991: 845). Anecdotal evidence suggests that many workers at the research site (Company A) display negative OCB, hence identifying a need for this study. The main objective of the study was to determine employee perceptions of OJ, levels of OCB, and to test the nature of the relationship between perceptions of OJ and OCB at Company A. Employees at Company A (N=130) were surveyed regarding their perceptions of OJ and their willingness to display OCB. Cross sectional, quantitative data was collected in a paper based survey, by using existing instruments that were formulated from validated standardised questionnaires to measure OJ and OCB. Responses were analysed, and the results of the study showed that certain components of OJ are related to OCB at Company A. Understanding the effect that management practices have on perceptions of OJ will enable management at Company A to improve interaction with employees in an effort to improve employees’ perceptions of fairness. This should enhance employee/management relations, encourage more citizenship behaviour from employees, and ultimately benefit the organisation.

Full textStudy 1 sought to psychometrically validate the CADAS. 453 children completed the CADAS item pool and measures assessing divergent validity. The CADAS was readministered 3 weeks later. Items were retained based on item-total correlations, internal consistency, and factor analyses. The finalized CADAS is a 22-item self-report measure with a unidimensional factor structure and sound psychometric properties.
Study 2 tested Beck's theory using the CADAS to assess depressogenic schemata as a vulnerability factor for depression. An independent sample of 241 children completed the CADAS and a measure of depression one week before receiving school report cards (Time 1). The morning after receiving reports (Time 2), stress was assessed by obtaining parents' reactions to reports, and with an index of children's subjective acceptable grades compared to actual grades. Five days later (Time 3), depression was reassessed.
As hypothesized, regression analyses collapsing across age revealed that Time 1 CADAS interacted with Time 2 parental stress to predict changes in depression from Times 1 to 3. High-CADAS children showed greater increases in depression relative to low-CADAS children when facing the stress of parental anger and disappointment regarding their grades. Consistent with cognitive-developmental theory, planned supplemental analyses indicated that the CADAS x stress interaction predicted depressive changes only in older, formal-operational children. The relationship between the CADAS x stress interaction and depressive changes was mediated by negative views of the self, but not by views of the world or of the future.
This work yields a measure of depressogenic schemata in school-aged children that further contributes to understanding their etiology of depression. These schemata, together with negative views of oneself, may be important targets for modification in the cognitive therapy of childhood depression.

Full textUp to now there are few studies investigating volitional components of scientific literacy such as students’ attitudes, interests and motivation. Some research findings show that the volitional components play an important role in competence development. The present study focuses on the development of students’ attitudes towards natural scientific subjects in primary school and during the transition to secondary school. The theoretical framework used is the attitude construct developed in social psychology. The longitudinal research design comprises two sub-studies based upon four different attitude expressions relating to “enjoyment of learning”, “orientation towards aim and achievement”, “boredom” and “frustration”. Two empirically tested questionnaires were put in place in order to investigate the development of students’ attitudes towards the subjects general sciences, natural sciences and biology. In accordance with the findings of other studies the results of this longitudinal study show that the initial “enjoyment of learning” (sub-study 1) as well as “enjoyment of learning and orientation towards aim and achievement” (sub-study 2) declines over the school years. At the same time the attitude expressions “boredom” and “frustration” can be found in an increasing number of students. After the transition to secondary school the number of students with the attitude expression “frustration” declines. There seems to be an impact of the transition on the development of students’ attitudes. Knowing how attitudes develop during the transition to secondary school could be a basis for the design and development of teaching science education and help to form transition programs and strategies which trigger the development of positive attitudes. The outcome of this would be a development of scientific literacy.

Full textThe principle purpose of this thesis has been to study and analyse the conception of men and women in business bankruptcy during the 20th century. The analysis is built on a theoretical gender perspective and, combining this view and business and bankruptcy research, the thesis has focused on five themes: business networks, bank contacts, business competence, business characteristics and finally bankruptcy causes. These themes have been in focus when analysing bankruptcies in Uppsala 1920-1939, 1988, 1992 and 1996. A questionnair- and interview study with receivers active in Sweden 2001 has also been carried out. From the bankruptcy cases that have been studied, no specific gender differences have really been discovered. There were some variations between men and women, but it is very hard to claim that these are related to the sex of the debtor more than to the branch or to the individuals. Changes from the inter-war period to the latter part of the 20th century are in these respects also small. The image that the receivers gave through the questionnaire and interview study indicates on the other hand that there existed a conception that men and women seemed different as business owners. It is obvious that there were many receivers who thought that women were different from men in a situation of business bankruptcy, even though several of them stated that they did not beleive in any gender differences.

Full textThis study aimed to analyze the existence of a relationship between the type of education (teaching unit structured for autism spectrum disorders vs. no unit) and the attitudes of students in relation to colleagues with autism spectrum disorders. In order to verify the relationship between these variables, we applied the scale Chedoke-McMaster Attitudes Towards Children with Handicaps (CATCH), which permitted the assessment of attitudes to cognitive, behavioral and emotional components of attitudes. This study involved 326 students of both sexes, the 4 grade enrolled in public schools in the Lisbon school network. The relationship between the teaching type and attitudes was significant (tended, the students of schools with structured teaching units have more positive attitudes).
Fuller, Beverly Dawn. "Psychological type and cognitive style as antecedents of computer attitude components." Thesis, 1997. https://hdl.handle.net/10539/24715.
Full textThe current research report seeks to investigate the relationship between psychological type/cognitive style, and computer attitude components, namely computer anxiety. computer confidence, and computer liking, in a sample of full-time banking employees. Psychological type is assessed by means of the dichotomous preferences of extraversion-introversion (E-I), thinking-feeling (T-F) , and sensing-intuition (S-N), based on Jungian personality theory, and operationalised by the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. The T-F and S-N preferences, being mental processes 0'1 judging or perceiving, may also be interpreted as cognitive styles. Pertinent to the current investigation is the impact that certain demographic variables have on computer attitudes, in terms of their relationship with, and their ability to predict computer attitudes. Research results provide moderate support for the proposed hypotheses. No relationship was found between the extraversion-introversion preference and computer attitudes. People with a sensing preference exhibited more positive attitudes towards computers than people with an intuition preference, People with a thinking preference indicated less computer anxiety and more positive computer attitudes as a whole than their feeling counterparts. No relationship was found between the T- F preference and computer liking or confidence. Age and previous computer experience were found to have the strongest relationships with computer attitudes, suggesting that these two demographics could predict computer attitudes more effectively and conclusively than personality variables. No relationships were found for gender differences and computer attitudes, contrary to previous research.

This paper studies the attitude balance control of unicycles, which can be driven either by human or electrical approaches. The gyro module by HiTechnic and the Mindstorms NXT components by Logo are investigated to measure the unicycle's incline angle. The program design in this work is performed by using BrixCC. Based on the angle and angular rate information obtained from gyro, the servo motor's position and power are controlled by PD control law, and then the attitude balance of the electric unicycle can be maintained.

Renqing and guanxi are specific inter-personal cultural assets of Chinese society. Renqing is often considered behavior guidelines, and guanxi is treated as important assess to a find inter-personal interactions to others. Therefore, it is common for Chinese to use Renqing and guanxi in social exchanges as well as in businesses encounters. This study adopted Renqing’s (helping, face-saving, reciprocity, pay-back, share and caring, and in-group) and guanxi elements (instrumental and affective components) to examine their effects to organization members’ work attitude, commitment, and job involvement. This study chose multi-level marketing (MLM) companies in Taiwan as research sample. To avoid common method variance (CMV), paired survey was adopted. Each MLM distributor was paired to three to five of their direct down-lines. In total 80 distributors and 341 of their down-lines’ questionnaires were collected. There are two major research findings: 1). All the Renqing’s constructs show positive effect on commitment, except in-grouping. 2). Affective component positively affects commitment and job involvement; instrumental component negatively affects commitment and work involvement. Based on research findings, research and managerial implications and suggestions are provided.

Consumers’ buying decision is very complex. Usually purchasing intention is related with consumers’ attitude. Purchase attitude is an important key point for consumers during considering and evaluating of certain product. The purchase intention is an effective tool use in predicting purchasing process. Once a consumer decides to purchase a product in certain store, he/she will be driven by their intention. However, purchase intention might be altered by the influence of price. This study was developed to understand the gender difference on the attitude components which are affective component, behavioral component and cognitive component and also pricing [high – low price] influencing the purchasing decision of Thai tourists in the Harbour Community Mall Project in Chiang Mai. Therefore, gender was used as the moderator in the study. After 280 participators have finished the experiments at an online survey, this study acquire some results to analyze. To males, in terms of affective component, their responds are not the same with female. On the other hand, the results of male and female of Thai tourists in terms of the behavioral component, cognitive component and also pricing are in the same ways. However, the study found that most of Thai tourists still want to revisit the Harbour Community Mall Project in Chiang Mai.

With the rapid growth of internet, people get more information than ever before. In many network platforms, blogs become important channelsand people like to get some product information, because blogs don’t contain commercial intent and it can be interactive. Therefore, this study investigates how the product attitudes were influenced by the source credibility, message order effect、Electronic Word-of-Mouth Message and the moderating effect of product involvement and product knowledge. This research adopts the Laboratory Experimentation, and three Independent variables such as blogger type of expertise (expertise/non-expertise), the order effect of internet review (positive to negative/negative to positive) and the number of (e)WOM (large/little).Finally, by retrieving 160 effective subjects, we verify the hypothesis by using t-test, simple regression analysis and ANCOVA analysis. The results showed that the source credibility enhanced word of mouth credibility, and word of mouth credibility enhanced subjects’ attitudes of product. After reading the professional blogger’s blog, the highly involved participants were more influence than low involved participants for the building of product attitude. After the highly involved participants and highly product knowledge participants read internet review of product, their attitudes were influenced by the primary effects. In contrast with lowly involved participants and lowly product knowledge participants, their attitudes were influenced by the recency effects. The results could provide the effective recommendations of online marketing to companies.

Govender, Yamantha. "Perceptions of homoeopathy graduates of Durban University of Technology (previously Technikon Natal) with regard to research as a component of the degree." Thesis, 2009. http://hdl.handle.net/10321/513.
Full textAnecdotal evidence suggests that students perceive the research component of the Master’s Degree in Technology: Homoeopathy (M.Tech: Homoeopathy) qualification at Durban University of Technology (DUT) in a negative light, and as an unnecessary obstacle to the qualification and the practice of homoeopathy (Naude, 2008). One of the reasons for this negative perception is that in terms of the Homoeopathic programme, the only exit point is upon completion of the Master’s Degree. Although relevant status is awarded upon completion of N. Dip: Homoeopathy after the third year of study and B. Tech: Homoeopathy after the fourth year of study, no actual certificates/qualifications are awarded or issued nor can the student register/practice as a Homoeopath (Durban University of Technology, 2009). The Homoeopathic profession in South Africa is unique as there are very few professional qualifications which prescribe an obligatory Master’s level qualification in order to register and practice the respective profession. Due to the M.Tech: Homoeopathy being the only exit point in the Homoeopathy programme, every registered student must complete a Master’s dissertation in order to qualify and ultimately practice Homoeopathy in South Africa, this often results in students conducting research for the wrong reasons, without the genuine academic desire to do so or the maturity and skills required (Naude, 2008). According to the Education Department of South Africa (2007), the primary purposes of a Master’s Degree are to educate and train researchers who can contribute to the development of knowledge at an advanced level, or prepare graduates for advanced and specialised professional employment. A Master’s Degree must have a significant research component. iv The Education Department of South Africa (2007), states that a Master’s Degree may be earned in either of two ways: (1) by completing a single advanced research project, culminating in the production and acceptance of a thesis or dissertation, or (2) by successfully completing a course work programme requiring a high level of theoretical engagement and intellectual independence and a research project, culminating in the acceptance of a dissertation. In the latter case, a minimum of 60 credits at level 9 must be devoted to conducting and reporting research. According to the Education Department of South Africa (2007), Master’s graduates must be able to deal with complex issues both systematically and creatively, make sound judgements using data and information at their disposal and communicate their conclusions clearly to specialist and nonspecialist audiences. Graduates must be able to demonstrate self-direction and originality in tackling and solving problems, act autonomously in planning and implementing tasks at a professional or equivalent level, and continue to advance their knowledge, understanding and skills. Methodology A non-experimental descriptive survey was conducted to determine the perceptions of DUT M.Tech: Homoeopathy graduates with regards to research as a component of the degree. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed and 50 anonymous responses were obtained. Raw data was analysed using descriptive statistics and the relationships between variables tested for correlations. v Results 27% of practicing graduates felt that research had a direct benefit on their professional development. Graduates said that after completing research they felt more competent and gained more faith in their profession. 34% of graduates thought that research had a direct benefit on their personal development. Graduates felt that on the path of working towards a long term goal they had discovered that they possessed a significant amount of patience and will power. 40% of graduates agreed that research had no contribution to their personal and professional development as a Homoeopath. Although some graduates said they felt a “sense of accomplishment” upon completing research, other graduates argued that the delay in qualifying as a result of research contributed to the loss of income and valuable clinical knowledge. Conclusions and Recommendations The process of research is a multi–factorial problem. One has to look at each individual case in order to gain insight into how to best address respective problem areas in order to improve the process of research and reduce the delays in qualification. Many graduates expressed dissatisfaction at the inconsistent time factor, from conception of the research design, to awaiting both approval of the DUT 186 and finally the marking of the completed work. Some graduates felt that difficulties relating to the quality and quantity of supervision as well as poor patient/ participant compliance were the factors responsible for their delay in qualification. Many graduates reported that the previously limited Homoeopathic research budget left them compromised for scope, diversity and new ideas. vi It was recommended that future students insist on formal supervision contracts which clearly define issues such as accessibility and timeframes. It was also recommended that future students consider at least two supervisors, preferably one being an external supervisor with suitable specialist skills concerning the respective research study. Furthermore, it was recommended that future research should be designed around easily accessible target populations. The M.Tech: Homoeopathy programme is currently undergoing recurriculation; the new curriculum will be most likely implemented in 2011. A draft curriculum has been designed by academic staff of DUT and University of Johannesburg. The proposed new curriculum aims to addresse issues such as difficulties with research as well as solutions to these difficulties.

Full textIn the process of teaching and learning foreign languages is known today about the importance of teaching the language proficiency in parallel with the socio-cultural competence. It is proven that to communicate appropriately and effectively is extremely important to know the culture of the L2 countries. It is time to put aside the most structuralize ideas that guide the teaching of languages for grammar and vocabulary acquisition. With this work we intend to conduct a case study in a school of Barcelos for high school students, in A2 Level about the importance of teaching socio-cultural aspects (attitudes and values) in ELE classes. Attitudes and values as guiding the behaviour in the classroom context will help because one day they will be consenting adults aware of people multiculturalism and their individuality. The teaching and learning process of second languages should be based on an intercultural approach among people, having as starting point the cultural identity of students and of every human being, to further identify multicultural characteristics of different Spanish-speaking people. Regarding the structure of this work the first part of the report shows the evolution of the culture term to the present day, the different skills in language teaching and guidance documents for teaching foreign languages. The second part refers to the methodology, presentation of the case study, analysis of results and respective conclusions.

The purpose of this study is to understand the knowledge and attitude toward the environment among teachers and students in senior agricultural schools and the quality and quantity of environmental component in their technical textbooks so as to provide a foundation for improving environmental education for senior agricultural schools. 306 students and 47 teachers in Farm Management Programs from 10 senior agricultural schools were surveyed for their knowledge and attitude toward environment. The content of nine textbooks on agronomy, horticulture, animal science and crop breeding were analyzed for their environmental components. Major findings are summarized below: 1.Students knowledge about population and ecolgical balance are most dificient. 2.In terms of knowledge related to agricultural environment, students show a lacking in understanding in chemical pollution, soil pollution and organic farming. 3.Students have rather positive, but not very active attitude; about 30% of them are likely to engage in behaviors that are desturctive to the environment. 4.70% of the students obtain information about the environmetn from television; the least informative source for students are seminars and lectures. 26% of the students claim to have never gained any information from textbooks. 5.Students residing in urban areas possess more knowledge than those in rural areas. Female students have better attitudes than their male counterparts. 6.Female students obtain more informat about the environment from textbooks than male students. Urban students receive less information about the environment than those in rural areas. Students whose parents are business people get more information about the environment through interpersonal channels and school activities than other students. Students whose parents have high school and higher education obtain more information from mass media. 7.Overall, teachers have superior knowledge and attitudes than students. 8.In technical textbooks, ideas about resources and pollution are most abundant while those on population and ecological balance are most deficient.
