Abstract:
Purpose: Technical communication (tech comm) and marketing communication (marcomm) are converging in business-to-consumer (B2C) contexts. Convergent videos integrate practices from both genres to address ever-changing digital audiences. In this paper, we review available literature and analyze tech comm and marcomm social media videos to demonstrate traditional genre conventions. We then analyze a select couple of convergent social media videos to delineate genre conventions across genres. We end by considering four unique convergent strategies that these videos used in combining elements of the tech comm and marcomm genres. Methods: We selected several social media videos produced by large home improvement brands to analyze the generic practices they employ in relation to accepted best practices in the literature from scholars in tech comm and marcomm. We then analyze videos that fit neither genre in light of recent publications by Adobe discussing genre convergence and note several distinct genre practices that can be ascribed to convergent videos. Results: We find that convergent characteristics are distinct from tech comm and marcomm. The brands employ convergent practices in some social media videos that blend genre conventions from tech comm and marcomm video production.Specifically, we identify four ways that these genres converge: using technical tasks as marketing opportunities, balancing corporate branding with mundane user ethos, layering content pathways across the interface, and capturing attention with relevance. Conclusion: Convergence represents a new genre in that it purposefully attempts to engage users across the product lifecycle in single videos. This approach is a departure from traditional marcomm and tech comm video production. Though limited in scope, this analysis provides examples of how convergent videos attempt to achieve this goal. We end by noting our limitations and offering suggestions for future research.

Abstract:
Purpose. To identify the current level and trends of convergence to justify the directions of adjustment of approaches to the management of the national economy. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study is economic and mathematical modelling using Barro-regression and variational analysis. Integral indicators for the characteristics of the components of the studied chain are defined as the arithmetic mean of partial indicators of economic development (24 indicators), educational development (28 indicators), digitalization (12indicators) and national security (53 indicators), normalized by the method of natural normalization. To assess the pairwise, triple and complex convergent relationships in the studied chain, a multiplicative convolution of the corresponding integral indicators characterizing a pair, triple or four of the studied concepts, was performed. The sample consisted of 11 countries from Central and Eastern Europe (Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine). The research period includes 19992020. Findings. The existence of dynamic convergent links in the national security digitalization, education national security digitalization chains is confirmed, which indicates the need for further interstate integration of regulatory practices in the field of digitalization impact on the national security (including digital education effects). The links in the economy education, economy national security, education national security, economy education national security chains have a fairly high static level of convergence, which indicates the need to level the differences in national practices of regulation of these directions. At the same time, current trends in the digitalization of education and the digitalization of the economy remain quite diversified, which determines the need to apply specific national government practices in this area. Originality. Methodological principles of integrated assessment of convergent relationships in the economy education national security digitalization chain differ from the existing ones by using integrated indicators of characteristics of single, pair, triple and complex relationships within the studied chain to determine the levels of their - and -convergence. This allowed identifying the presence of the achieved level of convergence and dynamic convergent trends that arise in the process of economic and educational transformations in the context of overcoming security challenges in the national economy in the context of digitalization. Practical value. The achieved significant level of convergence of the economy, education and digitalization of the studied countries has been revealed, as well as stable convergent links of integrated development of their economy, education and national security have been formed. The results obtained can be used as a scientific substantiation of adjustment of directions of state regulation of economy and education in the conditions of digitalization and in the context of overcoming security challenges.

Abstract:
Evolutionary convergence has been long considered primary evidence of adaptation driven by natural selection and provides opportunities to explore evolutionary repeatability and predictability. In recent years, there has been increased interest in exploring the genetic mechanisms underlying convergent evolution, in part, owing to the advent of genomic techniques. However, the current ‘genomics gold rush’ in studies of convergence has overshadowed the reality that most trait classifications are quite broadly defined, resulting in incomplete or potentially biased interpretations of results. Genomic studies of convergence would be greatly improved by integrating deep ‘vertical’, natural history knowledge with ‘horizontal’ knowledge focusing on the breadth of taxonomic diversity. Natural history collections have and continue to be best positioned for increasing our comprehensive understanding of phenotypic diversity, with modern practices of digitization and databasing of morphological traits providing exciting improvements in our ability to evaluate the degree of morphological convergence. Combining more detailed phenotypic data with the well-established field of genomics will enable scientists to make progress on an important goal in biology: to understand the degree to which genetic or molecular convergence is associated with phenotypic convergence. Although the fields of comparative biology or comparative genomics alone can separately reveal important insights into convergent evolution, here we suggest that the synergistic and complementary roles of natural history collection-derived phenomic data and comparative genomics methods can be particularly powerful in together elucidating the genomic basis of convergent evolution among higher taxa. This article is part of the theme issue ‘Convergent evolution in the genomics era: new insights and directions’.

Abstract:
Using data from 1097 teachers, we aimed to validate an instrument, developed based on a systematic review of the literature, to measure school principals’ school renewal principles and practices. The instrument was examined for construct validity via factorial (structural) validity and convergent validity within the analytical framework of structural equation modeling. Four factorial structures of the instrument were examined by seven model-data-fit indices. A four-factor structure, as a result of the systematic review of the literature, was identified as the best fitting structure to the data with the best estimate within the acceptable range across all model-data-fit indices. The convergent validity was examined by a correlation approach with a psychometrically established instrument measuring a very similar construct. The results showed sound convergent validity of the instrument. Reliability analysis using McDonald’s Omega indicated strong internal consistency of the instrument.

Abstract:
This paper explored the expansion of learners' convergent thinking and the practice of convergence general education through the analysis of poster presentation cases. This course is based on interdisciplinary content in the STS, and operates in a standardized flipped learning, which is learner-centered. Learners from different majors will participate in these classes, and student presentations take the form of poster presentations, consisting of a single PPT slide presented by an individual student followed by a Q&A session. In this class, students can, first, learn to integrate their majors with the unit theme through self-directed exploration, starting from an understanding of the unit's theme. Second, through the Q&A process, students can develop their convergent abilities through inquiry and interaction among their learners. At this time, the use of crosscutting themes, which allows reflection from the perspectives of humans, technology, and society, provides an opportunity to further promote the learners' convergent thinking. Thus, poster presentations utilizing crosscutting themes can be used as a teaching-learning device to cultivate the convergent abilities of learners with diverse majors from the aspects of major convergent thinking with the unit theme, as well as extended thinking through Q&A sessions. This study examined the flow of convergent thinking extended through the learners' own exploration and interaction through the analysis of the poster presentation cases utilizing crosscutting themes. This is significant in that it proposed a teaching-learning model that enables students from diverse majors to share their awareness of issues concerning humans, technology, and society, and to cultivate their abilities for connected and creative thinking.

In this inaugural issue of the timely Mobile Media & Communication journal, questions have been posed about the state of play for mobile communication now and in the future. Given the growing convergence between mobile, social and locative media, this requires a reassessment of mobile media and its relationship with place and intimacy. How are these convergent media platforms, contexts and practices shaping, and being shaped by, intimate cartographies of place? Drawing on a case study of location-based services, games and camera phone practices in South Korea, this paper explores the role of gendered visual cultures in the relationship between place and intimacy.

Abstract:
Digital journalism studies have done little in terms of studying longitudinally the interrelationships between emerging technology and convergent news practices. This study addresses that void by using a sensemaking approach to examine how emerging technology was appropriated and enacted in the convergent news activities of newsworkers, and how they made sense of the emerging technologies over two and a half years. Our study analyzes two newsrooms in Singapore: 1) a digital-first legacy newspaper, and 2) an independent digital-only news startup. This article employs the Infotendencias Group’s (2012) analytical framework and its four dimensions of news convergence: i) business, ii) professional, iii) technological, and iv) contents. Additionally, it proposes and employs a fifth dimension: v) audience-centric engagement. The fifth dimension is based on the concept of “measurable journalism” (Carlson, 2018), analyzing how its actors influence the relationship between newsrooms and their audiences. This study builds on two rounds of in-depth interviews conducted from end-2015 to mid-2016, and again in 2018. Our findings show that audience-centric-engagement practices are observed in all four dimensions of convergent news activities of each news organization, and leads to three main conclusions: 1) the growing significance of <em>audience-centric engagement</em>, 2) an emergence of a <em>collaboration culture</em>, and 3) the salience of <em>platform counterbalancing</em>.

Abstract:
With the ever-increasing threat of climate change and global warming, ways to make energy intensive buildings, such as cold storage warehouses essential for food preservation, more sustainable need to be found. Some refrigerated warehouse owners may be unaware or unsure of the benefits obtainable from implementing sustainable practices and technologies. To search for innovations that could inform the owners and managers of cold storage warehouses about how to enhance their sustainability, convergent interviewing of subject matter experts was conducted. The resulting practices and processes were organized into a hierarchy that ranged from essential to best practices that can be implemented to improve the sustainability of refrigerated warehouses. Examples of these practices and technologies include ideal refrigeration systems, racking methods, and insulation types. To encourage the use of sustainable practices and technologies, more reporting on successful or unsuccessful applications of practices and technologies needs to be communicated. Applying change diagnostic tools such as convergent interviewing enables a practical and industry focused set of outcomes to be determined that can help drive change towards more sustainable cold storage warehouses in Australia.

Abstract:
This study examines the question types used by Indonesian English language teachers in high school classrooms and their impact on student engagement. The data were derived from two YouTube videos showcasing English language teaching in real classroom contexts. The questions posed by the teachers during the English language lessons were coded according to two criteria: convergent and divergent questions. Student engagement is measured by the number of responses to the teachers’ questions. The results reveal that the predominant type of questions used by the teachers during the lessons were convergent questions, which seek specific information or recall from students, while divergent questions, which encourage open-ended and varied responses, were used much less frequently. Furthermore, student engagement remained limited across both question types, with only a few students participating in responding. These findings highlight the prevalence of a traditional instructional approach characterized by convergent questions. The article concludes with some suggestions for utilizing alternative instructional interventions that can promote more interactive questioning practices and potentially enhance student engagement during English language instruction.

Abstract:
Abstract Ornamental plant producers often rely on chemical control to manage insect pests. However, cultural practices, such as pruning, can influence plant architecture which may, in turn, affect pesticide penetration. Spray penetration was studied to determine the effect of canopy density on beneficial insect survival following insecticide application and to better understand the implications of canopy density on pest management. Regardless of canopy density or plant species, the interior position of the canopy received less than 8% spray coverage. The middle position of sparse canopies received 288 to 513% more coverage than the middle position of dense canopies. The middle and interior position of dense canopies protected greater than 50% of the convergent lady beetle (Hippodamia convergens (Guérin-Méneville) population while only the interior position of dense canopies protected greater than 50% of green lacewing (Chrysoperla rufilabris Burmeister) populations. Index words: beneficial insect, nursery crop, pesticide, plant architecture, woody ornamental. Species used in this study: China Girl® holly (Ilex ×meserveae ‘Mesog'); ‘Alice' Oakleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia Bartr. ‘Alice'); convergent lady beetle [Hippodamia convergens (Guérin-Méneville)]; green lacewing [Chrysoperla rufilabris (Burmeister)]. Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to discuss the potential convergence of internationalization strategies for quality assurance practices at universities and educational and research institutions. This is the result of the interaction between the methodologies of work developed by international accreditation institutions and classification standards. This study uses a deductive methodology based on comparing the results of these institutions and analysing their sources and effects on directing quality practices towards common international patterns governed by factors related to globalization, which require convergent and compatible educational patterns, as well as openness to international markets, and the influence of large companies employed by individuals on the characteristics of graduates and learning outputs that are compatible with their interests. One of the most important results of this study is that it showed that there is direct guidance from the methodologies of the work of international accreditation and classification institutions that leads to the emergence of normative and standard quality practices in educational and university institutions.

Objectives This study aims to investigate the convergent learning method using a Metaverse platform that integrates four subjects, such as Korean, English, Science and Music, based on the choice of common learning topics of a myth of Jeju creation, Cheonjiwangbonpuri. Methods This study examined the characteristics and functions of Metaverse as edu-tech through bibliographic research and carried out the case study about community-based convergence learning that could use the functions of Metaverse effectively. Based on the bibliographic research results, the study found out useful ways of community-based convergence learning, by building a platform suitable for convergence learning of four subjects, and implementing it. Results In this paper, the learner-centered convergent learning plan through Metaverse was designed and made it applicable to the classrooms appropriately. In order to study the myth Cheonjiwangbonpuri, learning topics and learning objectives were selected, and the major topics of learning activities and class organization were designed and they were presented in a sequence of six steps, such as warm-up, understanding, deepening, transforming, expressing, and closing respectively. Conclusions The theme-based convergence learning using an online Metaverse platform makes students determine self-directed learning processes beyond the limited time and space of classroom practices, and it helps them do inquiry activities related to a variety of themes connected with several programs. Thus, it is significant that this study moves towards the autonomous design and management of the local curriculum, by understanding and deepening the contents of Cheonjiwangbonpuri under the integration of four subjects.

Abstract OBJECTIVE To evaluate whether accredited health organizations perform better management practices than non-accredited ones. METHOD The study was developed in two stages: a literature review, and a study of multiple cases in 12 healthcare organizations in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It surveyed articles comparing hospital accreditation with the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) model of excellence in management. According to the pertinent literature, the accreditation model and the EFQM model are convergent and supplementary in some aspects. RESULTS With 99% confidence, one can say that there is evidence that accredited organizations scored better in the evaluation based on the EFQM model in comparison to non-accredited organizations. This result was also confirmed in the comparison of results between the categories Facilitators and Results in the EFQM model. CONCLUSION There is convergence between the accreditation model and the EFQM excellence model, suggesting that accreditation helps the healthcare sector to implement the best management practices already used by other business sectors.

Abstract:
Sociologists have shown that external evaluation stimulates convergent organizational behavior, yet many evaluative practices are superficial or susceptible to manipulation. When does external evaluation lead to convergence in organizational fields? Organizations regularly and increasingly experience fragmented social orders based on orthogonal notions of value, or so-called plurality. I propose that the plurality of evaluative landscapes, that is, the universe of rankings, ratings, and awards in an organizational field, compromises the potential homogenizing influence of any single evaluative practice. Plurality in the evaluative landscape weakens the causal channels through which evaluative practices influence organizational behavior. Because evaluative activities are responsive to social conditions, plurality is suggested to be highest when organizations face multiple audiences, when the meaning of value is contested, and when access to evaluation is unregulated. Neoinstitutional organizational theory and the sociology of valuation, both of which inform this article, would benefit from a more integrated account of evaluative landscapes.

Abstract:
Many paramedics are working under levels of fatigue that would warrant immediate removal from the workplaces in other industries and such high levels of fatigue indicate a work system that is not sustainable. Sustainable work systems (SWS) build on a sociotechnical systems approach to work redesign. To diagnose the key issues in a work system, and inform any redesign or interventions, a powerful diagnostic tool, such as convergent interviewing, may be helpful. Convergent interviewing was applied to a paramedic context, extending the standard sociotechnical systems approach to work and non-work systems. The inductive convergent interviewing process was able to encapsulate the complexity of the key issues associated with fatigue and recovery in the system that is the paramedics’ lives. The issues raised could then be used to inform system changes in a move toward more sustainable work practices for paramedics.

Abstract:
The study sought to examine management practices of curriculum leaders and determine the effect of the practices of curriculum leaders on quality education in colleges of education in Ghana. The Kouzes and Posner’s model of leadership was used in ensuring quality education delivery. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed method design to help in answering the research objectives. Data were simultaneously collected using a qualitative procedure (interview for the principals) and a quantitative procedure (questionnaire for principals), (QUAN +QUAL), after which the data were analysed independently and merged for convergence. Twenty-four (24) principals in all the colleges of education participated in the study. The study processed the data using SPSS v26 and Smart PLS. For the qualitative, the study found that principals in the various colleges highly practice model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, encourage the heart, and moderately practice enable others to act, as espoused by Kouzes and Posner. The quantitative results revealed a statistically insignificant effect of curriculum leaders’ management practices on quality education. However, the qualitative results revealed otherwise. The study recommends that, since inspiring the vision was the strongest predictor of quality education, leadership training should prioritise vision-driven strategies to guide institutional development. Policymakers should integrate exemplary leadership practices into leadership development frameworks to strengthen governance and enhance teacher preparation.

Abstract:
Introduction. The article examines the essential characteristics of the journalism and PR convergence, the main reasons for this process, the key aspects of the specified mass communication types of interaction, the principles of media relations, the probable scenarios of the integration development of the journalism and PR and its consequences for both spheres are clarified. Relevance of the study. The study of various aspects of the interaction of media and public relations is extremely relevant, since in the modern media landscape these communicative practices increasingly influence each other. Understanding the consequences of their convergence helps to define new creative approaches to communication strategies, to adapt them to modern realities. The purpose of the article is to determine the convergent processes features, that have recently been taking place in the journalism and public relations field. Methodology. The research was carried out using the analysis of scientific sources, an analytical method, a systematic approach when considering the dynamics and relationship at different levels between journalism and public relations, a comparative method for identifying their common and distinctive features, monitoring the media space, which allows to find out the impact of certain PR strategies and tools for journalistic practices, method of theoretical generalization. The results. The main principles of media relations are indicated: the principle of trust, the reliability of information, bilateral observance of interests, consideration of development trends, communication style and ethical standards. The main convergent processes of journalism and public relations include: the use of similar tools and methods to achieve goals, the joint content creation that satisfies the needs of both parties, the joint management of information flows, the combination of journalistic approaches to the materials creation with PR strategies for attracting attention, the formation of the general professional responsibility sphere, conducting joint information campaigns and other events, creating a new media text format that combines the journalistic and PR text features, using the Internet as a channel, means and medium of communication. Conclusions. The novelty of the research consists in obtaining a clearer idea of the various mass communication types of hybridization in the digitalization of society conditions. As a result of convergent processes, journalism and public relations are becoming increasingly interdependent, which opens new opportunities for creating and disseminating information. This interaction leads to the transformation of both spheres, promotes their development, and increases the effectiveness of influencing the audience.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to theorize and discuss potential factors for convergence between libraries, archives and museums (LAMs). Design/methodology/approach This is a conceptual paper that criticizes existing research on the convergence between the LAMs for a lack of theoretical reflection and a sacralization of technology. Therefore, concepts such as convergent evolution, isomorphism, social fields and autonomy are used to analyze other potential factors for convergence. Findings The paper demonstrates that digitalization is not the only potential driver of convergence between the LAMs. Indeed, other changes in institutions’ environments, such as societal changes, shifts in cultural policy and increasingly common practices among cultural institutions can represent important drivers. Research limitations/implications Given that this paper is primarily based on theoretical reflections, future research should empirically investigate the non-digital factors suggested for convergence. Originality/value The paper represents an attempt to detect a “blind spot” in existing research on convergences between the LAM institutions and to identify some potential paths for future research to follow.

Abstract:
The use of computational methods to develop innovative forms of storytelling and poetry has gained traction since the late 1980s. At the same time, legacy publishing has largely migrated to using digital workflows. Despite this possible convergence, the electronic literature community has generally defined their practice in opposition to print and traditional publishing practices more generally. Not only does this ignore a range of hybrid forms, but it also limits non-digital literature to print, rather than considering a range of physical literatures. In this article, I argue that it is more productive to consider physical and digital literature as convergent forms as both a historicizing process, and a way of identifying innovations. Case studies of William Gibson et al.’s Agrippa ( A Book of the Dead) and Christian Bök’s The Xenotext Project’s playful use of innovations in genetics demonstrate the productive tensions in the convergence between digital and physical literature.

Abstract:
This convergent mixed-method study identified and ranked the practices and challenges of teachers in the implementation of Special Education (SpEd) Program. This study was conducted at the five private SpEd schools in Iloilo City during the SY 2023-2024. The participants for the quantitative research were the twenty five (25) teachers in all schools. The five teachers were selected as interviewees to gather the qualitative data. The duly validated instrument was used to determine the rank of the practices and challenges. The quantitative analysis that utilized ranking revealed the identified top five practices: individualized instruction, differentiated instruction, collaborative teaching, multisensory instruction, and behavior management technique. These findings were justified through the interview results.  The challenges identified among the practices were the lack of specialized training for teachers, limited resources, and diversity of needs. These challenges were both found in the quantitative and qualitative results and were addressed through collaboration, resourcefulness, and attendance in trainings on their own. Thus, the project Teacher Excellence Advancement Project (TEAP) was proposed to enhance the practices and to address the challenges.

Abstract:
Using formative assessment (FA) practices in teaching and learning is essential to understanding students’ learning and making informed decisions about students’ academic performance. This study examined secondary school biology teachers’ knowledge and practices of FA in Tanzania. Using a mixed-methods research approach and convergent mixed-methods research design, the study employed simple random and purposive sampling techniques to select the study area and teachers, respectively. A questionnaire and observation checklist used to collect data from 55 teachers in secondary schools. The Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26.0 was used to compute descriptive statistics. Findings revealed that though teachers had theoretical knowledge of FA practices, they failed to implement them, particularly Socratic questioning, portfolios, and constructive feedback. This study concludes that teachers did not implement FA practices in the surveyed schools. Thus, there is a need of regular in-service training to develop teachers’ practical competences in FA practices to enhance classroom teaching and students’ learning in biology.

Abstract:
The article discusses the specifics of current convergent development of information (IT) and social technologies (ST) and their socialization as well as defines the characteristic features of ST implemented on a digital platform. The authors analyze the reasons for the increasing demand for ST and explicate their role in post-industrial society. The authors believe that the boom of ST over the recent decades is associated with the need to transform “vertical” management practices toward distributed and maximally individualized usage. The network communication format in modern society, established due to IT development, is correlated with “soft” social design technologies, which provide not just subordination and discipline, but highly motivated work, initiative, emotional involvement, and creativity. At the same time, personal boundaries, which have become the most important component of psychological well-being for a modern person, are quite permeable to the combined impact of ST and IT. The “capitalization of human capital” in the information age has obtained quite a literal meaning because individual knowledge, skills, and initiative become the main resource and competitive base in digital economy. Using the example of Agile, one of the leading practices in modern IT industry, the authors analyzed the specifics of work organization of compact creative groups. The article reveals the ethical aspects of using convergent information and social technologies. The authors conclude that the task of countering destructive influences from ST on the information platform is relevant and even urgent. However, the society has yet to formulate humanistic guidelines for constructive socio-technological design practices.

Abstract:
Transitional societies are emerging amid continuous cultural transformations. To search for sustainableparadigms, it is essential to clarify the various interfaces of the conservation and development dimensions, particularly as the outcome of thinking approaches -- convergent and divergent conceptions. Convergenceinduces traditional practices, while divergence leads to non-conventional outputs. In this exploratory research, two paradigms of interrelationships regarding sustainable conservation and development are investigated:1) in conflict; 2) in balanced integration and transformation. In order to demonstrate the conservation anddevelopment experiences, a quadrangular conceptual framework is set along a bipolar continuum with conservationand development dichotomy in coordination with convergence and divergence. Two specific topics, each withexamples of East / West phenomena and related perspectives, are demonstrated: 1) contemporary architecturewith uniqueness; 2) treatment approaches of cultural heritage. This study reveals certain distinctive patterns ofinterrelationship between conservation and development in accordance with the considerations of convergentand divergent conceptions. The research output, based on balanced integration between conservation anddevelopment as sustainable paradigm, would be the basis for setting up national policy and related legislativeamendments regarding sustainable cultural conservation and development.

Abstract:
The article portrays the mixed sacred practices of the Christians and the Muslims in the Devoll region in southeastern Albania: in the Satrivaç Orthodox sanctuary in the village Hoçisht (Satrivaç or Shatrivaç) and the Bektashi sanctuary in the village Kuç (Inonisht). Based on the materials of the field work in Devoll in July 2019 and July 2021, the authors consider how sacred practices in the space of sanctuaries are distinguished by representatives of different (ethno)confessional groups of pilgrims (Orthodox and Muslim, Albanian, Macedonian, and Roma), as well as how practices of different genesis (Orthodox, Islamic, vernacular) are associated with the idea of a common sacred place (vakëf) regardless of its nominal confessional affiliation on the level of language and rituals. Considering the same audience of visitors and pilgrims in Satrivaç and Inonisht, the authors focus on the parallelism of sacred practices, elements of the infrastructure of the sanctuaries, and related terminology. Nevertheless, against the background of convergent vernacular practices and tolerant acceptance of religious differences, collective identities based on religious affi liation remain relevant boundaries in the communication of various Balkan communities.

Abstract:
World achievements in the field of neuroscience have provided previously inaccessible opportunities for creating fundamentally new control systems based on neurointerfaces (brain — computer — brain). Hybridization of environments — gradual blurring of the boundaries between physical, cognitive and digital realities — is taking place. Descriptions of social and cognitive practices of real people are transformed into forming an artificial electronic subject, which becomes more real, replacing a biological object in society (a person is how he is represented in the electronic information environment). At the same time, development of the neurointerface perspectively leads to conversion of nervous tissue and changes biological substrate of the human brain and body in the vector of convergent collaboration of living and artificial nervous systems. Our American competing partners (the US Department of Defence represented by DARPA) carry out multidisciplinary comprehensive research in this area, leading in real results, the US leadership is increasing government funding. A qualitative change in technologies for managing people, society and the state is taking place. Russia’s objective in these conditions is to form its own segment of Neuronet, relying on domestic neurotechnologies, by analogy with the policy of import substitution in Russian nuclear energy.

Abstract:
In this study the Vignettes Parenting Interactions in the Neighbourhood (V-PIN) was validated. These vignettes can be used to gain insight into and reflect on interactions in the neighbourhood between parents and nonparental adults. A correlational design (N = 134) was used to assess the reliability (i.e. internal consistency, test-retest), convergent and discriminant validity and relations with background variables of the V-PIN. Reliability (both internal consistency and test-retest) proved good. Positive, significant correlations provided evidence for convergent validity. The measure did not correlate with non-related constructs or background characteristics, which was an indication for discriminant validity. The newly developed measure seems useful to explore the perspectives of nonparental adults in parent-child interactions in neighbourhoods with a wide group of stakeholders with diverse cultural backgrounds and can (complemented with visualisations), be used to stimulate supportive interactions and inclusion in social work practices and the community.

Abstract:
IntroductionThe transition from child to adult health services is a challenging and complex process for young people with cerebral palsy (CP). Poorly managed transition is associated with deterioration in health, increased hospitalisations and reduced quality of life. While international research identifies key practices that can improve the experience and outcomes of transition, there is a paucity of data in the Irish context. This research study aims to gain an insight into the experience of transition for young people with CP in Ireland. Methods and analysisA convergent parallel mixed-methods design will be used to collect, analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data. Participants will be young people aged 16–22 years with CP, their parent(s)/carer(s) and service providers. Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected through questionnaires and interviews, respectively. Quantitative data will be reported using descriptive statistics. Where sufficient data are collected, we will examine associations between the experience of transition practices and sociodemographic and CP-related factors, respectively, using appropriate regression models. Associations between service provider characteristics and provision of key transition practices may also be explored using appropriate regression models. Qualitative data will be analysed using the Framework Method. A coding matrix based on key transitional practices identified from the literature will be used to identify convergence and divergence across study components at the integration stage.Ethics and disseminationThe study has been approved by the RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee (REC201911010). Results will be presented to non-academic stakeholders through a variety of knowledge translation activities. Results will be published in open access, peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international scientific conferences.

Abstract:
Community-supported agriculture (CSA) represents a collaborative model where local farms and community members form partnerships to facilitate the direct delivery of fresh produce from farms to consumers. This study primarily investigates the experiences of current CSA members, focusing on the key factors influencing their retention intentions. Employing a convergent parallel mixed methods approach, this study gathers and analyzes both quantitative data (such as factors affecting members’ retention intentions) and qualitative data (derived from interviews reflecting members’ perceptions of their CSA experiences). The integration of these datasets provides a comprehensive understanding of the factors that shape CSA membership dynamics. The research findings underscore that Convenience, Product Quality, and Positive Interactions are pivotal factors that contribute to members’ Intentions to continue their CSA memberships. These insights are crucial for enhancing the services provided to CSA members and hold significant implications for the broader scope of CSA membership research. This study not only fills a critical gap in understanding the Chinese CSA context but also contributes to the global discourse on sustainable agriculture practices and community engagement.

Abstract:
The Model of Demands and Resources at Work assesses the psychosocial factors at work and the interaction of demands and resources that may be associated with physical and mental exhaustion. The objective of this study was to analyze the demands and resources of Primary Health Care professionals, from the perspective of the Work Demands and Resources Model, in the metropolitan region of Salvador. This is a qualitative study, of the Convergent Care Research type. Semi-structured interviews and convergent groups were used, in virtual format. As a result, the main demands identified were conflicts between care models, low autonomy in the work process, failures in planning, lack of materials and human resources. In the resources, group activities, use of integrative and complementary practices in health, teamwork were identified. It is concluded that the quantity and magnitude of the demands are greater than the resources, with a tendency towards mental illness among health professionals.
