The pion optical potential generated by the hypothetical πNN-coupled NN-decoupled dibaryon resonance d′(2065) is calculated to the lowest order in nuclear matter density. The contribution to the pion optical potential is found to be within the empirical errors, so the d′(2065) existence currently does not contradict to the observed properties of the π--nucleus bound states. Future progress in the pionic X-ray spectroscopy can reveal contributions of πNN resonances to energy levels and widths of the pionic atoms.

A semiempirical theory of solid solubility in transition metal alloys is presented. The theory is based on writing the energy of formation of the solid solution as a sum of several contributions: a) a chemical contribution due to electronic redistribution in forming the alloy, b) an elastic contribution arising from the difference in size between solute and solvent atoms and c) a structural contribution due to the difference in crystal structure between solute and solvent and to the change in average valence when disolving foreign atoms. Special care is taken in evaluating these contributions

Abstract:
The Cu6Sn5 intermetallic compound (IMC) is an important interfacial reactive product in electronic packaging. The properties of Cu6Sn5 have been demonstrated to be crucial to the interface reliability at the solder interconnections. Due to the element inter-diffusion between the packaging side and PCB (printed circuit board) side during soldering process, a ternary Cu6Sn5-based Cu-Ni-Sn intermetallic compound is often generated. This ternary phase exhibits a similar crystal structure as Cu6Sn5 phase, in which the Ni atoms are regarded as the solubility by replacing the Cu atoms. Therefore, thi

Abstract:
We calculated ab initio attosecond time-resolved spectra for streaked XUV photoemission (PE) from helium. For the n = 2 shake-up channel, we find PE time-delays relative to direct [He+ (n = 1)] PE in agreement with the experimental and calculated results of Ref. [1]. In addition, we provide relative PE delays for n = 3 shake-up. Within a multipole expansion and by comparing our ab initio results for angle-resolved spectra with a simplified single-active-electron calculation, we examine the contributions of the lowest multipole orders of the residual He+(n = 2,3) charge distributions on the PE

Abstract:
USDA's Economic Research Service (ERS) produces the Agricultural Trade Multipliers (ATMs)--a data product that provides annual estimates of the economic output and number of jobs supported by U.S. agricultural trade, with detail for 124 product groups. The ATMs are a resource for Government agencies, academics, and other stakeholders to estimate the effect that U.S. agricultural trade has on the farm and nonfarm sectors of the U.S. economy and the contribution of U.S. agricultural exports to employment and economic output. In 2021, ERS researchers overhauled the computer programming used to es

<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Advanced two-dimensional (2D) materials discovered in the last two decades are now being produced at scale and are contributing to a wide range of performance enhancements in engineering applications. The most well-known of these novel materials is graphene, a nearly transparent nanomaterial comprising a single layer of bonded carbon atoms. In relative terms, it has the highest level of heat and electrical conductivity, protects against ultraviolet rays, and is strongest material ever measured. These properties have made
