Teacher beliefs for conceptualisations of feedback should facilitate pupil development. However, to what extent does the conception of feedback in assessment for learning influence pupil aspirations as commanded by the Malaysian Education Development Plan? Thus, this study is conducted to explore the degree of influence of the conceptions of feedback factors on Pupil Aspiration. A survey research design is used in this study using a self-report inventory on feedback conceptions and pupil aspirations. This paper presents a test and numerical investigation into the monotonic behavior of three different complex steel trusses to concrete-filled tubular (CFT) column joints. Based on an engineering structure, 1 : 4 reduced-scale specimens are manufactured and the three-dimensional subassembly testing system is designed to apply the monotonic load. Test phenomena and load-stress curves show that all three types of joints have a considerable load-carrying capacity and joint rigidity. Finite element (FE) analysis is adopted, and the stress distribution shows good agreement with test data. Both test

We introduce and discuss an interpretative model of the structure and bonding of inorganic crystals containing metallic elements. The central idea is the conception of the crystal structure of such an inorganic compound as a metallic matrix whose geometric and electronic structures govern the formation and localization of the anions in the lattice. This is the reason for labelling the model anions in metallic matrices (AMM). In January 2000, PETROBRAS faced a leakage of heavy heated MF380 oil from a 0.406m pipeline in the Guanabara Bay. When interacting with the soil, the thermal structural buckling of the pipeline induced the rupture of the pipeline wall causing the oil to leak. In order to overcome this undesired phenomenon, PETROBRAS studied several new pipeline alternatives. As a result of these studies, a “ZIG-ZAG” geometry pipeline named PE-3 was adopted. Given that the oil industry applications of this kind of concept have been very few and in soil conditions different from the ones in the Guanabara Bay, a

The new scenario of oil exploration in ultra deep water moves forward to 3000 m, has been putting for the companies that accept this technological challenger significant, border of the techno-scientific knowledge. Therefore, nowadays in this case of ultra deep waters, where the forces above the mooring lines are increase and the use of the new material in Petrobras Floating Production Units, it is necessary the good numerical analyses and experimental test by the mooring line. It appears the need to look for a solution for the problems according to the changes of the polyester rope in the prod

Abstract Active Noise and Vibration Control (ANVC) technology is a proven solution for noise and vibration problems in aircraft. The challenges in commercializing this solution range from the development issues of choosing the best actuation, sensor, and control technology to obtaining sufficient flight test time and satisfying FAA requirements. This paper examines significant case histories in the progression of the Lord active vibration control program from conception to market. Throughout the development program, several important discoveries were made regarding the performance, reliability

Muqtedar Khan’s Islam and Good Governance: A Political Philosophy of Ihsan is, above all, an expression of faith.[1] This does not mean that we should engage it as a confessional text — although it certainly is one at some level — or that it necessitates or assumes a particular faith positionality on the part of its reader. Rather, Khan seeks here to build a vision and conception of Islamic governance that does not depend on compliance with or fidelity to some outward standard — whether that be European political liberalism or madhhabi requirements. Instead, he draws on concepts, values, and v
