Abstract:
The Master Thesis deals with the use of the controlling concept in business management, Business Intelligence systems and their interconnection. The aim is to propose this integration link on the example of a particular company and at the same time to give management recommendations in areas that will be evaluated in the analysis as insufficient. The theoretical part of this thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first deals with the definition of controlling, its tools and organizations. The second one describes business intelligence, not just the basic principles of this technology, but also the choice of tools and the implementation process are explained. The following chapter lists two software tools that combine controlling and business intelligence in practice. The practical part is divided into a general description of the company, analysis of the applied elements of controlling and then the proposal of solution of insufficient areas and the process of BI implementation, which contains 12 steps which would enable to implement the BI concept.

Abstract:
This thesis covers the process analysis in sales controlling department of an energy company from the point of view of effectiveness of information system support. Based on this analysis is provided evaluation of the system implementation. According to the importance of the practical part of the thesis, it is not divided from the theoretical part, but it penetrates the theory withint the whole thesis. the main scope of controlling and information system is first introduced in the beginning of the thesis, followed by the process description and its analysis. Conclusion includes all essential findings and evaluation of premilinary hypotesis.

Este estudo construiu um modelo de Business Intelligence para a controladoria evidenciar informações estratégicas em uma das empresas do Sistema FIERGS: o Serviço Social da Indústria (SESI-RS). Evidenciou-se o tipo de pesquisa metodológica como um estudo de caso exploratório, com observação participante de forma aberta, de natureza qualitativa, realizada a partir de múltiplas fontes de coletas de dados, tais como entrevistas, análise de documentos, manuais de sistemas, sistemas de informática. Iniciou-se com a fundamentação teórica sobre gestão estratégica, necessidades informacionais dos executivos e o papel da controladoria frente às reais necessidades estratégicas organizacionais. Fez-se o alinhamento entre o Balanced Scorecard (em fase de implantação na organização estudada), o Business Intelligence e a controladoria. This reseach built a model of Business Intelligence for controlling disclosure strategic information in one of the FIERGS System organizations: Serviço Social da Indústria (SESI-RS). The method of methodological search was used because it is an exploratory study of case, with an open participative observation, qualitative, developed from multiple sources of data, such as interviews, review of documents, systems manuals and informatics systems. It starts with the theoretical basis on strategic management, informational needs of executives and the role of controlling towards the real strategic organizational needs. It was made an alignment among the Balanced Scorecard (this tool is being applied in the studied organization), the Business Intelligence and controlling. After, it was analyzed subjects as Information Technology versus decision-making process. Abstract:
This work deals with the principles and methods of executing common managerial accounting tasks using Corporate Performance Management tools and technologies. The aim of the work is to analyze different practices, compare them and assess them against non-CPM solutions, especially ERP and spreadsheet solutions. The selection of tasks is based on a survey conducted among Czech companies and includes planning, budgeting, cost allocations and variance analysis. Conclusions are derived from the managerial accounting theory, fundamental works of Business Intelligence and personal experience gained through twelve CPM implementation projects. The conclusions are mostly platform-independent since functionality of several diverse CPM products is taken into account. The work highlights not only advantages but also restrictions of CPM tools and technologies. Many of the conclusions can be directly applied in practice. Work may be beneficial especially for business consultants and for companies considering the implementation of CPM.

Abstract:
Connections of the World of Information Technologies and its surroundings are increasingly growing and nobody can be surprised that the key success business factors are, for instance, correct and consistent processes supported by informational system. To implement this kind of back-office system doesn't already mean to get a competitive advantage, so therefore systems which support a decision making (also noticed as MIS, management information system) are becoming a standard. Implementation of any information system in a specific environment is a complex process which contains a lot of methods, procedures and tools which are called together as a methodology. The main aim of this work is the concept of the implementation methodology for financial planning and controlling software. This concept is based on the exact software which is already implemented and used in practice all over the world, but its implementation is always a matter of the particular provider. However, the output of this work is the methodology which is used as an internal material in a company I work nowadays for, it can be also an inspiration or a formal order of the implementation of similar system. Whole work could be divided into three components which are leading to reach the main aim. First two fragments are introducing systems which support decision making, and they are also informing about current market situation and requirements of planning and controlling upheld by these tools. The third part is concerned with the implementation of information systems and it is introducing existing methodologies which are used within MIS implementations. The last part is fundamental and practical, it contains actual concept of the implementation methodology with its practical example.
