Prior research, from the psychodynamically oriented literature, characterizes homicidal offenders as impulsive, vulnerable to stress, with difficulties in emotional control, particularly anger. In 1995 Coram reported Rorschach data from a sample of murderers which tentatively support earlier findings. This paper argues that confirmatory data from measures which objectively assess emotional states and behaviors could elucidate this issue.

As more researchers make their data sets openly available, the potential of secondary data analysis to address new questions increases. However, the distinction between primary and secondary data analysis is unnecessarily confounded with the distinction between confirmatory and exploratory research. We propose a framework, akin to library-book checkout records, for logging access to data sets in order to support confirmatory analysis when appropriate. This system would support a standard form of preregistration for secondary data analysis, allowing authors to demonstrate that their plans were

Abstract:
Over years, research in Management Information Systems (MIS) has resulted in significant implications for organizations in a wide variety of areas by using socio-technical perspective, which has helped to deliver more business focused solutions. This study reports the results of an empirical examination of the effect of IT governance framework based on COBIT and Organizational Knowledge Pillars in enhancing the IT Governance framework (Business / IT Strategic alignment, Business value delivery, risk management, Resource management, performance measurement) to enhance the business intelligence application and usability within the organization. Quantitative method is adopted for answering the research questions. A questionnaire was used for data collection after contacting several companies, in addition confirmatory factor model and structural equation model were developed and tested and the overall results of the empirical investigation supported the general framework. Using confirmatory factor analysis techniques, the effects of the combination between IT governance factors seen by ITGI and organizational knowledge pillars of the firm on BI Systems application in it were tested and confirmed and the models were also verified. Several statistical methods were used for data analysis; moreover different statistical tools as software packages were employed such as SPSS 17 and EQS 6.1. The study proposes that knowledge management (KM) and IT Governance framework are vital organizational abilities that support business intelligence application; it also observes that combination of IT governance framework with organizational knowledge within the firm can enhance the organization’s BI system application and usability, and its goal is to advance the understanding of the relationships among these factors. The study develops and tested two main hypothesizes: (1) IT Governance framework supports business intelligence application. (2) Organizational knowledge, in turn, leads to support business intelligence application.

This study inspects how big data is comprehended by IT experts and the difficulties that they have in respect to the reception of big data examination. The study also looks into the contributing factors of big data adoption within the manufacturing and services sectors in India. The data were analyzed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, and relevant hypotheses were derived and tested by SEM analysis. The findings revealed that relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, organizational size, top management support, competitive pressure, vendor support, data management, and data privacy are the factors that are important for both industries. Through a comparison of the industries, statistically significant differences between the service and the manufacturing sectors were found; in other words, it has been noted that the relative importance of all factors for big data adoption differs between the industries, with the only exception being its complexity – it was found to be insignificant for the manufacturing sector.

Abstract:
This study presents the development of an empirically validated framework for users’ perception of effective Web sites for retail e-commerce (E-tail). In particular, we attempted to answer the main research questions: What are the major designs determining E-tail Web site effectiveness? How do these designs support Web users’ objectives in using the Web? Based on the concept of “fitness for use” and the reasons that consumers use the Web, we proposed that “effective designs for E-tail Web sites should support Web customers for their (a) information search, (b) pleasure and (c) business transactions.” Then, data were collected from a survey on 427 potential Web customers. An exploratory analysis was conducted to refine the proposed framework and to provide structure of the constructs in the framework to be validated by a following confirmatory analysis. Results suggest that the major designs determining E-tail Web site effectiveness include 16 factors, with 64 Web designs supporting the three major reasons for customers to use the Web.

Abstract:
Small and medium sized enterprises’ (SMEs) activities have contributed significantly to environmental degradation that causes a disastrous effect on us and our future generation. Considering this, sustainable entrepreneurship has been promoted as a resolution of ecological problems capable of addressing climate change issues, public health, and safety concerns, and has become critical for competing in international markets. SMEs activities increased pollution exclusively causing environmental degradation. In response, the world is focusing on ensuring that SMEs produce products through safe and environmentally friendly practices. Literature suggests that organizational support provide SMEs with the impetus to achieve competitive advantage regarding turnover, customer attraction and market share opportunities to achieve business performance. Nonetheless, the implementation of sustainable entrepreneurship among them is still low due to numerous challenges. This paper intends to investigate the influence of organizational support on sustainable entrepreneurship towards performance among SMEs. A case study involving 300 herbal-based SMEs were surveyed using structured questionnaire. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation model. The results show that organizational support have a positive effect on sustainable entrepreneurship and performance among the SMEs, accounting for 52% and 47% variance respectively. This finding reveals that organizational support is significantly related to entrepreneurship performance, thus substantiates previous findings on the crucial roles of organizational support in enabling organizations to achieve sustainable entrepreneurship performance. This study contributes to triple bottom line literature based on incorporation of strategic choice theory, strategic sustainability orientation and resource-based view theory in entrepreneurship framework.

Abstract:
The assessment and diagnosis of neuropathic pain are essential in understanding the complex mechanisms responsible for this syndrome. Furthermore, there is a tremendous need for more effective, targeted strategies for delivering pain medicine. Unfortunately, the diagnosis and treatment of neuropathic pain can be challenging. A standardized approach leading to an accurate diagnosis must be consistently communicated among clinicians and researchers, and the diagnostician needs to differentiate neuropathic pain from other pain phenotypes. Several validated tools and questionnaires have been designed specifically for this purpose and are discussed in depth in this chapter. The clinician must utilize the history and physical exam and consider ordering pertinent confirmatory tests to support the neuropathic pain diagnosis. A critical understanding of this work is needed in order to promote progress in our ability to define potential treatment targets to alleviate suffering in our patients.

Abstract:
When business managers are considering whether to invest in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, they ask the question: “What are the returns on investment?” When the ERP system is implemented and in operation, business managers ask another question: “How successful is the system?” To answer these questions, clues can be found by examining organizational effectiveness improvements as a result of ERP system implementation. This paper suggests that being able to identify the dimensions of organizational effectiveness is enabled by ERP systems. Together with positive organizational effectiveness improvements, the business value of ERP systems can be demonstrated. To provide the evidence needed to support the notion, a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was conducted. Analyses reveal that the construct of IS-enabled organizational effectiveness can be modeled, at a higher-order abstraction level, as a third-order construct manifested by three second-order constructs and ten first-order constructs.

This study provides some clarification and extends literature by investigating the effects of the use of social networking sites by organizational employees on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and employee job performance. A survey was conducted to empirically test the proposed research model consisting of latent constructs: social networking site use, organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and employee job performance. Data of this confirmatory study was collected from 279 employees of various organizations operating in Pakistan. The model was analyzed employing variance-based structure equation modeling. Statistical software was used to assess both measurement and structural models. Results indicate that social networking sites use is not directly associated with employee job performance but with the mediating effects of job satisfaction that is also nested with the mediating effect of organizational commitment. This study is expected to both substantiate existing theories of management, and provide some extensions to social support theory.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to examine the factor structure of the job perfectionism scale assessing positive and negative tendencies of striving for professional excellence. The participants were 157 adult employees (47.8 % females). The mean age of the sample was 43.32 (SD=12.89) and the mean years of job experience was 22.29 (SD=12.26). The Cronbach’s alpha values were 0.82 and 0.83 for the positive job perfectionism scale and the negative job perfectionism scale, respectively. The results of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses supported a two-dimensional structure of the questionnai

Abstract:
One of the major challenges involved in the use of ceramic materials in advanced vehicular heat engines is ensuring adequate strength and durability. This Department of Energy supported activity has developed methodologies to predict the structural behavior of ceramic components. The effort involved the characterization of injection molded and hot isostatic pressed PY6 silicon nitride and the development of analytical life prediction techniques. Three failure modes are addressed: fast fracture, slow crack growth, and creep rupture. The technique deals with surface as well as internal component
