Abstract:
Love is something that everyone may have. Even love is the right of every human being in the world so that everyone has the right to love and be loved by others. Generally love is a form of emotion that contains attraction, sexual desire, and attention to someone. This shows that love has several components in it including intimacy, passion, and commitment. This research is focused on analyzing love experiences by using the triangular theory of love by Sternberg on some of the characters in the novel Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. This research used a descriptive qualitative method and used Sternberg's theory to analyze the experience of love in the breaking dawn novel. The result of this research has three components in love including intimacy, passion, and commitment. Keywords: Love, Triangular of Love, Intimacy, Passion, Commitment

Love is a phenomenal force that activates almost all the living beings in the planet earth. Lover is colour blind, race blind as well as gender blind. Robert Sternberg developed the Triangular theory of love to show the components in which it is composed of. The theory is applied to same sex love couple Achilles and Patroclus in Madeline Miller’s The Song of Achilles. This paper shows that the love between Achilles and Patroclus is beyond gender and they comprises Sternberg’s all three- passion, intimacy and commitment until their death.

Abstract:
sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love was examined to identify the structure of the psyche implied in that theory. Sternberg's theory posits three components of human functioning to explain the phenomenon of love in close relationships: intimacy, passion, and commitment. Analysis of these three components indicates that they align with a neoclassical model of the human psyche. A neoclassical psyche consists of at least three fundamental, irreducible capacities: cognition, affect, and conation. Sternberg's commitment component relies on the capacity for cognition (and conation), the passion component is derived from conation (and affect), and the intimacy component is derived from emotional investment or the capacity for affect (and cognition). Therefore, Sternberg's overall Triangular Theory of Love ontologically presupposes a neoclassical structure to the psyche.

Love is an indispensable part of human life, and this study specifically investigated the expression of feeling loved. This study aims to explore the association between couples’ feeling loved and different components of wellbeing. We constructed a continuous rating scale to measure couples’ feeling loved and its contribution toward life satisfaction and positive affect. There were 252 couples participated in this study. To examine the measurement’s consistency, this study compared the continuous rating scale of feeling loved with its Likert scale and rating scale counterpart. This study also investigated the role of feeling loved towards the scores of positive affect and life satisfaction as the components of wellbeing. Actor partner interdependence model and linear regression results showed that feeling loved was positively contributed to life satisfaction and positive affect; however, there was no significant interactive effect within partner. This study suggested feeling loved influenced wellbeing, although other predictors may play more prominent roles in determining wellbeing.

Abstract:
Abstract: Irony can happen anywhere, especially when it comes to love. Love can be seen as a human perception in looking at life and the world. Love has many forms. The ideal form of partner love is Companionate Love. Based on the opinion of Sternberg (1998), to determine the form of love required three components, namely, intimacy, passion, and commitment. After the three components are properly fulfilled, Companionate Love as an ideal love can be formed. This article uses a descriptive-qualitative method. The purpose of this study is to explore more about the irony of love in the poems Tanya Sinta, 3 and Sinta Gugat, 2 with a focus on the character of Sinta. Review of analysis and interpretation of this study using components of intimacy, arousal components, and components of commitment according to Sternberg's psychological theory of love in Triangular Theory of Love (1998). The results showed that the love that Sinta had for Rama was not an ideal love. Sinta shows love in the form of Infatuated Love, which then turns into Fatuous Love so that it fails to form Companionate Love or ideal love. This is because the relationship between Sita and Rama does not fulfill the three components of love. Keywords: irony, love, Sinta, Ramayana.

Abstract:
In the history of any national culture, issues relating to human relationships, such as love and friendship, have always been and still remain of paramount importance. Aspects and the peculiarities of such relationships have always been the cause of misunderstandings among people. The phenomenon of love is still not fully understood. Therefore, the article explores the conceptual aspect of the love notion in English, the means of its verbalization and its main components. The love concept, which is verbalized by the means of contemporary English, is defined as a certain abstract unit that reproduces the centuries-old experience of the people in the form of various notions about this feeling. Love as a complex phenomenon of various spheres of human life has a high status in many disciplines of different cycles, therefore the study of this notion is relevant not only in lexicology or linguistics, but also in philosophy, ethics, sociology, and other sciences. Various linguistic means for representation of love in English have been studied and the main components of this notion have been identified. The main components of the notion of love have been defined, the expression of the notion in psychological texts has been analyzed, and duality as a conceptual feature of love has been described. Verbalized ideas about the inner world of a person who is the bearer of a particular culture have been considered. The notion of love has been investigated precisely from the linguistic side, also because the culture of love in the European space is primarily a verbal culture, which is closely linked to its verbal expression. There is every reason to believe that love is understood as one of the main aspects of human life and is recognized as one of the primary factors in human relationships, which is reflected in the language conceptualization. Thus, the conducted analysis allowed to reveal the versatility and multi-component character of the notion of love in the English language.

Abstract:
The research is concerned with types of love faced by Tara Dupont, the main character of the novel Autumn in Paris, written by Ilana Tan. The types of love: friendship, infatuated love, romantic love and consummate love are the main focus of the study. The objective is to find out how Tara Dupont implements the types of love in relationship with people around her. One of the theories used in the research is Robert Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love which states that love has three components: intimacy, passion and commitment and these three components are to be applied to obtain or run real love. Qualitative descriptive method is applied for the whole analysis. The finding shows that types of love are found in the novel Autumn in Paris. Friendship appears in a relationship between Tara, Sebastien and Tatsuya. Romantic love and infatuated love are the dominant types of love and consummate love is the rarest.

Abstract:
This study constituted an analysis of an ideal marriage in the novel published in 2018. The significant components of the marriage relationship found in the novel that could be categorized into an ideal marriage were the topics to discuss. One of the significant theories of an ideal marriage used in this study was A Triangular of Love that appears in three significant components: intimacy, passion and commitment that reflected the subjective experience. Intimacy could be considered the warm component because it encompassed the feeling of comfort and tenderness in a relationship. Then, passion consisted of motivational and was considered the hot component, in that it usually included the most intense feeling. Finally, commitment involved deliberate choice to love someone and to maintain that love. It was considered the cold component (Sternberg: 1986). The research was conducted by descriptive qualitative method. The research results showed that the three points of an ideal marriage in the novel, i.e. intimacy, passion, and commitment were clearly reflected by the major characters in the novel.

Abstract:
Multichannel analysis of Love waves (MALW) analyzes high-frequency Love waves to determine near-surface S-wave velocities, and it is getting increasing attention in the near-surface geophysics and geotechnique community. Based on 2D geometry spread, in which sources and receivers are placed along the same line, current MALW fails to work in a 3D seismic acquisition system. This is because Love-wave particle motion direction is perpendicular to its propagation direction, which makes it difficult to record a Love-wave signal in 3D geometries. We have developed a method to perform MALW with data acquired in 3D geometry. We recorded two orthogonal horizontal components (inline and crossline components) at each receiver point at the same time. By transforming the raw data from rectangular coordinates (inline and crossline components) to radial-transverse coordinates (radial and transverse components), we recovered Love-wave data along the transverse direction at each receiver point. To achieve a Love-wave dispersion curve, the recovered Love-wave data were first transformed into a conventional receiver offset domain, and then transformed into the frequency-velocity ([Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text]) domain. Love-wave dispersion curves were picked along the continuous dispersive energy peaks in the [Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text] domain. The validity of our proposed method was verified by two synthetic tests and a real-world example.

Abstract:
This study investigated perceptions of love across the lifespan using Sternberg’s triangular theory of love, which distinguishes between passion, intimacy, and commitment. The study aimed to (a) investigate the psychometric properties of the short Triangular Love Scale (TLS-short) in adolescents and adults (see Appendix), and (b) track age and gender differences in the three love components of the TLS-short in a sample of 12- to 88-year-olds (N = 2791). The three-factor structure of the TLS-short was confirmed in both the adolescent and adult sample. Adolescents (12–17 years) reported lower levels of all love components compared to young adults (18–30 years). Late adults (50+) reported lower levels of passion and intimacy, but similar levels of commitment compared to young (18–30 years) and middle adults (30–50 years). Gender differences in the perceptions of all three love components were present but less sizeable than suggested in popular accounts and earlier academic research.

Abstract:
In the middle years of marriage, marital satisfaction tends to decline, particularly among wives because of their caregiving roles for children and parents (transgenerational squeeze), and because their husbands focus more on their work. This may weaken love despite that love can provide happiness and lead to marital satisfaction. This study examined the relationships between love and marital satisfaction and determined which components of love that had the highest correlation with marital satisfaction. Data collected using questionnaires. Results showed that love had a positive relationship with wives’ marital satisfaction in the middle years of marriage (p < .001). The components of love having significant relationships with marital satisfaction from the highest to the lowest correlation were intimacy, commitment, and passion.

Full text
Abstract:
SUMMARY Secondary microseisms are ubiquitous ambient noise vibrations due to ocean activity, dominating worldwide seismographic records at seismic periods between 3 and 10 s. Their origin is a heterogeneous distribution of pressure fluctuations along the ocean surface. In spherically symmetric earth models, no Love surface waves are generated by such a distributed surface source. We present global-scale modelling of three-component secondary microseisms using a spectral-element method, which naturally accounts for a realistic distribution of surface sources, topography and bathymetry, and 3-D heterogeneity in Earth’s crust and mantle. Seismic Love waves emerge naturally once the system reaches steady state. The ergodic origin of Love waves allows us to model the horizontal components of secondary microseisms for the first time. Love waves mostly originate from the interaction of the seismic wavefield with heterogeneous Earth structure in which the mantle plays an important role despite the short periods involved. Bathymetry beneath the source region produces weak horizontal forces that are responsible for a weak and diffuse Love wavefield. The effect of bathymetric force splitting into radial and horizontal components is overall negligible when compared to the effect of 3-D heterogeneity. However, we observe small and well-focused Love-wave arrivals at seismographic stations in Europe due to force splitting at the steepest portion of the North Atlantic Ridge and the ocean–continent boundary. The location of the sources of Love waves is seasonal at periods shorter than about 7 s, while seasonality is lost at the longer periods. Sources of Rayleigh and Love waves from the same storm may be located very far away, indicating that energy equipartitioning might not hold in the secondary microseism period band.

Full text
Abstract:
SUMMARY The spatial autocorrelation (SPAC) method has been applied to ambient seismic noise measured by arrays of translational seismometers for inverting phase-velocity dispersion curves of Rayleigh or Love waves for shallow S-wave velocity structure. Recently, it is becoming possible to observe wave spatial gradients such as strain, rotation and tilt owing to the development of dense seismic networks and improving measurement technologies. Therefore, it is desirable to extend the formulation of the SPAC method to strain, rotation and tilt. This study presents analytical expressions of cross-spectra and coherence of the strain, rotation and tilt components that are measured on the free surface. According to the results, both Rayleigh and Love waves contribute to most components of strains. The exceptions are the areal strain and the vertical axial strain (ezz) on the free surface that are affected by only Rayleigh waves. Only Rayleigh waves contribute to the tilts and rotations around the horizontal axes on the free surface, too. On the other hand, only Love waves contribute to the rotation around the vertical axis. Therefore, different kinds of wave spatial gradients are helpful to separate Rayleigh and Love waves correctly. For practical applications, the analytical expression for the radial axial strain (err) component will be applied directly to distributed acoustic sensing data measured with straight sections of a fibre-optic cable. On the other hand, dense observations of rotation and tilt may still be difficult to carry out at present. However, an application of analytical formulations in this study to arrays of at least several three-component rotational seismometers is attractive because it enables us to separately estimate the phase velocities of Rayleigh and Love waves.

In this article, I weave together connections between notions of decoloniality and love while considering implications for decolonial praxis by racialized people settled on Indigenous lands. Through a community-based research project exploring land and body sovereignty in settler contexts, I engaged with Indigenous and racialized girls, young women, 2-Spirit, and queer-identified young adults to create artwork and land-based expressions of resistance, resurgence, and wellbeing focusing on decolonial love. Building on literature from Indigenous, decolonizing, feminist, and post-colonial studies, I unpack the ways in which decolonial love is constructed and engaged in by young Indigenous and racialized people as they navigate experiences of racism, sexism, cultural assimilation, and other intersecting forms of marginalization inherent in colonial rule. I uphold these diverse perspectives as integral components in developing more nuanced and situated understandings of the power of decolonial love in the everyday lives of Indigenous and racialized young peoples and communities.

Abstract:
The problem of revealing the “Declaration of Love” discourse in works of art is considered. The author’s development on the automatic detection of the situation of declaration of love, tested on the material of the work of A. P. Chekhov, is presented. The search was carried out on the basis of the Russian National Corpus. In total, more than 200 texts have been identified containing textual representations of the situation of declaration of love. 40 out of 200 texts are identified by the authors of the article as the most fully representative of the desired situation. The set of textual passages describing it is viewed as a cognitive-discursive set of declarations of love. The development of the algorithm was carried out based on the identification of the cognitive schemes of the writer and the statistical analysis of the lexical composition of the situation of declaration of love. Among the frequency components of the cognitive model, which A. P. Chekhov follows in describing the process of declaring love, an open space filled with plants, birds, etc. was revealed. In the general cognitive-discursive set of declarations of love, the nuclear and satellite zones were identified and analyzed, the lexical components of which belong to certain functional-semantic classes and functional-semantic groups.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between religious involvement and attitudinal (importance of helping others and of being socially active) and behavioral components of prosociality (volunteering, charitable giving, and blood donations) in Germany. Design/methodology/approach The empirical analyses are based on representative, longitudinal data from the German Socio-Economic Panel, which allows avoiding issues of reverse causality. Findings The results suggest for a moderate, positive link between individuals’ religious involvement as measured by church affiliation and church attendance and the prosociality aspects addressed. Despite the historic divide in religion, the results in West and East Germany do not differ substantially in terms of the underlying mechanisms. Originality/value The paper complements the growing literature from experimental economics on the relationship between individuals’ religiosity and their prosociality. Based on representative longitudinal data, it contributes by providing evidence for Germany for which there is barely any insight yet and by addressing a wider range of attitudinal and (self-reported) behavioral components of prosociality.

The previous tests of the Triangular Theory of Love have proven problematic, specifically centered on measurement of the three components of Intimacy, Passion, and Commitment. Factor analysis of a new set of measures for 123 women and 110 men indicated support for three distinct factors. Sex differences indicated that women scored significantly higher on Intimacy and Commitment than men. Components were also significantly related to a measure of Relational Satisfaction. Regression analysis indicated that each component predicted significant variance for scores on Satisfaction.

Abstract:
In the framework of the younger generation patriotic education, a pedagogical task of young peoples patriotic consciousness development is being actualized. It is substantiated that the solution of this task requires clarification of the content of the notion young peoples patriotic consciousness, the meaning of which is understood when its structure and structural components content are revealed. Interpretations of patriotic consciousness are offered. They are proposed by modern Russian scientists who present it as a systemic development with its own structure. Structural components of the patriotic consciousness of youth are determined: a worldview component (knowledge, ideas, and views), an axiological component (values), a behavioral component (value relations). The possibility and necessity of the separation of these components is proved. The choice of specific concepts, values, and value relationships that form the content of the worldview, axiological, and behavioral components of the patriotic consciousness of youth is substantiated. The content of the ideological component of the patriotic consciousness of young people is revealed; it is formed by the knowledge, ideas, views on the concepts of patriotism, love for the Motherland, Motherland, small Motherland, Fatherland, patriot. In the context of understanding patriotism as a complex value represented through a set of values, it is proved that the content of the axiological component of youth patriotic consciousness is developed by the values of loyalty, heroism, pride in the Fatherland, duty, dignity, interest in the history of the Fatherland, culture, love of the country, courage, responsibility, family, tolerance, work, respect, honor. Valuable attitudes to the family, work, the Fatherland, culture are singled out as developing the content of the behavioral component of young peoples patriotic consciousness.

Full text
Abstract:
The I-Love-Q relations are approximate equation-of-state independent relations that connect the moment of inertia, the spin-induced quadrupole moment, and the tidal deformability of neutron stars. In this paper, we study the I-Love-Q relations for superfluid neutron stars for a general relativistic two-fluid model: one fluid being the neutron superfluid and the other a conglomerate of all charged components. We study to what extent the two-fluid dynamics might affect the robustness of the I-Love-Q relations by using a simple two-component polytropic model and a relativistic mean field model with entrainment for the equation-of-state. Our results depend crucially on the spin ratio Ωn/Ωp between the angular velocities of the neutron superfluid and the normal component. We find that the I-Love-Q relations can still be satisfied to high accuracy for superfluid neutron stars as long as the two fluids are nearly co-rotating Ωn/Ωp≈1. However, the deviations from the I-Love-Q relations increase as the spin ratio deviates from unity. In particular, the deviation of the Q-Love relation can be as large as O(10%) if Ωn/Ωp differ from unity by a few tens of percent. As Ωn/Ωp≈1 is expected for realistic neutron stars, our results suggest that the two-fluid dynamics should not affect the accuracy of any gravitational waveform models for neutron star binaries that employ the relation to connect the spin-induced quadrupole moment and the tidal deformability.

Household harmony is a desire that every couple wants to achieve. But in the household problems often occur that can not be overcome, resulting in divorce. The divorce rate in Kupang city itself is relatively large and always increases every year. But love is very instrumental to maintain harmony in a household. Sternberg's theory of love reveals about the three components of love that can be the foundation of harmony in a household, namely the component of intimacy, the component of desire, and the component of commitment. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of Sternberg's love theory in household harmony. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques is an interview. The results of the study, showed that the implementation and impact of Sternberg's love theory in household harmony. Even though in a household do not know clearly what Sternberg's love theory is, but it is implemented by each partner in building and maintaining harmony in the household. In a harmonious household requires intimacy, passion and commitment. These three things are components of the theory of love put forward by Sternberg. But in overcoming any problems that occur in a household also requires God's involvement, so that the problems that occur can be overcome by believing and surrendering to God. Abstrak Keharmonisan rumah tangga adalah suatu keinginan yang ingin dicapai oleh setiap pasangan. The aim of this study was to determine whether women's view of their fathers related to romantic happiness with their boyfriends. Attachment to the father, view of him as powerful, and his rated physical attractiveness were the main questionnaire items pertaining to the women's Oedipus Complex. Their relationships with boyfriends were evaluated in terms of intimacy, passion, and commitment, the three components of love according to Sternberg's triangular theory of love. In 56 romantically involved undergraduate women, significant positive correlations were found between the rated power and attractiveness of the father and the passion and commitment components in these women's relationships with their boyfriends. Low correlations of ratings of intimacy were found only with responses to questions relating to mothers. Ratings of attachment to mothers were greater than attachment to fathers, and 56 romantically involved women had greater present attachment to their mothers than 39 who were not involved. Perhaps mothers influence the intimacy component more and fathers passion and commitment of the daughters.

The Triangular Theory of Love has created much interest among researchers in relational communication. Previous attempts at evaluating the theory have proven problematic. Specifically, the problems centered around the measurement of the theory's three components of intimacy, passion, commitment. Recent research, which employed a new measure, offered support for the theory's primary assumptions. To expand upon this, the current study factor analyzed data from a sample of 213 married individuals. Current results provided support for the triangular theory's primary assumptions. The principal components factor analysis with varimax rotation indicated support for three distinct and reliable factors. The three components were also significantly related to scores for relational satisfaction. Stepwise regression analysis indicated that each component was a significant predictor of relational satisfaction. Men scored significantly higher on intimacy than women.

Abstract:
This research project studies love in Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations through Pip’s ego fluctuations. Freud’s division of the human psyche into the three components of id, ego and superego is applicable to the analysis of the rise and fall of the hero in his quest for Estella’s love. Four main questions have been dealt with: First, what makes up Pip’s id when it comes to love? Second, what are the main components of his superego that stand in the way of his love? Third, does Pip’s ego succeed in striking a balance between his id and superego? In what ways does it fail? And fourth, how does it eventually succeed if ever? The study has managed to answer its key research questions: First, Pip’s id is illustrated in the feelings and actions exerts in order to win Estella’s love. Second, Pip’s superego is mainly made up of the attitudes of characters that stand in his way. Third, Pip’s distress at the attitudes of Estella, Miss Havisham, Biddy and his friends, bring Pip’s ego to its worst situation. Fourth, the quest of Pip’s ego for winning Estella’s heart finally becomes possible mainly thanks to Miss Havisham’s repentance and Estella’s transformation.

Abstract:
The tidal deformability of a self-gravitating object leaves an imprint on the gravitational-wave signal of an inspiral which is paramount to measure the internal structure of the binary components. We unveil here a surprisingly unnoticed effect: in the extreme mass-ratio limit the tidal Love number of the central object (i.e. the quadrupole moment induced by the tidal field of its companion) affects the gravitational waveform at the leading order in the mass ratio. This effect acts as a magnifying glass for the tidal deformability of supermassive objects but was so far neglected, probably because the tidal Love numbers of a black hole (the most natural candidate for a compact supermassive object) are identically zero. We argue that extreme mass-ratio inspirals detectable by the future laser interferometric space antenna (LISA) mission might place constraints on the tidal Love numbers of the central object which are roughly eight orders of magnitude more stringent than current ones on neutron stars, potentially probing all models of black hole mimickers proposed so far.

Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of the concept sphere of Finno-Ugric literature. The subject of the analysis is the concept of love in the lyrics of M. I. Novjukhov. Objective: analysis of the concept of love in the individual author’s picture of the world of the Khanty poet Matvey Ivanovich Novjukhov. Research materials: the works of M. I. Novjukhov included in the book «With Hope For Happiness» (2012). Results and novelty of the research: the article analyzes for the first time the concept of love in the creative work of the Khanty poet. Attention of the work is focused on the presentation of the concept love in the individual author’s picture of the world by M. I. Novjukhov. The study of the author’s poetic heritage has shown that the concept of love is a complex formation consisting of different semantic components. The main meaning of the concept love was determined by the poet’s works with the theme of love. The semantic field of the concept also includes love for mother, love of neighbors, love for the motherland, love for nature, love for the people, and Christian love. The concept was supplemented by romantic and physical love; love that transforms the world; love as the basis of creative inspiration of poets. The concept of love in the works of M. I. Novyukhov is represented by direct nominations of the lexemes «love» and «to love».

Abstract:
This article comprehensively reviews the major components and dimensions of love that researchers operationalized in psychometric scales throughout recent decades. The Quadrangular Love Theory (QLT) synthesizes the achievements of psychometrics of love and demonstrates – theoretically and empirically - that they are grouped in four umbrella love dimensions: Compassion and Affection, which characterize the feelings toward a partner, and Closeness and Commitment, which characterize the feelings regarding a relationship. To test this theory, the authors developed the Quadrangular Love Scale (QLS) and explored its construct validity and psychometric properties in two studies utilizing various samples. Study 1 (N = 592) generally supported convergent and discriminant validities and internal reliability of the four dimensions. Study 2 (N = 584) provided additional support to the discriminant validity of QLS in terms of personality traits as predictors of major love feelings and love attitudes as typological differences of experiencing these feelings.

This article presents a theoretical perspective and a research agenda for the study of the relationship between love and effective conflict management in marriage. Love is conceptualized as virtue. Five virtues, regarded as components of benevolent love, are considered: prudence, temperance, fortitude, justice, and charity. The contribution of each virtue to conflict management is considered in relation to static and process models of marital interaction and in relation to Sorokin's five dimensions of the variation of love. Ideas from symbolic interactionist, exchange, and conflict theories are employed as perspectives in the analysis. Propositions are formulated relating each of the virtues to effective conflict management.

This article analyses the components of love and the stages of a love relationship in relation to the increasingly common phenomenon of divorce in society. The author underlines that the reason of filing for divorce may be the further development of love and – more specifically – the decline of passion and intimacy, of which the spouses may not be aware. Qualitative changes in love surprise the spouses and cause dissatisfaction. The availability and popularity of divorces, in turn, induce the spouses to resort to such tools. According to the author, an increase in the social awareness in this matter could make it possible to avoid many divorce processes.

Abstract:
Love consists of three components, intimacy, passion and decision/commitment (Triangular Theory of Love, Sternberg, 1986); the relative contribution of each to a love relationship is related to its outcomes. Such outcomes are the length or duration of the relationship and the frequency of sexual intercourse or sex in it. We first examined the construct validity and reliability of the components measure, that is of the Greek version of Sternberg’s Triangular Love Scale (STLS); subsequently, we tested if the components were associated in a predictable manner with relationship length and frequency of sexual intercourse in the relationship, thus checking the external validity of the STLS. Participants were 177 male and female University students in dating relationships. They responded to the STLS, and indicated the length of their relationship and the frequency of sexual intercourse in it. Factor Analysis revealed that the STLS had a strong and compatible with theory structure, comprising three factors of high reliability. Consistent with expectation, regression analyses indicated that stronger decision/commitment predicted longer relationships and less frequent sexual intercourse, whereas stronger passion predicted shorter relationship length and more frequent intercourse. Contrary to expectation, intimacy predicted neither relationship length nor frequency of sex. Conclusively, STLS has construct validity and reliability with the Greek population of young people, but its external validity is limited to the components of decision/commitment and passion. Passion consumes fast the duration of dating relationships, as it is manifested through the frequency of sexual intercourse; on the other hand, decision/commitment contributes to the longevity of relationships, while paying the price of reduced frequency in sexual intercourse.

Abstract:
This research focuses on the value-meaning aspect of love in different cultures. In this study, we looked at people from Central African Republic (CAR) and Russia, and tested the hypothesis on how much influence a culture has on the way love is viewed. 50 people from Central African Republic and 50 people from Russia took part in this research. Groups had equal gender representation (25 females and 25 males in each group) and comparable age. As a methodology, we used our questionnaire “Notions about love” and classical associative experiment. Comparative analysis of the data showed that notions of love even in such distant cultures have many more similarities than differences. In both groups (Russia and CAR), the idealization of this feeling (love) prevails. Love is seen as a power that helps people create, grow and overcome obstacles. Another similarity is that both groups associate love with dedication and the meaning of life. Data from the associative experiment confirms this commonality, because in both groups, love is associated with passion, friendship and patience. At the same time, the results of this experiment show that concept of love is ambivalent among the Russians: they associate love not only with positive feelings, but with suffering and selfsacrifice. Russians are more likely to agree with relatively negative statements about love. Notions about love among people from Central African Republic is mostly associated with religion and action-related components.

A sample of 113 men and 143 women completed a battery of tests that included various demographic, individual difference, and relationship-related measures. Results provided support for a love-is-blind bias, in that both women and men rated their romantic partners as significantly more attractive than themselves on overall attractiveness and the attractiveness of various body components. Results also showed that the Big Five personality factor of Extraversion, self-esteem, relationship satisfaction, and romantic love were positively correlated with the love-is-blind bias, whereas relationship length and playful love were negatively correlated with the bias. Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to deal with the role of the human metaphor (anthropomorphism) and consumers’ liking for the humanized version of the brand as antecedents of three key components of brand love: self-brand integration, positive emotional connection and feelings of anticipated separation distress. Design/methodology/approach A sample of 399 consumers provided information about a brand from a stated list of 16 brands of clothing. Findings Both anthropomorphism and consumers’ liking for the humanized brand have positive effects on specific components of brand love. The results confirm that brand anthropomorphism is only desirable when the humanized version of the brand is attractive for consumers. Research limitations/implications A potential shortcoming is the qualitative technique employed to observe anthropomorphic thought. Collecting ratings of anthropomorphic and non-anthropomorphic traits could be viewed as a method more easily applied in market research surveys. Practical implications Managers have to control how consumers imagine the brand as a human entity because it affects brand love. For example, by tracking consumers’ opinions and traits of those people associated with the brand and brand user stereotypes can condition consumers’ imagination of the humanized brand. Originality/value Compared to the limited number of studies about the relationship between anthropomorphism and brand love, this study focuses on the effects of anthropomorphism as a process, and not as a personal trait, on brand love. It also relies on consumers’ imagination instead of brand personification strategies to stimulate anthropomorphism.

Abstract In the French Renaissance, the term ‘anatomical blason’ (blason anatomique) designated a highly descriptive love poem praising a single part of a woman’s body, while in heraldry, the noun ‘blason’ defined the ensemble of ornamental components constituting the shield. Just as the French verb blasonner meant to describe and to interpret the shield’s material and symbolic parts, so could this verb be used in amatory poetry to signify the act of lauding the details of the beloved’s anatomical parts. This study examines the structural analogies between heraldic shield and the anatomical blason, addressing how the technical terms defining the shield’s components such as partitions, points, charges, tinctures, and the achievement could be given analogous expressions in the anatomical love poetry.

Abstract:
Love and relationships are sociocultural constructions that, in recent times, have experienced great changes in terms of type of relationship, type of love and happiness of the couple. Few studies have analysed the love relationships immigrant population in Europe. This study aims to explore the differences and similarities in love styles between Spaniards and Moroccan immigrants, the country’s largest foreign population, and analyse the relationship between these styles and level of couple happiness. This cross-sectional study disseminated a survey to young adults between the ages of 18 and 40 in southern Spain. Of those who received the survey, 574 young adults responded, of which 182 were of Moroccan origin and 392 were Spanish. The results indicated that there are sociocultural and gender differences in the types of relationships young adults maintain and in the agents that facilitate romantic socialisation. The Spaniards describe less stable relationships, more influenced by several agents, while the Moroccans demonstrated more stability in relationships, more influenced by family and religion. In accordance with Sternberg love components, different types of love were recognised. Spanish women are the group most value love in their lives, rated higher in couple happiness, and gave special importance to intimacy (but not to commitment and passion). Moroccan women followed models of love closer to Sternberg's romantic love, giving importance to commitment, intimacy and passion. Spanish men were similar to Moroccan men regarding their type of love, although they were the only ones that included commitment as a predictor of happiness. This study reveals that the importance of an intersectional approach to analyse love and couples.

Abstract:
Abstract Seen from a broad cross-linguistic perspective, the English verb (to) love is quite unusual because it has very broad scope: it can apply to a mother’s love, a husband’s love, a sister’s love, etc. without any restrictions whatsoever; and the same applies to its counterparts in many other European languages. Trying to locate the origins of this phenomenon, I have looked to the Bible. Within the Bible, I have found both continuity and innovation. In the Hebrew Bible, the verb ’āhēb, rendered in the Greek translation of the Old Testament known as the Septuagint with the verb agapao, implies a “preferential love”, e.g. it is used for a favourite wife of a favourite son. In the New Testament, the concept of ‘love’ loses the “preferential” components and thus becomes applicable across the board: between anybody and anybody else. The paper argues that the very broad meaning of verbs like love in English, aimer in French, lieben in German, etc. reflects a shared conceptual heritage of many European languages, with its roots in the New Testament; and it shows that by taking a semantic perspective on these historical developments, and exploring them through the rigorous framework of NSM and Minimal English, we can arrive at clear and verifiable hypotheses about a theme which is of great general interest, regardless of one’s own religious and philosophical views and commitments.

Abstract:
One of the aspects of studying and describing the language personality of a Junior school student, and in dynamics from grade 1 to 4, is the cognitive aspect, which includes the study of the language consciousness of a child of this age, including cultural concepts relevant to the child's language picture of the world («conscience», «soul», «happiness», etc.). The article considers the emotional concept of «love», which is among the basic values of the Russian people, affecting the formation of the meaning of human life. The paper offers a brief lexicographic analysis of the word «love» (data from the philosophical, psychological, and explanatory dictionaries). The following is a description of the results of an experiment conducted among students of grades 2-4 of educational organizations in the city of Voronezh. The analysis of the received materials allows us to distinguish the following components of the concept: 1) a sense of self-sacrificing, heartfelt attachment; 2) the person who inspires this feeling; 3) inclination, addiction to something; 4) moral qualities. Based on the data of a directed associative experiment, the image and value component of the concept "love" in the language consciousness of a younger schoolboy are determined, and the age specificity of this concept is revealed. In addition, as part of the research, children were asked to Express their opinions about love in a free form. Abstract:
Brand love has become an important concept in both the academic and business worlds. There are some studies in the literature conducted on consumers regarding the brand love, but no study focuses on brands that consumers are in love with. Therefore, to analyze how brand love is created and to identify the components of a sustainable brand love, we conducted a qualitative study on the brands that achieved the lovemark status several times in the survey conducted on the consumers in Turkey. We used the categories in the 2019 lovemark survey, a study conducted by Ipsos for MediaCat magazine every year, as the basis, and we evaluated brands that have been selected as lovemarks in their respective categories at least five times. Our study concluded that the brands created brand love through quality in product or service as well as diversity, customer satisfaction, brand trust, innovative products, sincerity, and emotional intimacy, being a solution-oriented brand, as demonstrated in other studies in the literature, and in addition, by creating social responsibility projects, and being accessible. These brands also made brand love sustainable through reliability, service, relevance, stand behind the promise, innovation, brand image, customer satisfaction, a sense of community, customer experience, emotional bond, trust, people-oriented communication strategy, real-life compatible products and services as well as creation of different experiences.
