Abstract:
Nine new 4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-one derivatives were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and IR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR and UV spectral data. The synthesized compounds were analyzed for theirin vitropotential antioxidant activities in three different methods. Those antioxidant activities were compared to standard antioxidants such as BHA, BHT andα-tocopherol. Compounds4e,5aand5dshowed best activity for iron binding. In addition, the compounds4were titrated potentiometrically with tetrabutylammonium hydroxide (TBAH) in four non-aqueous solvents (isopropyl alcohol,tert-butyl alcohol, acetone andN,N-dimethyl formamide). Thus, the half-neutralization potential values and the correspondingpKavalues were determined in all cases.

Abstract:
Hydrazine, carbothioamide derivatives2,3, and4were synthesized by the condensation of 1, 3, 5-tri carbonyl tri chloride, Terephthaloyl dichloride, and 1, 4-dicarbonyl chloride with thiosemicarbazide in presence of pyridine as a solvent. The reaction of compounds2,3, and4with DMAD or DEAD led to the formation of 4-oxothiozolidine derivatives(4b–c),(3a-c), and(2c-d). The treatment of compounds2,3, and4with 1, 4′-diboromoacetophenone resulted in the formation of thiazole derivatives(2g, 3f, 4f). The treatment of compounds2,3, and4with sulfuric led to the formation of 4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol derivatives (2f,3d, and4d). The cyclization of compounds2,3, and4in the presence of 2N NaOH resulted in the formation of compounds2e-4econtaining two or three [1,2,4]triazole rings which are linked to the benzene ring. These compounds are important and useful monomer for synthesis of various dendrimers.

Abstract:
The notion of compounding a chaotic system was introduced earlier. It consisted of varying the parameters of the compoundee system in proportion to the variables of the compounder system, resulting in a compound system which has in general higher Lyapunov exponents. Here, the notion is extended to self-compounding of a system with a real-earth example, and mutual compounding of dynamic systems. In the former, the variables in a system perturb its parameters. In the latter, two systems affect the parameters of each other in proportion to their variables. Examples of systems in such compounding relationships are studied. The existence of self-compounding is indicated in the geodynamics of mantle convection. The effect of mutual compounding is studied in terms of Lyapunov exponent variations.

Abstract:
Compounding is a statistical notion. Essentially, it comprises of regarding the parameters in a particular statistical distribution as random variables with a prescribed distribution. The compound distribution then acquires the parameters of the compounding distribution as its own. As deterministic chaos, in spite of being deterministic, appears like a statistical phenomenon, the notion of compounding can be extended to chaotic systems. It is shown with illustrations that a chaotic system can be compounded by another chaotic system, giving rise to compound chaos which is, in general, “chaoticer”. The concept can also be used to make a periodic system chaotic, thus opening possibilities of “chaoticization”. Examples of compound chaos and chaoticization are given using Lorenz and Rössler systems, including their attractors and limit cycles as “compoundee” and/or “compounder” systems. The conclusions are based on quantitative studies of Lyapunov exponents and correlation dimensions.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The aim of this work was to study the compounding and injection molding of PLA composites based on cellulose fibres. In the first part, the influence of compounding and injection molding on the structure of the PLA is presented. Particularly, the influence of processing conditions on the degradation during extrusion was investigated. The study of the cristallization behavior evidenced an usual dilatation of PLA during cold cristallization in the case of injection molded parts. The optimization of the compounding step of the composites is presented in a second part. The aim was to avoid the degradation during the extrusion process and to optimize the dispersion of the cellulose fibers. A design of experiment was used to define the optimum compounding parameters in order to limit the degradation and improve the dispersion of the cellulose fibers. The optimized compounds were used to study the influence of injection molding conditions on the structure of the composites and its influence on the mechanical properties of injection molded composites. Finally, the optimization of composites thermomechanical properties using formulation was proposed. Particularly, the effect of plasticizing of PLA and the compatibilization at the interface using maleic anhydride grafted PLA are presented
