Abstract:
The article explores the features of the interpretation of the concept of the competitiveness of enterprises by modern domestic and foreign economists. The directions of increasing the competitiveness of enterprises in modern conditions are justified, namely: innovative development of enterprises based on internal and external growth reserves and investment support for the comprehensive development of enterprises. The relationship between the investment and innovation components of enterprise development and their competitiveness under market conditions is determined. The implementation of these areas will contribute to improving the efficiency of the operation of the enterprise, improving its performance. Simultaneous combination of the use of these areas will increase the competitiveness of enterprises at the regional level and the level of the state as a whole. In the process of studying the competitiveness of modern enterprises, emphasis is placed on the regional aspect of their functioning. It is determined that in order to increase the competitiveness of enterprises, it is necessary to take into account the limitations and type of the market on which the enterprise operates. The main tools of the theory of restrictions are the passage, investment and operating costs of the enterprise. The management of these tools at the enterprise will increase the profitability and productivity of the enterprise and as a result - will increase the level of competitiveness of the enterprise in the conditions of market change.

Modern society does not stand still, every day it progresses, this can be explained by the fact that at each stage of its development, new grandiose discoveries in the field of science appear. This is due to the fact that new technologies, equipment, and highly specialized personnel are appearing in production, which make every effort to produce high-quality products that meet the needs of consumers. Of course, a quality product pleases not only consumers, but also entrepreneurs themselves because their product is competitive. With the advent of new methods, the latest technologies led to the appearance of new products that were distinguished by high quality, convenience and quality. These parameters are the basis in the terminology of the enterprise competitiveness system. In fact, in many respects, quality, packaging, price, brand, comfort of the product plays an important role in the production of this product and meet the consumer's needs, and developed a strategy firms use various methods for developing business processes will play in the future prospects of the organization. With the transition to a market economy, improving and developing the competitiveness of goods is currently an urgent problem, as well as the most important marketing task of enterprises, since this complex category examines the main production, commercial, non-commercial, socio-economic and financial performance of the organization, the quality of labor.

Abstract:
The paper examines the peculiarities of the functioning of enterprises in the service sector, on the basis of which the model of the organizational and economic mechanism of managing the competitiveness of the enterprise is elaborated. Having analyzed and systematized various author’s approaches to the understanding of the concept: "Organizational and economic mechanism for managing the competitiveness of an enterprise" it was determined that the management of the competitiveness of enterprises in the service sector is a set of strategic and tactical measures aimed at increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the enterprise in the conditions of market competition. It hasd been proved that this process includes the analysis of the internal and external environment, the development of strategies, the implementation of innovations, the optimization of business processes, as well as the provision of high quality services and the satisfaction of customer needs. The essence of the organizational and economic mechanism is determined as a set of principles of systematicity, accounting for the specifics of activity, target orientation, information support, comprehensive assessment of factors, use of modern technologies and tools. Mandatory elements of any organizational and economic mechanism underlie the elaboration of a model of the organizational and economic mechanism for managing the competitiveness of the enterprise. It is argued that the effectiveness of the enterprise competitiveness management mechanism consists in presenting the input and output components of the enterprise competitiveness management system in order to analyze results such as profitability, profit, sales volume, high quality of services, market share, customer loyalty, customer satisfaction. The main components of the organizational and economic mechanism of competitiveness management are substantiated, such as: management goals, management factors, organizational management structure, resources, influence methods. Given that the ways of further formation and use of the organizational and economic mechanism of managing the competitiveness of the enterprise are proposed.

Abstract:
The subject of the study is the theoretical basis of competitiveness of tourist enterprises. The purpose of the study is to clarify the concept of «competitiveness» by distinguishing its essential characteristics. Research methods. In this work the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, the method of analysis and synthesis, the comparative method, the method of data generalization are used. Results of work. The article outlines the essential characteristics of the concept of competitiveness. The components of competitive development are outlined, namely: «competitive advantage – competitiveness». Conclusions. The study of the categories – components of competitive development «competitive advantage – competitiveness» allows us to find out its homogeneity (uniformity in its essence), whose components build a hierarchy: from formation (competitiveness), its realization (competitiveness) to the possibility of retaining the achieved results (competitive stability). The competitive stability of the enterprise in its essence characterizes the ability of the enterprise to function effectively over a long period of time in conditions of severe competition under the influence of factors of the external and internal environment, both negative and positive. The competitive stability of the enterprise must be considered, taking into account the features, areas and branches of its functioning.

Abstract:
Under the conditions of intense competitive struggle, integrated assessment methods are gaining increasingly greater importance in the processes of information and analytical support of enterprise development management. Enterprise competitiveness is one of the most universal, and, consequently, methodological and applied features among such generalizing characteristics. However, almost all of the approaches used are characterized by both significant advantages and certain disadvantages as of the date. This study develops a system of information and analytical support for managing enterprise competitiveness in the market of fast moving consumer goods, where competition is near the highest. The author's approach for assessing the competitiveness status of enterprises is developed. For this purpose, a system of indicators is determined, which reveal comprehensively and systematically the main parameters of competitiveness according to its structural components, or subsystems: (1) personnel, (2) property, (3) commodity, (4) organizational. The peculiarity of the approach includes the combination of the method of enterprise position rating in the market, and expert survey, which ends with presentation of the results using the graphical method. Summarizing approbation of the developed methodological approach to the assessment of enterprise competitiveness status, the results allow to allocate the leader enterprises, enterprises of average level of competitiveness, enterprises of attack zones and lost opportunities, and outsider enterprises are obtained. The results include the possibility of implementing a new better and more comprehensive approach for analyzing the status of competitiveness of competing enterprises, which serves as a significant information and analytical basis for policy planning to strengthen the competitive position of businesses for the consumer goods market.

Abstract:
The article examines the essence of forming competitive advantages of enterprise due to innovative development and management of innovation potential. The factors that influence the level of competitiveness of enterprise are determined. Ensuring competitiveness involves the systematization of all factors that impact it and their further analysis in the context of a separate enterprise. The priority is the allocation of direct action factors that form competitive advantages and, accordingly, the competitiveness of the enterprise. The main principles of innovative enterprise management should be: constant forecasting of the situation in the market of capital, goods and services, planning of actions and anticipation of crisis circumstances; avoidance of technological lagging and, as a result, its prevention; systematic implementation of innovations in all, including the interrelated, spheres of activity of enterprise; continuous investment in human capital, innovations; gaining competitive advantages. It is determined that competitive advantages are the result of interaction of enterprise resources, without which enterprise cannot form its competitiveness. In the system of competitive advantages, it is important to allocate those that are the basis of the advantages of the enterprise as a whole. Ensuring sustainable competitive positions of enterprise should be implemented within the framework of the mechanism of management of its competitiveness, which is a system of instruments, methods, levers and incentives used to form and maintain competitive advantages. The instruments of such management are means to influence the economic activity of enterprise, namely: financial, economic, organizational and technological components. The author suggests the main directions of increasing the competitiveness of enterprises on the basis of innovative management and development. Novel technologies have been identified, the implementation of which will increase the competitiveness of enterprise. The main directions of strengthening the position of enterprises in the market should be cost management, ensuring the innovative and balanced development, substantiation and introduction of the latest technologies.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to developing the theoretical foundations of the essence of the international competitiveness of enterprise through the generalization of approaches to its structure and factors of development, as well as the generalization of methodical approaches to its evaluation. It is determined that the competitiveness of an enterprise is a systemic characteristic of its ability to create competitive advantages that ensure the production of competitive products. The peculiarity of international competitiveness lies in the ability to generate competitive advantages for the external global market, which is often much more complex than the national market and requires a more careful approach to management. Based on the development of this assertion, it is determined that the best approach to identifying the structure of an enterprise's competitiveness in the international market is to allocate internal components that form the strategic potential and ensure the creation of final products. It is determined that these components cover research and development, supply, production and packaging, and management subsystems, including logistics, marketing, sales, finance, and personnel management. The classification of methods for assessing the international competitiveness of enterprise has been generalized, which has made it possible to determine that for a more complete and accurate assessment of the competitiveness of enterprise, an approach that evaluates the system parameters of its functioning, including market share and other complex criteria, should be used. It is substantiated that the factors of international competitiveness of enterprise are divided into external and internal. It is proved that external factors include macroeconomic, sectoral, and global economic factors, which are determined by the policy of the State, global market conditions, and the activities of international institutions. Internal factors are considered through the prism of creating added value, including subsystems and structural elements of the enterprise. Keywords: competition, the structure of competitiveness, the international competitiveness of the enterprise, factors of development, methods of evaluation.

Это позволило улучшить позиции предприятия по отдельным составляющим и соответственно обеспечить более высокий уровень конкурентоспособности.<br>The dissertation is devoted to the study of the competitiveness of enterprises on the basis of its components, the development of theoretical-methodological approach to the evaluation, as well as the allocation of vitality as a background of competitiveness of enterprises. Based on a critical and analytical research of essence of the concepts of «competitiveness», «sustainability», «components of competitiveness», the main approaches to the classification of components of existing methods to assess the level of competitiveness of the enterprise, an algorithm for measuring the competitiveness of the enterprise was developed on the basis of its organizational and economic components through the consistent use of multivariate statistical methods, in particular: the taxonomic method, the method of principal components and method nonmetric multidimensional scaling. Proposed scientific and methodological approach to the evaluation of competitiveness of the enterprise on the basis of the business components has passed approbation on the basis of milk-processing enterprises of Odessa and Mykolaiv regions.

Abstract:
Executive Summary This report uses modified physics and the basic business relationship equations to describe the business system. The physics - business equations are derived using conformal mapping, while thermodynamic and kinematic relationships are further developed and related before being applied to a business situation. The system developed has general applicability to business and can be used for strategic competitive positioning, amongst other postulated uses. The main purpose of this project is to build on existing work in the area of process modeling and strategy formulation to define a quantitative management tool that will effectively enable the formulation of a generic framework, to measure the effects of various strategic options using time based financial management and physics models. The main aims of this research project are to provide an evaluative summary of the existing literature on the applications of process modeling and physics to business limited in scope to competitive strategic planning through a literature review of existing business models and the subsequent development of a mathematical model based on kinematics and thermodynamics for strategic formulation. From the literature review derive a mathematical framework relating business and physics based on an indirect relationship of physical laws to business models based on existing knowledge. Further explain why the derived model has applications to business, and derive a non-rigorous mathematical proof thereof. From these equations make recommendations on how this model can be utilised as a tool to assist in strategy formulation. Thereafter provide statistical proof that the model is applicable to a defined set of companies and show by means of applications how to determine optimal strategies using the model. The main objectives of the research project are to utilise the quantitative tool to determine where a company is, and where it should position itself in future to optimise its competitive position. Further, the framework must be developed into a strategic tool that would allow for the fast turnaround in the implementation of strategy, and the ability to quickly predict necessary changes in direction. The statistical hypothesis tested asks if it is possible to relate the laws of physics to business and use the resultant mathematical framework to analyse a firm’s competitive position in an industry and position it accordingly. From the derived equations a mathematical model to determine strategic options for a firm using time based financial accounting principles and physics equations can be formulated and used to find profitable options for a firm. By implication the model can be applied to strategic positioning of the firm. Unfortunately there is no work in the literature reviews to build this study on and much of it is built from first principles. This leads to complex mathematical relationships, which may prove difficult to follow. .

This thesis is focused around work toward creating a global, high-level information and material value stream map for a specified pipe assembly. It identifies the largest areas of waste in the value stream and their root causes. The recommendations assist with the reduction and elimination of the major time delays, inventory buildups, re-work, excessive processes and other waste in the system. The pipe assembly chosen as the basis for the enterprise value stream map is part of a system, newly developed for the current aircraft carrier. The pipe assembly is representative of other pipe assemblies fabricated in the shipyard, so challenges experienced with the manufacturing and flow of the selected assembly are likely to be seen in many other pipe assemblies in the facility. A large number of assemblies was examined to determine the root causes of delivery problems. The analysis was based on the criticality of the ship need date. The root causes for the late assembly delivery were found to be inadequate material inventory levels in the warehouses, lack of fabrication timeline coordination between fabrication shops, late engineering drawing revisions, underestimated fabrication durations, late supplier delivery, late material purchase order placement, and lost material. Suggestions are provided to improve operational efficiencies by targeting the elimination of these root causes that result in the delay of assembly fabrication. Some include material ordering process reorganization, shop loading variability elimination, fabrication timeline alignment, metric realignment, and rework system prioritization. Recommendations for future work focus are<br>(cont.) concentrated on the control of the stock material inventory levels, alignment of the incentives across the enterprise, and reorganization of the planning processes.<br>by Yuliya M. Gordon, James A. "Defining individual global competitiveness| A mixed methods study of contributing global mind-set components." Thesis, Indiana Institute of Technology, 2014. http://pqdtopen.proquest.com/#viewpdf?dispub=3646235.

Full text
Abstract:
<p>Higher education institutions have been adding global contexts to their mission/vision statements, strategic plans, objectives, and initiatives in an effort to meet the needs of organizations dealing with the phenomenon known as globalization. Phrases such as &ldquo;ensuring our students are globally competitive,&rdquo; &ldquo;international competitiveness,&rdquo; &ldquo;success in a highly competitive global and technological marketplace,&rdquo; &ldquo;global perspective,&rdquo; and &ldquo;global competency&rdquo; are becoming more common within higher education. Organizations are looking to higher education institutions to fill the need of future leaders with the leadership competencies required to manage effectively in a rapidly changing global environment. The purpose of this study was to explore and to better understand the concept of individual global competitiveness from the perspective of academic business and technology professionals from around the world. The study was commissioned to evaluate the eighteen factors extracted from the three theoretical models identified during the literature review process and to determine the importance of these factors to the development of an individual&rsquo;s global competitiveness. The three basic research questions were: 1) How do academic business and technology professionals around the world define the term &ldquo;individual global competitiveness&rdquo;?; 2) What components from the three models are critical to influence, increase, or change an individual&rsquo;s global competitiveness?; 3) What other factors, not represented in the three models, influence, increase, change, and define an individual&rsquo;s global competitiveness? A mixed methods study was conducted, which consisted of an online survey and face-to-face interviews conducted at a conference in Helsinki, Finland. For the qualitative portion of the study, structured interviews were utilized which consisted of ten questions around the eighteen factors identified from the three theoretical models. The analysis of both data sets indicated three overriding factors that emerged during the study as essential to an individual&rsquo;s global competitiveness: communication/language, collaborating/sharing, and adaptability. The results from the research indicate that it takes more than simply having a global mind-set for an individual to be globally competitive, that the ability to communicate, to collaborate, and to be adaptable are even more paramount and therefore need to be embedded into the context, curriculum, and culture of higher education institutions. </p>

Abstract:
The problems of relocation of high-tech enterprises, cargo and people under martial law, as well as optimization of supply of components after changing the location of production, are studied. Logistics planning models are proposed that take into account the risks caused by military actions, disruptions of transport chains and resource shortages. The key stages of relocation are identified: selection of a safe location, adaptation of logistics infrastructure, establishment of new supply channels. Factors affecting the supply of components are analyzed, in particular the availability of transport corridors, ensuring the stability of supplies and minimizing transportation costs. It is determined that effective modeling of relocation processes and supply logistics is an important factor for maintaining the competitiveness and stability of high-tech enterprises during crisis situations.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of the role and significance of the financial strategy in the formation of the overall strategy of the enterprise. The principles and factors of the financial strategy of the enterprise are revealed. The financial strategy provides for the definition of long-term goals of financial activity and the choice of the most effective ways to achieve them. It is with the help of the optimally chosen financial strategy, the company gets the opportunity to successfully operate in the market and adapt to market conditions. Thus, the need to develop a financial strategy is that it includes methods and practices of formation of financial resources, their planning and ensuring the stabilization and financial stability of the enterprise in the competitive market conditions of functioning. The success of financial strategy of the enterprise is guaranteed when strategic financial goals meet the real economic and financial capabilities of the enterprise, when financial management is clearly centralized, and management tools are flexible and adequate to changes in the real financial - economic situation. Implementation of financial strategy as an information product of management in the form of decisions, plans, programs is not the main goal of functioning of an enterprise.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to consideration of issues related to ensuring the existence of business as such and creating conditions for its sustainable development in the future in the circumstances of the worsening of the crisis in the economic and political relations of the external environment of business as a whole, and the implementation of business activities in the conditions of martial law in Ukraine, in particular. The significant complication of conditions not only for business existence, but also the possibility of ensuring its sustainable development require special attention to be paid to the economic and social components of sustainable business existence and development. The economic component of a sustainable business in such conditions requires the improvement of operational activities through the wide implementation of a management concept that would ensure the long-term competitiveness of the enterprise without significant capital investments and current costs based on the economical use of resources based on the creation of effective relationships both between the work performers and between counterparties of the enterprise. An example of such an approach can be the production and management system "lean production". The social component of sustainable business in such conditions requires the formation of a socially responsible attitude to the organization of business activities and the social policy of business, which is associated with a number of contradictions and even certain conflicts of interests. In the current conditions, special attention must be paid to the definition of the approach to the implementation of this or that concept of the implementation of business activities as a socially responsible business, as well as to the relationship between the internal and external social policy of the business and their practical implementation depending on the current situation.

Abstract:
At the enterprise level, manufacturing organizations are faced with accelerating technological cycles, global competition and an increasingly mobile work force. The flexibility of the enterprise and its ability to respond to various customer demands governs the competitiveness of the enterprise to the changes in its market and in the society in which it operates. It has been recognized for many years that flexibility on the enterprise floor can always be achieved if the resulting cost of product and process changeovers and its operations are not considered. However, with the increasing competitive pressures on today’s manufacturing enterprise, a flexible-manufacturing environment must be achieved at relatively low cost and high work-force productivity while maintaining a competitive advantage. To accomplish this goal, the manufacturing enterprise must be able to be reconfigured and verified with an increased level of automation that is scalable and flexible to meet diverse product demands quickly and economically. In this paper, we will introduce the recent research work on developing an integrated rapid prototyping environment, EMBench [22, 23], which can provide design, control configuration, simulation and deployment services for flexible manufacturing systems. This rapid prototyping environment has its own user-friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface) that allows user to issue various commands to the controller at different layers, from the simple joint servo to the complex manufacturing cell. In this paper, we also propose the implementation diagram for the controller of manufacturing cells that consists of scheduler, dispatcher, real-time database and structural control policy. All these internal components are responsible for storing system configuration, optimizing processing plan, releasing appropriate command, etc. We also present the idea of cell model and explore its characteristics and behaviors as well as the resource and workstation models. All above modules and architecture are developed using IEC-61499 function blocks that support scalable expansion and modular design. To demonstrate our theoretical achievements, we have developed various IEC-61499 function blocks to integrate various resources on the enterprise shop floor and achieve flexibility at a low cost. This software environment facilitates a modular, component-based mechanical and control design, simulating and prototyping tool for shop floor control.

We examine the innovation and competitiveness of firms, especially with regard to the channels of technology transfer and the nature of innovation activities that influence firm performance in Cambodia's economy. Despite the growing importance of innovation, there has been no empirical analysis of the factors affecting technological and innovative development and the impact that these factors have on firms’ productivity in Cambodia. We use the World Bank Enterprise Survey for Cambodian enterprises for our empirical implementation. The results of the research indicate that overseas linkages that include both upstream and downstream activities could affect productivity growth at both firm and industry levels. We also find that technology and innovation have a positive impact on the productivity of firms in Cambodia.

Abstract:
This study presents a baseline survey for the Rural Agro-enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development and Growth (RAPID-Growth) project implemented by the Department of Trade and Industry. Operating in six regions of Mindanao and Region VIII, the project focuses on key value chains, including cacao, coconut, coffee, and processed fruits and nuts. The study delves into the current conditions of smallholder farming households and farmer organizations (FOs), complementing another PIDS study on matching grants as a strategy for enterprise development (Umlas and Briones 2023). Utilizing quantitative impact and process evaluation, the research undertakes the first step toward assessing program effects and understanding program implementation. Survey key findings underscore the alignment of the treatment group with project selection criteria, particularly from high-poverty municipalities and vulnerable groups. Some differences between the treatment and control groups are already evident in terms of income sources, economic enterprise participation, and credit access, which needs to be carefully considered when isolating project impact at the endline. The enterprise profiling reveals that most involved FOs are larger entities with over 200 members, operating for 0–9 years, and comprising cooperatives, corporations, and worker associations. Despite challenges, such as the absence of a robust M&amp;E system, the process evaluation highlights positive aspects, including the effectiveness of the matching grant scheme, FO empowerment, FO capacity development, and private sector involvement. Finally, baseline study recommendations relate to expediting project completion, reconsidering certain project components, and enhancing technical assistance to FOs.

Abstract:
Software security remains a top priority for every enterprise, industry, and government around the world. A fundamental step in securing a software supply chain is the ability to certify that the different software components being used are secure, but this can be challenging to adequately address. A Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) is an inventory of the entire constituent software components within a system that is used to enhance transparency, license compliance, and security within software supply chains. This report gives an overview of the history of SBOMs, the legislative context that surrounds them, and the work that the Linux Foundation's SPDX project has done to standardize this critical tool.
