Abstract:
Abstract It is a long-standing conjecture that any CFT with a large central charge and a large gap ∆gap in the spectrum of higher-spin single-trace operators must be dual to a local effective field theory in AdS. We prove a sharp form of this conjecture by deriving numerical bounds on bulk Wilson coefficients in terms of ∆gap using the conformal bootstrap. Our bounds exhibit the scaling in ∆gap expected from dimensional analysis in the bulk. Our main tools are dispersive sum rules that provide a dictionary between CFT dispersion relations and S-matrix dispersion relations in appropriate limits

Abstract:
In the last decade, there has been tremendous progress in understanding conformal eld theories in more than two space-time dimensions. The numerical bootstrap framework has been pushed to a very advanced level of sophistication. Analytical bootstrap progress is still in its infancy. The Polyakov-Mellin bootstrap can be applied to various perturbative theories to derive analytical results purely from CFT arguments and successfully reproduce important results like operator dimensions and OPE coe cients to the rst few orders in epsilon expansion at the Wilson-Fisher xed point. This tool i

Abstract:
Conformal Field Theories (CFT) are Quantum Field Theories characterized by enhanced (conformal) symmetries. They are interesting to Theoretical Physicists because they occur at critical points in phase transitions of various systems and also in the world sheet formulation of String Theory. CFTs allow Operator Product Expansion (OPE) in their correlators. The idea of Conformal Bootstrap is to solely use the conformal symmetries and crossing symmetry in the OPE to solve a conformal led theory and not explicitly use a lagrangian. Solving a CFT is equivalent to obtaining the anomalous dimensions a
