Abstract. We developed an advanced-design programmable rainfall simulator (RS) to simulate a moving storm rainfall condition. The RS consists of an automated nozzle control system coupled with a pressure regulator mechanism for an operating range of 50 to 180 kPa at a drop height of 2000 mm above the soil flume surface. Additionally, a programmable mobile application was developed to regulate all RS valves. Near natural rainfall conditions were simulated at varying spatial and temporal resolutions in a controlled environment. A soil flume of 2500 mm × 1400 mm × 500 mm was fabricated to conduct

Joint probability methods for characterizing storm surge hazards involve the use of a collection of hydrodynamic storm simulations to fit a response surface function describing the relationship between storm surge and storm parameters. However, in areas with a sufficiently low probability of flooding, few storms in the simulated storm suite may produce surge, resulting in a paucity of information for training the response surface fit. Cytokine storms are much more common these days because of the corona epidemic. Cytokine storm is a serious complication known as an infusion reaction seen in the presence of infection or drug side effects. The reason for this is the increase in the number of white blood cells to fight viral and bacterial infections, as a result of which more cytokines are secreted and the feedback provided by them causes a severe inflammatory reaction and death if the patient does not focus on it. Abstract:
The Partulidae are a Pacific-wide family of tree snails with high levels of endemism and with a majority of their extant species having special conservation concern. Having radiated across Pacific Islands, this family has evolved with some frequency of tropical storms. However, little is known about their response or recovery rates from severe storms. The island of Guam has its own unique species of Partulidae, Partula radiolata. One of the largest and most accessible occurrences of P. radiolata in the island is located at the Asan Beach Unit of the War in the Pacific National Historical Park.

Abstract:
The concept of ‘tax morale’ seeks to capture an individual’s willingness (or unwillingness) to pay taxes. The study of tax morale in lower-income countries is significant for understanding “quasi-voluntary” tax compliance, popular support for tax reform programs, and the broader character of social contracts. While interest in tax morale research has surged over the past decade, the use of the concept in research has often been relatively broad and imprecise. This risks a lack of comparability across studies. More importantly, insufficiently nuanced research risks telling an incomplete or misl

Abstract:
As with ISIL, QAnon’s ideology proliferates through easily-shareable digital content espousing grievances and injustices by “evil oppressors.” To perhaps a greater degree than any comparable movement, QAnon is a product of the social media era which created a perfect storm for it to spread. It was QAnon’s spread onto the mainstream social media platforms—and from there onto the streets—that made this phenomenon into a global concern. Social media platforms, again, aided and abetted QAnon growth by driving vulnerable audiences to their content.
