Abstract:
Statistics has proven its usefulness in research over centuries to produce quality insights and data-driven decision-making. Learning statistics not only rely on cognitive but other factors such including attitude as well. This descriptive-correlational research determined the attitudes toward statistics in the components of affect, cognitive competence, value, difficulty, interest and effort, and statistical literacy of 200 public senior high school students selected through stratified random sampling. The SATS-36© developed by Schau et al. (2003) was used to determine attitudes, while a researcher-made questionnaire was utilized to measure statistical literacy. Using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis, students' attitudes toward the subject were established positively in value, interest, and effort components. In contrast, a negative attitude was exhibited in the components of affect, cognitive competence, and difficulty. Students' statistical literacy was found to be low in all areas and as a whole. Among the six components of attitude, the value component showed a significant relationship and predicted students' statistical literacy. Thus, the most vital component of attitudes toward statistics is value.

Abstract:
The author examines whether the response styles of yeasaying and standard deviation in rating scale responses convey information on respondents’ attitudes or create bias that distorts attitude information and marketing research. A method is proposed to identify attitude information components and bias components in response styles, using prediction errors in attitude-behavior models. Analysis of data from a large-scale consumer survey supports the presence of both attitude information and bias components in standard deviation, and an attitude information but not a bias component in yeasaying. This finding suggests that correcting rating scale data by removing the bias but not the attitude information in standard deviation can increase the accuracy of survey research. Examples are given of how bias in standard deviation, and the scoring correction, affect segmentation research.

Abstract:
The general finding shows that the assessment instrument for attitude domain contained in each of the sub-theme in Buku Guru SD / MI, uses the rubric of student behavior observations, even though theoretically the nature of attitude is not the same as behavior, this shows the problem in the implementation of the Curriculum 2013. Ideally, the attitude domain assessment uses attitude measurement instruments, which include components of cognition, affection, and conation. Cognition is related to beliefs (beliefs, ideas, and concepts). The affection component concerns a person's emotional life, while the conation component is a tendency to behave. The three components of attitude do not stand alone, but interact with one another in a complex way. To overcome this problem, direction needs to be prepared for the correct attitude assessment instrument, especially containing the nature of attitudes and their differences with behavior, how to measure attitudes, and how to arrange the attitude scale of the Likert model. The steps in preparing the Likert model attitude scale include are: 1) compiling the attitude object statement; (2) conducting instrument trials; (3) determiinge the score for each statement (instrument blue-print); (4) analyzing items to determine the reliability and validity of the instrument.

Abstract:
The attitude of street-level bureaucrats towards their clients has an impact on the decisions they take. Still, such attitudes have not received much scholarly attention, nor are they generally studied in much detail. This article uses Breckler's psychological multicomponent model of attitude to develop a scale to measure street-level bureaucrats' general attitude towards their clients. By means of a test study ( N=218) and a replication study ( N = 879), the article shows that street-level bureaucrats' attitude towards clients consists of four different components: a cognitive attitude component, a positive affective attitude component, a negative affective attitude component and a behavioural attitude component. It also establishes a conceptual and empirical distinction from related attitudes, such as prosocial motivation, work engagement, bureaucrats’ rule-following identities and self-efficacy, and suggests avenues for application and further validation among different groups of street-level bureaucrats. This instrument opens up opportunities for theory testing and causality testing that surpasses case-specific considerations.

Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to diagnose social attitudes towards professional work of the 55+ generation of Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The analysis is based on the research carried out in Katowice, Ostrava and Debrecen among the 55-65 age group. The research was conducted in April – June 2019. The resulting discussion concerns the cognitive, affective and behavioural attitudes towards professional work. Three national groups are compared. The research findings indicate that taking into account all components of the overall attitude, it is the Poles who achieve the highest value of a positive attitude towards work, then the Hungarians, and finally the Czechs. The Poles demonstrate a consistent attitude towards work, with the individual components displaying similar results. The Czechs exhibit an inconsistent attitude. The highest value is achieved by the affective component and the lowest - by the behavioural one. The Hungarians also show an inconsistent attitude. The cognitive component achieves the same values as in the Czech Republic, however, the affective component achieves a very low value and the behavioural component is high. In Conclusions, the author shows that the economic activity of the 55+ generation is influenced by objective factors, in particular the state policy in the field of obtaining retirement rights and employment opportunities.

Abstract:
Student attitudes toward science have been one of the longstanding topics in science education research. Even though Indonesia has a unique educational system in which cultural, religious, and cognitive aspects are incorporated in the science K-12 curriculum, a limited number of studies have explored Indonesian students’ attitudes towards science. This research aimed to examine students’ attitudes toward science and the interaction between academic grade level and gender in Indonesian primary and middle school. Thirty items from five components of the BRAINS instrument were administered to 1587 Indonesian students from fourth grade through ninth grade to measure their attitude toward science. Rasch analysis, two-way ANOVA, and structural equation modeling path analysis were used to answer the proposed research questions. The current research found that Indonesian students’ attitudes toward science were significantly affected by academic level, however, gender only affected three components of attitude (control belief, attitude toward the behavior, and intention). Female students showed a higher attitude toward science than male students in general. The trends in every component of the students’ attitudes decreased from primary school to middle school. The present research provides a deeper discussion by considering the socio-cultural and educational history of Indonesia. Keywords: academic level, gender, middle school, primary school, science attitude.

Abstract:
Тhe article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the families’ reproductive attitudes, as a basis for understanding the complex demographic situation in the country and the Khabarovsk territory, due to a decrease in the birth rate and increase in the natural population decline. Empirical basis of the research was the results of all-Russian and regional sociological studies, as well as psych diagnostic methods of sociological surveys and diagnostics of families in the Khabarovsk territory. On their basis, the author analyzed the following components of reproductive attitude: awareness (cognitive component), attitude towards children (emotional component) and readiness for childbirth (behavioral component). The content of reproductive attitude of the respondent families main components was revealed, their hierarchy was determined, the values of the spouses and their gender characteristics were compared. It was concluded that the family's decision to have children is influenced by a complex of objective (socio-economic) and subjective (psychological) factors, among which the main role is played by the attitude of the spouse and, as a consequence, her position in determining the number of children in the family.

blue spaces. Attitude towards green-blue space were also studied. However, little attention is given to perceived benefits and attitude components in ecosystem service research. This paper aims to examine community attitudes towards urban green-blue spaces and its association with perceived benefits based on cultural ecosystem services concept. A questionnaire was conducted among 31 respondents of local community at Taiping Lake Garden, Perak. The data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) which involving multiple regression to capture the effects of attitude components on perceived benefits. The findings suggest that overall attitudes of respondents had an excellent level of perceived attitudes toward urban green-blue space. However, among three sub-construct of attitudes, only cognitive attitude was found to be the dominant variable compared to conative and affective attitude that predicts perceived cultural ecosystem benefits. This indicates that if the community could enhance their positive attitudes toward their urban green-blue space, they may perceive higher cultural ecosystem benefits. Future research should continue to explore ways of enhancing positive attitudes among urban community as attitude may guide them to enhance their engagement in urban green-blue spaces.

Abstract:
The article deals with the development of structural components of environmental consciousness for the formation of an individual’s civic identity. The psychodiagnostic research was conducted using the data collected from the first- to fourth-year students. In total, 130 students from various fields of study participated in this study, including students in the Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Technology departments. The study was carried out using the techniques developed by the authors and the technique by S.D.Deryabo and V.A.Yasvin ‘EZOP’.To check the relationship between the ecological attitude and the civic identity of the individual, we used mathematical methods. We hypothesized that the civic identity, which reflects the affiliation of an individual to the civil society of a particular state, has a complex multi-component structure and includes the structural components of the ecological consciousness; therefore, by promoting the development of the structural components of the ecological consciousness, we can contribute to the formation of the civic identity as well.Based on the obtained results, we conclude that the ecological consciousness and its structural components (in particular, the ecological attitude) are closely related to the civic identity of the individual. We show that developing environmental attitudes in students has a positive impact on the formation of their civic identity. This study concludes that there is a direct relationship between the development of environmental attitudes and such structural components of the civic identity as the attitude towards other, people, family, homeland, and nature.

Abstract:
Knowledge sharing (KS) attitude is a psychological variable that affects individuals' decisions to share or hoard their knowledge. While attitude theory describes attitude as a multi-component construct, past research has overlooked the multidimensional structure of the attitude construct in KS contexts. Accordingly, this study focusses on KS attitude as a concept with cognitive, affective, and behavioural components. Data were collected from 89 participants involved in systems development projects to empirically test the expanded structure of KS attitude. The results provide strong support for the tertiary structure of KS attitude and demonstrate three conceptually and empirically distinguishable components of KS attitudinal. The results also show that the cognitive and affective components of KS attitude have significant effects on behavioural attitude to share knowledge. Several practical and research implications can be drawn from the results of this study.

Abstract:
Implicit attitudes are conceived of as formed in childhood, suggesting extreme stability. At the same time, it has been shown that implicit attitudes are influenced by situational factors, suggesting variability by the moment. In the present article, using structural equation modeling, we decomposed implicit attitudes towards gay men into a person factor and a situational factor. The Implicit Association Test ( Greenwald, McGhee, & Schwartz, 1998 ), introduced as an instrument with which individual differences in implicit attitudes can be measured, was used. Measurement was repeated after one week (Experiment 1) or immediately (Experiment 2). Explicit attitudes towards gay men as assessed by way of questionnaires were positive and stable across situations. Implicit attitudes were relatively negative instead. Internal consistency of the implicit attitude assessment was exemplary. However, the within-situation consistency was accompanied by considerable unexplained between-situation variability. Consequently, it may not be adequate to interpret an individual implicit attitude measured at a given point in time as a person-related, trait-like factor.

Abstract:
This study explored the language attitude in terms of gender and socio-economic status (SES) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The aim of this study was to find out the relationships among five components of languages attitudes in terms of gender and socio-economic status (SES). There were 256 participants from four universities in Yogyakarta. The participants were asked to fill out a questionnaire about the language used and general language attitudes through the Google Form. The results showed that there are five components of language attitudes; 1) Indonesian learners showed positive language attitudes toward English (3.58); 2) positive language attitudes toward Indonesian (3.66); 3) positive language attitudes toward English and negative language attitudes toward Indonesian (3.52); 4) positive language attitudes toward Indonesian and negative language attitudes toward English (3.58); 5) positive language attitudes toward English and Indonesian (3.91). These five components of language attitudes were then correlated with gender; 1) gender was positively related to English language attitude where female learners had higher positive language attitudes than males did toward English (.097); 2) there was no relation between gender and Indonesian language attitude (-.071). In addition, SES was also related to five (5) components of language attitudes in which the learners who came from upper class had higher positive language attitudes towards English (.155) than learners who came from lower class. On the other hand, the correlation between SES and Indonesian language showed the learners from middle class had higher positive language attitudes (.031) than the learners from upper class and lower class.DOI: doi.org/10.24071/llt.2018.210112

Abstract:
The article analyses the study results concerning socio-psychological peculiarities of the attitudes to work of youth with different economic status. The socio-psychological model of the “attitude to work” concept is presented as a multilevel system that acts as part of the system of human relations and is closely linked to the formation of a person. This concept consists of three main components: motivationally-semantic, emotionally-axiological and behavioral. Attention should be paid to the importance of the problem of economic states of young people, which affects their attitudes to the labor. Basing on the socio-psychological model of attitude to work, we selected ten key indicators that reflect important social and psychological characteristics of young people’s attitudes to labor according to the three-component model of attitudes to work. The motivational-semantic component is represented by the following indicators: striving for external rewards; internalization of the purpose of social and professional activities; orientation to power; process orientation. The emotional-value component includes such features as satisfaction with relations with colleagues; satisfaction with management personnel relations; satisfaction with job conditions; sense of success in professional work. The behavioral component includes such indicators as readiness for energy expenditure and a socially active strategy of problem solving. These indicators have been empirically investigated for the groups of youth with low, average and high economic statuses. The performed correlative analysis has shown the existing significant links between these indicators and economic statuses of youth. The one-factor dispersion analysis has shown that young people of all three groups have statistical differences for all components, but the greatest differences are between young people with high and low economic statuses.

Abstract:
Two attitude dichotomies – implicit versus explicit and affect versus cognition – are presumed to be related. Following a manipulation of attitudinal focus (affective or cognitive), participants completed two implicit measures (Implicit Association Test and the Sorting Paired Features task) and three explicit attitude measures toward cats/dogs (Study 1) and gay/straight people (Study 2). Based on confirmatory factor analysis, both studies showed that explicit attitudes were more related to implicit attitudes in an affective focus than in a cognitive focus. We suggest that, although explicit evaluations can be meaningfully parsed into affective and cognitive components, implicit evaluations are more related to affective than cognitive components of attitudes.

Abstract:
Consumers’ attitudes are determined by many factors, one of which is a product brand. The objective of the paper is to present young consumers’ attitudes towards mobile phone brands. The ABC model of attitudes is the theoretical framework for the study. The research method was a paper-and-pencil survey (PAPI) on the sample of 250 respondents aged 18–25. The research showed that it is just the name of the brand that can affect consumers’ attitudes. It is a derivative of associations with the brands. The value of the attitude components is differentiated by brands. The affective component appeared to be the most important and the cognitive component – the least important. The findings show that gender and brand of respondents’ mobile phones also differentiate the importance of components of young consumers’ attitudes on the mobile phone market. Limitations and recommendations for further research are presented as well.

Abstract:
This study examined listener attitudes toward 7 speakers with dysarthria who implemented 3 speech supplementation strategies (topic cues, alphabet cues, and combined topic and alphabet cues) and a habitual speech control condition. Findings were similar, but not identical, to intelligibility results published in 2 earlier papers (K. C. Hustad, J. Auker, N. Natale, & R. Carlson, 2003; K. C. Hustad, T. Jones, & S. Dailey, 2003). For each speaker, alphabet cues and combined cues resulted in higher attitude ratings than habitual speech, and combined cues resulted in higher ratings than topic cues. Listener ratings pertaining to cognitive, affective, and behavioral components of attitude showed that ratings for the behavioral component were the highest for all but 1 speaker. The relationship between intelligibility scores and attitude ratings for each speaker were strong and positive, indicating that attitude ratings seem to increase linearly with intelligibility scores.

Abstract:
Precise point positioning with ambiguity resolution (PPP-AR) based on multiple global navigation satellite system (multi-GNSS) constellations is an important high-precision positioning tool. However, some unmodeled satellite and receiver biases (such as errors in satellite attitude) make it difficult to fix carrier-phase ambiguities. In order to fix ambiguities of eclipsing satellites, accurate integer clock and satellite attitude products (i.e., attitude quaternion) have been provided by the International GNSS Service (IGS). Nevertheless, the quality of these products and their positioning performance in multi-GNSS PPP-AR have not been investigated yet. Using the PRIDE PPP-AR II software associated with the corresponding rapid satellite orbit, integer clock and attitude quaternion products of Wuhan University (WUM), we carried out GPS/BDS PPP-AR using 30 days of data in an eclipsing season of 2020. We found that about 75% of GPS, 60% of BDS-2 and 57% of BDS-3 narrow-lane ambiguity residuals after integer clock corrections fall within ±0.1 cycles in the case of using nominal attitudes. However, when using attitude quaternions, these percentages will rise to 80% for GPS, 70% for BDS-2 and 60% for BDS-3. GPS/BDS daily kinematic PPP-AR after integer clock and nominal attitude corrections can usually achieve a positioning precision of about 10, 10 and 30 mm for the east, north and up components, respectively. In contrast, the counterparts are 8, 8 and 20 mm when using attitude quaternions. Compared with the case of using attitude quaternions only at the network end for the integer clock estimation, using attitude quaternions only at the user end shows a pronounced improvement of 15% in the east component and less than 10% in the north and up components. Therefore, we suggest PPP users apply integer clock and satellite attitude quaternion products to realize more efficient ambiguity fixing, especially in satellite eclipsing seasons.

Aim. To study the relationship between two components of the attitude (rational and emotional) of patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) to the disease among themselves as well as the relationship of each component with psychological well-being of patients. Materials and methods. One hundred twenty-nine T1D patients (43 males, 86 females) were studied. The attitude towards the disease was studied using the Colour Attitude Test (CAT) by A.M. Etkind and the Psychological Diagnosis of the Type of Person?s Attitude to the Disease (TAD) developed at the Bekhterev Psychoneurological Research Institute (St. Petersburg). Psychological well-being was evaluated using the 36-item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36), the State?Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) by C.D. Spielberger that was adapted by Y.L. Khanin, the Centre for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D), the self-assessment diagnostic technique by Dembo?Rubinstein and the Purpose in Life Test (PILT) by Crumbaugh Maholick that was adapted by D. Leontyev. Results. There were two groups of patients in the results of cluster analysis of TAD: those with rational adaptive and maladaptive attitudes towards the disease. In the group of patients with the rational adaptive attitude towards the disease, scores were higher on most scales of STAI, CES-D, SF-36 and PILT. In the result of cluster analysis of CAT, there were two groups of patients: those with favourable and unfavourable emotional acceptance of the disease. The group of patients with favourable emotional acceptance of the disease also had higher scores on most scales of STAI, CES-D, SF-36, PILT and the Dembo?Rubinstein technique. The comparative analysis of the relationship of rational and emotional components in attitude to the disease showed their incomplete coincidence among themselves. Conclusions. Both the rational and emotional components of the attitude towards the disease are associated with the psychological well-being of patients. Patients with the adaptive rational attitude towards the disease and a high level of emotional acceptance are characterised by a high level of psychological well-being.

In psychology attitude is defined as favorable or unfavorable evaluations towards a person, group, object or event. Attitudes are formed by past and present experiences and are expected to change as a function of experience. Three components of the attitude defined as cognitive (what we know about the subject), affective (how we feel towards the subject) and behavioral (intention to behave towards the subject). Our behavior is defined as a complex combination of beliefs, feelings, capabilities and norms. The majority of consumer behavior literature examined the main antecedents of purchase behavior. Attitudes are described as one of the most important determinant of the behavior. There are several methods and techniques to assess attitude; the most used one is the self-report paper and pencil measures. Brand loyalty is another important concept related with repetitive purchasing behavior. While cognitive loyalty is related with the information, affective loyalty is related with feelings. Behavioral loyalty is described as the past behaviors or experiences. Some of our behaviors are determined by the cognitive component of the attitude while others may be directed by the affective part. Main focus of the research is to find out whether there is a level of compliance between cognitive, affective and behavioral attitude of consumers. 1000 forms are distributed in order to identify the attitudes and purchasing behaviors of consumers 783 forms are evaluated

Abstract:
Polish researchers of teachers' attitudes towards inclusive education have not yet had a validity and reliable tool that could be successfully used in scientific research. The aim of the article is to present the adaptation and validation of the Multidimensional Attitude towards Inclusive Education Scale. A total of 556 teachers of all levels of education participated in the study, who completed the Polish version of the Multidimensional Attitudes towards Inclusive Education Scale, the Scale of Attitudes towards School Integration of Children with Disabilities, the Norwegian Scale of Teachers' Self-Efficacy and the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support. The factor analysis and the relationships between the variables were performed to confirm the theoretical validity and the scale reliability analysis. The study confirmed the three-factor structure of the Multidimensional Attitudes toward Inclusive Education Scale. The theoretical validity was also confirmed on the basis of positive relationships between the cognitive, affective and behavioral components of the attitude and the sense of self-efficacy, including motivating students and adjusting the program to students' needs, maintaining discipline and cooperation with parents, teaching students and cooperation with colleagues, perceived organizational support. Additionally, there was a positive relationship between the attitude components and a positive attitude to school integration and a negative relationship with a negative attitude to this integration. The reliability of the scale was confirmed in four trials. The article presents a validity and reliable tool for researching teachers' attitudes towards inclusive education, which may be a starting point for research on predictors and the consequences of these attitudes.

Abstract:
The problem of ‘self-attitude — attitude to appearance’ is considered from various perspectives in modern studies, but the issue of the strength of their mutual impact remains unclear. The aim of the study was to determine the relationships between self-attitude and the components of an individual’s attitude to his/her appearance and compare the intensity of their mutual influence. The study considers self-assessments of attractiveness as the component of one’s attitude towards his/her appearance; the impact of one’s attractiveness on his/her social status is considered an indicator emphasizing the influence of the appearance on the individual’s life. The study involved 180 students aged 18—25 years (M age =22); 57% females and 43% males. The following techniques were used: 1) “Self-Attitude Exploration Technique” by S.R. Panteleyev; integral types of self-attitude are considered: ‘Self-respect’, ‘Autosympathy’, ‘Inner Turmoil /Stability’; 2) scales developed by V.A. Labunskaya: self-assessments of attractiveness, assessment of the influence of attractiveness of social status. The comparative analysis of the cross-impact of the factors showed that self-assessments of attractiveness have a greater effect on the types of self-attitudes in students (p≤0,05; 0,00) as compared to the impacts of self-attitude on self-assessments of attractiveness and its influence on social satus.

Abstract:
This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from March to November 2007 at a research and community services center of a Brazilian university. It aimed to explore the knowledge and attitude of people with diabetes mellitus who were attending a diabetes self-care education program. The sample was composed of 82 adults with diabetes mellitus. Data were collected through the Portuguese versions of the Diabetes Knowledge Questionnaire (DKN-A) and the Diabetes Attitude Questionnaire (ATT-19). Results revealed that 78.05% of the participants obtained scores higher than eight on knowledge about diabetes, which indicates they have knowledge and understand the disease. Scores on attitude ranged from 25 to 71 suggesting difficulty in coping with the disease. We conclude that although participants obtained a good score on knowledge, their attitude did not change so as to more adequately cope with the disease.

This study mainly aims to describe and analyze the environmental cares of the 6th class elementary school students in Ruteng. Three attitude components were assessed: cognition, affection, and conation components. A descriptive qualitative research were designed through survey method which involved the 6th grade students as the population from elementary schools in Ruteng. Simple random sampling was employed to determine four elementary schools as samples; those schools were SDK Ruteng 1, SDK Ruteng 3, SDI Wae Ri'i, and SDI Karot. The data were collected through a questionnaire while the data analysis technique was based on Miles and Huberman models which covers reduction, data display, and conclusion / verification. The data were validated in triangulation test, namely: theory triangulation, data triangulation, and expert triangulation. The results of the study showed that the average score of environmental care attitudes of the 6th students’ in Ruteng was 77.81 in a good category. Meanwhile, the average of attitude score components covering the cognition component was 80.3 in the excellent category, affection component was 80.05 in the excellent category, and the conation component was 73.1 in the good category. Based on four elementary school samples, those results were consistently found and the environmental care score on the conation component was lower than the other two components. This indicates that cognitive and affective factors do not necessarily affect on students' conations. Even though the students have awareness (cognition) and feelings (affection) related to the surrounding environmental problems, these are not visible in their daily behavior (conation).

Abstract:
Although attitude represents a multicomponent construct with cognitive, affective, and behavioural components, the concept of attitude has been applied to online shopping settings as a general concept without accentuating its underlying components. As a result, empirical findings reported in the literature regarding the antecedents and outcomes associated with online shopping attitude have been mixed and inconsistent. To provide better insights into online shopping attitude and its constituent dimensions, this study examines the structure of online shopping attitude and focusses on its cognitive, affective, and behavioural components. Moreover, to empirically test and validate the tripartite structure of online shopping attitude, this study examines the effects of website design characteristics on the three components of online shopping attitude. The results provide ample support for the multicomponent structure of online shopping attitude and offer valuable implications for practice and research in online shopping behaviour.

Abstract:
The effects of prior experience and gender stereotyping upon the computer anxiety, confidence and liking of 144 male and female students who had just commenced their studies at university were examined. Males were found to have lower computer anxiety, higher confidence and greater liking than females. When the effects of prior experience and gender stereotyping were removed however, no significant sex difference on these measures remained. The pattern of associations between experience, gender stereotyping variables and computer attitude measures differed for males and females. Greater experience at home was associated with lower anxiety for both sexes, with higher confidence for males and with greater liking for females. The influence of other family members also differed for the two sexes. The attitudes of both males and females were more positive if they had a brother who used computers, but the influence of father's use was positive for males only, while the influence of mother's use was positive for females only. For females but not males, higher scores on the Masculinity scale of the Bern Sex Role Inventory were associated with more positive computer attitudes. The results demonstrate the importance of experience, particularly in a home context, and of gender stereotyping in determining how males and females perceive computers.

Abstract:
Amid many studies investigating language attitudes, very few studies placing their emphasis on attitudes toward bilingualism. This study sets out to examine how Dayak students react toward two languages (i.e. Indonesian and Dayak Language) that have existed in their surrounding for quite a long time. This study was quantitative in nature, despite containing some elements of qualitative data. The study employed questionnaires that consisted of 20 main questions and 1 open-ended question. The questionnaires then were distributed online to 32 Dayak students studying in university with various discipline backgrounds. The results indicate that Dayak students in this study share a positive attitude toward bilingualism, although the rate varies if we investigate the smaller components of the attitudes. It is reported that the students are very positive in a surficial level of attitudes (i.e. cognitive components), yet slightly low in emotional dimensions (i.e. affective components). Further, the students also seem doubtful to implement their belief and feeling into real action, for example in education (i.e. readiness for action). This paper concludes by summarising key findings and acknowledging research limitations, especially concerning with generalisability and participant’s sociolinguistic aspects.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the reasons why Indonesian consumers buy innovative green products (Pertalite RON 90) using CAB attitude theory. This theory assumes that individual behavior (such as the decision to buy) is closely related to how they evaluate decisions of the cognitive, affective and conative aspects. This study was designed to be quantitative. The causal relationship between variables will be examined through questionnaires to be distributed to consumers of Indonesian motor vehicles using gasoline. The findings are expected to provide insight into whether ABC's theory of attitude, popular theory in consumer behavior literature is useful and applicable in explaining why consumers, especially Indonesian petrol consumers buy innovative green products (represented by Pertalite RON 90). From these findings, researchers and practitioners will be able to understand the importance of the cognitive, affective and conative components of the theory of consumer behavior and apply it accordingly. This study is important for the progress of CAB behavior theory through tripartite attitude structure model which consists of attitude stimulus through stimulus used to measure each component of cognitive, affective and conative behavior. The proposed model is intended to identify key concepts that shape attitudes that are useful for predicting outcomes to make accurate predictions using component attitude concepts: Cognitive, Influencing, and Conative (CAB), following tripartite behavioral models (Schiffman and Kanuk, 2004, Solomon, 2002; Breckler, 1984; Rosenberg and Hovland, 1960; Boulding, 1956).

Abstract:
The attitude toward a subject contributes to both academic engagement and success at university, yet it is not routinely measured in undergraduate students. Therefore, in two consecutive introductory courses in Human anatomy and physiology (HAP 1, n= 239, and HAP 2, n=329), an instrument to quantify undergraduate students’ attitude to the subject of physiology (ASPI) was evaluated using exploratory factor analysis (EFA). In both HAP 1 and HAP 2, EFA indicated two latent components – affective (component 1) and cognitive (component 2). Items comprising each component were consistent for both courses, and alpha coefficients >0.7 indicated good internal consistency. Differences in affective attitude and cognitive attitude between HAP 1 and HAP 2 indicated that students had a more negative attitude to physiology in HAP 2. The ASPI may be a useful instrument to quantify affective and cognitive attitude in undergraduates studying physiology, thus complementing routine assessment of academic performance.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the theoretical and empirical research of the relationship between self-attitude and emotional experiences, and the hardiness of the individual. Hardiness is seen as an integral characteristic of personality that has a connection with the individual properties of the individual at every level of the individual. The study involved 147 people of all ages. The following diagnostic methods were used: Stolin-Panteleev self-attitude questionnaire, test "Scale of differential emotions" K. Izard, S. Muddy’s hardiness test (adaptation by D. O. Leontiev, O. I. Raskazova). The analysis of the results of the self-attitude survey showed that the indicator "Global self-attitude" in the subjects is at a high positive level. Components of self-attitude such as "Self-interest" and "Self-understanding" also scored the most points. The research of the emotional sphere showed the presence of different types of emotions, both positive and negative in the emotional life of the subjects. Correlation analysis revealed the existence of a link between self-attitude and emotional experiences. The results of the research of hardiness showed the development of this characteristic within the average values. Correlation analysis (Pearson’s correlation coefficient) showed a high level of correlation between the indicators of self-assessment "Global self-attitude" and "Self-esteem" with hardiness, and also inverse correlations between «Acute negative emotions», «Anxious and depressive emotions» and hardiness. The weakest relationship with hardiness was observed in the scale "Attitude of others". Regression analysis allowed us to build a model that explained the high level of dispersion of hardiness. This model includes components of self-attitude and emotional experiences: "Self-esteem", "Self-interest", «Anxious and depressive emotions», "Attitudes of others", "Self-foam". Among these components, the level of hardiness is most affected by "Self-esteem". Research has shown that there is a link between self-attitude, emotional experiences and hardiness. Also was shown that self-attitude and emotional experiences affects the level of hardiness.

Introduction. The research relevance is due to the need to rethink the influence of young people’s social attitudes on receiving professional engineering education that integrates design, production-technological, organizational-managerial competencies. The research purpose is to characterize social attitudes towards receiving engineering education. Materials and methods. An anonymous online survey developed using the Google Forms online service was attended by 70 high school students from schools Nos. 24, 33 in Kaliningrad. Methods to determine the formation of structural components of the attitude of today’s youth towards receiving engineering education (“Unfinished Sentences”, a modification of the methodology by D. Sachs and S. Levy; a method for measuring the emotional component of an attitude by Crites, Fabrigar and Petty; a scale technique for studying the behavioral component – Likert scale modification) were also used. Such mathematical data processing method as Mann-Whitney U test was used. Research results. A comparative analysis of the results showed differences in the attitudes of young men and women towards receiving engineering education in terms of the manifestation of a cognitive component (in young men – informative and meaningful in nature, in young women – associative and figurative). The diagnostics of a behavioral component of the attitude reflected the readiness to act in favor of engineering education as the predominant type of behavioral readiness. The empirical value of the Mann-Whitney U test criterion is greater than the critical one (499.5>471), the differences in the level of the feature in the compared groups are not statistically significant (p>0.05). The results of diagnostics of the emotional component showed negative emotions in high school students (one-fifth of the respondents) towards receiving engineering education, while no significant differences in the attitudes of young men and women were found. Conclusions. The results obtained make it possible to identify a number of problematic cognitive features in young people’s attitudes. The functionality of a regional resource center, as a scientific and educational cluster, allows forming adequate social attitudes towards receiving engineering education among young people.

Abstract:
The article deals with the categories of competency as the ability to apply knowledge, skills and personal qualities for successful and future professional activities and students’ professional-subjective attitude as an integrative personality trait, manifested in the willingness to master professional experience and based on the independent development of professional and personal qualities through initiative inclusion in creative professionally oriented activities. The formation of a professional-subjective attitude provides the basis for the development of professional competencies, which, in turn, are the key goal and the result of the educational process. The paper proposes a model for the formation of the professional-subjective attitude of the medical university students. The motivational, cognitive, professional-practical and professional-medical components are distinguished. The motivational component includes the motivation of a student to learn, to get a profession, to form a professional-subjective attitude and also involves self-estimation of the attitude by the student himself. The cognitive component considers the process of forming a professional-subjective attitude in the student’s educational activity (moreover, this process is conscious). The professional-practical component involves the formation of a professional-subjective attitude of students through activities in the educational environment attitude and problems solving.

Abstract:
This paper attempts to provide an up-to-date depiction and analysis of the consumer’s attitude towards sustainability of fast fashion products in the UK. Four related strands of literature are reviewed to establish a tri-component model of attitude (ABC), i.e., Affective, Behavioural and Cognitive. A wide set of determinants for attitude is identified, including income, price, gender, culture, religion, age, etc. Based on this conceptual framework, an online questionnaire is designed and sent to university students and alumni in the UK, returning 128 valid responses. Both descriptive statistics and regression analysis (oprobit) are employed to shed light on the three components of attitude towards sustainability. It is found that cognitive and behavioural components converge across cultures and religions, but the affective component remains significantly diverse. Employment status contributes to the awareness, decision and feeling of sustainability features, but gender only matters for purchase decisions. In general, there is an improved cognitive and affective awareness of sustainability, but this does not automatically translate to purchase behaviour. Policy interventions like taxes and subsidies are still needed to foster sustainability in the fast fashion industry.

Abstract:
A survey form that assesses components of attitude thought to be relevant to success in a program for mathematically talented youth was administered to program participants on four occasions over a 2-year period. The reliabilities of the attitude scales and the pattem of correlations among the scales were quite similar for boys and girls who applied for the program. Among those who were selected for the program, boys showed a significantly higher level of motivation, confidence, and interest in mathematics than did girls. Over the first 2 years in the program, both boys and girls exhibited significant declines in attitudes on most scales,

Abstract:
The article substantiates the factors of self-attitude of persons with different attitudes to the physical “Iˮ. The study involved 80 people – students of economic and psychological fields of training, 52 girls and 28 boys. The average age is 19.7 years. Existence of differences in the self-attitude of young men and girls to their physical “Iˮ is proved – young men are more positive about their physical “Iˮ, are characterised by a higher level of self-attitude, than girls. It is proved that the indicators of self-attitude and attitude to one's physical self are closely interrelated in female students. The study was conducted using theoretical analysis, as well as methods – the test questionnaire “Self-relationsˮ by Vladimir Stolin and Sergey Panteleyev; the methodology “Self-relation to the image of the physical Selfˮ by Anna Cherkashina; the questionnaire “Evaluative content interpretation of the components of the external appearance by Vera Labunskaya and Yelena Belugina; as well as the method of associative experiment. Statistical methods of data processing – nonparametric measures (Mann-Whitney U test, Wilcoxon signed-rank test, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient) – were used. The results showed that women's attitudes about themselves are based on attitudes about their physical “Self” (face, body, clothing, physical appearance). The results of the study can be used in psychological counselling for people with different attitudes towards the physical “Self”.
