Abstract:
Abstract In our ongoing phase III randomized trial (NCT03741673) evaluating risk of leptomeningeal disease (LMD) in patients with brain metastasis, patients are stratified by tumor size, location, and histology, and randomized to pre-operative SRS versus post-operative SRS. The primary endpoint is 1-year LMD-free rate, and exploratory endpoints include neurocognitive function (NCF). NCF is assessed prior to treatment and longitudinally (1.5, 6, and 12 months from the start of treatment) with the HVLT-R, TMT, and COWA yielding the Clinical Trial Battery Composite score (CTB COMP). Abstract:
Abstract Background Myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) can result from a variety of pathological mechanisms, not always associated with atherosclerosis. It has been suggested to distinguish between patients without obstructive coronary artery disease (NObs-CAD, stenosis diameter 1-49%), and patients with smooth coronary arteries (NCA), but differences in terms of prognosis or therapeutic approaches have not been clearly elucidated. Objectives The aim of this study is to evaluate the prevalence and prognostic impact of NObs-CAD as assessed by invasive coronary

Abstract:
Abstract Background Elderly atrial fibrillation (AF) patients with risk factors of bleeding are often considered ineligible for standard oral anticoagulants (OACs). The ELDERCARE-AF trial recently showed that edoxaban 15mg/day was superior to placebo for preventing stroke or systemic embolism and did not result in a significantly higher incidence of major bleeding. Our aim was to investigate a real-world cohort of AF patients similar to the ELDERCARE-AF cohort, with regard to the impact of non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulant (NOAC) use compared to non-OAC use, in relation to clinical o
