Contour crafting (CC) is a advanced building printing technology being researched by Behrokh Khoshnevis of the University of Southern California's in the Viterbi School of Engineering that uses a computer-controlled crane to build homes rapidly and efficiently with substantially less manual labor. It was originally designed as a method to construct molds for industrial parts. Khoshnevis decided to adapt the technology for rapid home construction as a way to rebuild homes after natural disasters, like the devastating earthquakes. Abstract:
AbstractContrary to what might be expected from such a thinker, Jonathan Edwards was restrained in conversation with the Reformed debate about the order of the divine decrees, known as the infralapsarian/supralapsarian debate. I will address Edwards's caution regarding this particular debate: first, by tracing the contours of the broader Reformed debate on the divine decrees and its evolution from engagement of Arminian theology to that of theodicy; second, by noting where Edwards does not speak to this debate and exegeting the few passages where he does take it up; third, by analysing the par

Cleft lips and palates are congenital anomalies affecting the mouth and face. For fully edentulous patients with a cleft palate, crafting complete dentures is particularly challenging. These dentures, which incorporate an obturator and extend into the palate, must be meticulously designed to address issues related to appearance, speech, swallowing, and chewing. Treatment for cleft lip and palate aims to restore function, speech, and aesthetics through the use of fixed prostheses, removable prostheses, and implants. The approach should follow key principles of oral rehabilitation, including mai

Abstract Introduction A transparent facial orthosis (TFO) is crucial for managing scars in burn cases. However, TFOs are typically static and rigid, lacking adaptability to facial movements. Their effectiveness depends on the ability to conform to each patient's unique facial contours and applying the correct amount of pressure to scars. Crafting or modifying TFOs is a time-consuming, skilled, and costly process. To address these challenges, we've developed the flexible and adaptable Sequential Compression Appliance to Reduce Scarring (SCARS) mask in collaboration with a local prosthetic and o
