Abstract:
We are interested in Sobolev type inequalities and their relationship with concentration properties on higher dimensions. We consider unbounded spin systems on the d-dimensional lattice with interactions that increase slower than a quadratic. At first we assume that the one-site measure satisfies a modified log-Sobolev inequality with a constant uniformly on the boundary conditions and we determine conditions so that the infinite-dimensional Gibbs measure satisfies a concentration as well as a Talagrand type inequality, similar to the ones obtained by Barthe and Roberto6 for the product measur

We prove that there exists a number c > 0 such that for E ⊆k, F ⊆l and Hk+l provided that μ and ν satisfy the so-called Federer condition.Using these inequalities we give upper and lower bounds for the multifractal spectrum of μ × ν in terms of the multifractal spectra of

Abstract:
Tobacco consumption, or smoking, is a major cause of preventable morbidity and mortality worldwide, including in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). In order to reduce the consumption of tobacco products, it is necessary to understand the factors that drive it. However, little is known about the socioeconomic determinants of tobacco smoking in the KSA. This study, therefore, investigates the socioeconomic factors that influence tobacco smoking in the KSA. Using a national health survey, the study employs logistic and negative binomial regressions to examine the socioeconomic factors associated

This publication analyses various constraints preventing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries from tapping into global value chains. It highlights that the time and costs associated with transporting goods across borders are significantly greater in developing than developed economies. It emphasizes that the smaller size and working capital of SMEs, and their concentration in a limited number of geographic and product markets, makes them vulnerable to costs and delays associated with trade barriers compared to multinational corporations. In this context, the chapte

Abstract:
Tobacco smoking continues to be a major contributor to mortality, morbidity, and social inequalities in health worldwide. Smoking prevalence and inequality are influenced by tobacco control measures and interference from the industry including Japan Tobacco. Tobacco control is weak in Japan by international standards. Control measures such as taxation, labelling, and smoke-free legislation have differing effects on smoking inequality. Quit rates differ across socioeconomic strata, as does exposure to second-hand smoke. Equity effectiveness research takes account of socioeconomic gradients in response to new control measures and products. In Japan, e-cigarettes with nicotine have been prohibited since 2010. New heated tobacco products were introduced in 2013 and their use increased dramatically from 2016. To monitor smoking behaviour and health inequalities in Japan, we need to focus on heated tobacco products as well as cigarettes.

Abstract:
This chapter examines the measurement of motion in agriculture. Not only in Brazil, but in several Latin-American countries, important changes have been observed in the geographical distribution of the agricultural activity. They may take different forms, such as occupation of new areas or reallocation of particular products to areas that were already under some form of agriculture. Besides, in any year, for a given level of geographical subdivision, the distribution of a product shows spatial concentration; but the places which concentrate a substantial portion of the total production may change from year to year, and different subsets of the total territory occupied by a product may move at different speeds. Three distance measures will be introduced in order to assess the motion of individual products; two of them correspond to mathematical concepts, while the third one gives the terrestrial distance between national centers of gravity of the products.

However, this group of products is among the fastest perishing products. It is because of environmental and internal factors in vegetables during storage are unavoidable. During the preparation for the market vegetables are being cleaned, washed, sanded, sorted and dried. This consumes a lot of energy and water. Different technological measures are used to reduce the consumption of natural resources during the preparation of products for the
