Understanding the interaction of charged particles with polymers is crucial for applications in materials science, radiation physics, and electron spectroscopy. This study investigates the differences in the elastic scattering spectra of electrons and positrons in polyethylene, focusing on the underlying mechanisms that influence the spectral features. Electron Compton scattering is inelastic scattering of fast electrons at large angles off core or valence electrons. The energy of the scattered electron is increasingly lowered with scattering angle; the energy distribution can be shown to be an image of the electron momentum density distribution in the ground state. The most dominant problem in ECOSS (Electron Compton Scattering from Solids), is the Bragg-Compton channel coupling. Bragg scattered electrons in the specimen act as new sources for Compton scattering. Since these Compton events correspond to various scattering angles a number of

Abstract The goal of this work is to constrain sub-GeV dark matter particles (1 MeV ≤ mDM ≤ 5 GeV) by looking at photons in the keV energy range and by including the inverse Compton scattering contribution to the total flux. In particular, the electrons and positrons produced by dark matter particles can scatter the low-energy photons in the Milky Way up to the X-ray energies. These X rays are probed by the Integral data, which we utilised to constrain the dark matter annihilation cross-section. The relevant annihilation channels are electron, muon and pion. In 1923, Arthur Holly Compton introduced what today is known as the Compton wavelength. Even if the Compton scattering derivation by Compton is relativistic in the sense that it takes into account the momentum of photons traveling at the speed of light, the original Compton derivation indirectly assumes that the electron is stationary at the moment it is scattered by electrons, but not after it has been hit by photons. Here, we extend this to derive Compton scattering for the case when the electron is initially moving at a velocity v.

Abstract:
Investigation of interaction of electrons and γ-quanta with very strong electromagnetic fields having the strength about Fo = m2c3 /eħ = 1.32×1016V/cm (characteristic QED field strength) is of principal interest for fundamental physics. Such a field performs the work equal to the electron rest energy (mc2) at its Compton wavelength (ħ/mc). Therefore one may think that intrinsic properties of an electron would be manifested due to action the field ~FO on parts of an elementary charge. If such a field is produced with a laser then frequency and wavelength must have values ω ~mc2/ħ and λ h/mc in
