Abstract:
Consumption is a fundamental determinant of the economic success. Consumer spending is approximately 70 percent of the Gross domestic product (GDP). It is common to divide consumer spending into nondurables (clothing and food), durables (“large” goods, which are not purchased very often), and of course services (day care, banking, medical). The way to identify how the economy influences consumption is to look at specific economic cycles. At the top of the economy (when the economy is strong), people reaction is physically powerful, and consumers spend money freely. When the economy falters, co

Gas billing is always accompanied by unaccounted-for gas loss (UAG) which must be taken into account by gas operators. Gas theft is one of the sources of UAG in the gas distribution area and can be as high as several percent of revenues from gas supplies. The operator should have effective tools to prevent theft, both by detecting and combatting it. Gas companies try to prevent and detect gas theft using various methods. One of them is the continuous control of gas consumption at individual gas consumption points. The gas operator can thus minimize gas losses due to the use of faulty gas meter

Abstract:
The effects of the industrial structure of energy consumption structure and environmental regulations on energy consumption per unit of GDP are explored and empirically tested using the panel regression method based on panel data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2000 to 2021. It is found that upgrading the energy consumption structure has a significant inhibitory effect on the energy consumption per unit of GDP, and the results are robust. The mechanism test shows that energy intensity is affected by the industrial structure upgrading effect and the environmental protection expenditure

This paper aims to investigate the impact of space weather on China’s electricity market. Based on data products provided by NOAA and the National Energy Administration in China, this paper uses solar wind velocity as a solar weather indicator and the disturbance storm time index as a magnetospheric weather indicator to match monthly Chinese electricity market data over 10 years. Based on a VAR model, we found that (1) space weather increases the demand for electricity in China, and solar wind speed and the geomagnetic index increase the electricity consumption of the whole of Chinese society,

This study aimed to measure substrate consumption and waste reduction index of edamame soybean using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae as a bioconversion agent. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments: unfermented edamame soybean waste (F0), fermented for 7 days (F7), and fermented for 14 days (F14). The observed bioconversions included substrate consumption and waste reduction index (WRI). Data analysis used analysis of variance with a confidence level of 5%. The results showed that waste fermentation significantly affected substrate consumption and waste reduc

As a major energy sources province in China, Shaanxi Province ranks top three in terms of raw coal production in China and undertakes the important task of ensuring national energy supply and security. Affected by the endowment of energy resources, fossil energy accounts for a large proportion of the energy consumption structure in Shaanxi Province, and it will face huge challenges under the severe carbon emission situation in future. In order to analyze the relationship between energy consumption structure, energy efficiency and carbon emissions, the paper introduces the concept of biodiversi

Introduction: Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 and has been determined as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). As an effort to reduce transmission, the government has announced several policies that encourage working from home, which will increase snack time. This will have an impact on increased calorie intake and risk of obesity. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the effect in young adults that requires balanced nutrition. This study aims to understand whether snacks consumption has an effect on body mass index and body fat
