The Kango (Cango) region flanks the northern margins of the Klein Karoo and the Cape Mountains across the Western Cape Province of South Africa. It preserves a condensed Proterozoic–Paleozoic stratigraphy exposed via a Mesozoic–Cenozoic morphology with a present Alpine-like topography.
