AbstractThis paper follows the history of an object. The purpose of doing so is to come to terms with a distinctive kind of research object – which we are calling a ‘test object’ – as well as to chronicle a significant line of research and technology development associated with the broader nanoscience/nanotechnology movement. A test object is one of a family of epistemic things that makes up the material culture of laboratory science. Depending upon the case, it can have variable shadings of practical, mathematical and epistemic significance. Clear cases of test objects have highly regular and

This conception extends beyond the traditional second-order Laplacian diffusion model by considering the p-Laplacian operator and a bi-stable reaction term, thereby providing a more generalized framework for flame diffusion analysis. Given the structure of our equations, we provide the boundedness and uniqueness of the solutions in a weak sense from both analytical and numerical approaches. One common method consists of states assigning each school an A–F letter grade based on English and math proficiency rates and other measures of academic performance. Proponents of the summary letter-grade system cite its simplicity as a virtue, while detractors contend that the system is simplistic to a fault. Retail space, leisure space, even public open space, as well as housing and work environments are quantifiable and comparable in financial terms as the ultimate test of their value. This conception of urban space as units of capital has its origins in the industrial development of centres such as Manchester where, largely unencumbered by earlier urban patterns, the idea of the modern city could thrive.
