Full textIn 2002, it became clear that the 1978 Spanish constitutional agreement was obsolete. Statutory reform represented the only path to greater Catalan self-government. Hence, the process to reform the Catalan Statute of Autonomy (EAC: Estatut d’autonomia de Catalunya) began; the EAC came into force on August 9, 2006. This thesis presents a quantitative and qualitative study (using Lexico3, Coocs and R) of the EAC drafting and approval process based on the texts produced by parliamentary groups and consensus texts agreed upon in parliament. The first part of the analysis offers a lexicometric characterization of the entire corpus. The second part includes a qualitative study of the most significant forms. Four major types of changes were observed. Amendments aimed to rewrite the 2006 EAC based on: • the linguistic and stylistic criteria of the Catalan Parliament’s language services unit; • the technical criteria of the Catalan Parliament’s legal services units; • political negotiation; and, • the linguistic, stylistic and legal criteria of the Spanish Parliament.

This study aims to explore the rationale of design and the process of developing Taipei CooC- Cloud E-books, the evaluation and the result of designing Taipei CooCCloud E-books, and the learning process and viewpoint of undergraduates' developing Taipei CooC- Cloud E-books. This is a qualitative study and the targets were the undergraduates and the teacher. In the process of conducting the research participation in observing, discussion, and data collection, comprehensive collection and organization, analysis, and induction of the data, the result were showed as followed: 1. During the class, the teacher, as facilitators, applied ADDIE model, used various resources and took student-centered approaches to teach. 2.The evaluation and the result of designing Taipei CooC-Cloud E-books contain two parts:The formative assessments were based on the feedbacks of sixth-graders who used the system and the experts' advices. The summative assessment was through collecting questionnaires about undergraduates' satisfaction of using the system. 3. In the process of designing Taipei CooC-Cloud E-books, the undergraduates could express their opinions, and communicate with the teachers and the experts in interpersonal interaction. After the undergraduates have done with the Taipei CooCCloud E-books, they gained confidence and a sense of accomplishment because of the positive feedback from the primary school students, the appreciation from the teachers in the seminar, and publishing their Taipei CooC-Cloud E-books as popular E-books. Finally, according to the concrete suggestions from the research can serve as references used in the future implement of designing Taipei CooC-Cloud E-books for Taipei CooC-Cloud, students and futuristic researchers.

This research aims to investigate the effects of adopting CooC-Cloud’s videos in teaching vocational high school mathematics on students’ motivation and mathematics learning achievement. This quasi-experimental research involved a total of 68 eleventh grade students studying home economics in one of the vocational high schools in Taipei city. The experimental group, 34 students, received CooC-Cloud’s video instruction in mathematics class, while the controlled group, another 34 students, received traditional math instruction. The research was conducted three times a week, and a total of six weeks. After the experiment of eighteen classes, the two groups of students took a mathematic achievement test and were asked to fill out a learning motivation scale. The results were as follows: 1. There was no significant difference in learning motivation between students who received CooC-Cloud instruction and those who received traditional instruction in mathematics class. The experimental group students’ learning motivation was not higher than those in the controlled group. The result indicated that the implementation of CooC-Cloud’s video instruction had not improve students’ learning motivation on mathematics. 2. The experiemental students’ learning achievement improved significantly after the CooC-Cloud’s video instruction, and so did those in the controlled group who received traditional instruction; however, there were no significant between group difference.

In recent years, there have been growing interests in the issues about cognition for English as second language teachers making online materials. In order to gain thorough understanding, this present study adopts Borg’s framework (2006) on teacher cognition to explore the relationship between high school English teachers cognition and practice regarding Open Educational Resources (OER). This framework can be used to explain the intricate relationship of teacher cognition between schooling, professional coursework and contextual factors. Case study methodology is used to capture the materials design of two English high school teachers participating in Taipei CooC Cloud and how their cognitions interplay. Data collection includes interviews, modules developed for the CooC Cloud, and research logs to better probe into possible factors influencing the practice on OER in English teaching. The findings revealed that both teachers’ cognitions were influenced by their experiences of schooling, professional coursework and the contextual factors in the CooC Cloud, with some minor differences shown in learning and teaching experiences. In addition, the contextual factors including potential students’ characteristics, school’s context, institutional factors, and availability of resources were also determinant factors in the teacher’s practices, causing the inconsistency between the teacher’s cognitions and their practices in the CooC Cloud. The result also found out that both teachers praised the value of the CooC Cloud. However, the struggles they had dealt with during the process affected the two teachers’ perceptions of their overall experiences. Two pedagogical implications derived from the study were provided. First, teaching training courses related to the development or the teaching of OER’s could be provided to help English teachers have better understandings. Second, it is advised that program developers provide some technical or teaching support or resources for teachers to relieve their anxiety.

Mathematics is the most difficult subject for the 6th graders. As for the teachers in teaching mathematics, they face many dilemmas including individual difference with different cognitive abilities, backgrounds and learning styles. How can the teachers achieve the teaching goals while facing different individuals? Within limited time for each class, it’s fairly challenging for the teachers to take care of the students with different learning abilities. Flipped classroom model, adopting different teaching methods as well as implementing differentiated instruction and remedial teaching, has great potential for reducing aforementioned dilemmas in elementary math class. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to integrate flipped classroom model into math class and to investigate its effect. Before the class, the students are asked to attend the Taipei CooC Cloud learning School to read mathematics courses outline and learning steps. Afterwards, the students are asked to set their learning goals of the unit, and to watch the online video-based materials for self-discipline learning and completing online test. In class, the cooperation learning strategy is employed through class discussion, inquiries, and group cooperation learning. Then, according to the individual test results and the analysis of the error types, remedial teaching is offered through Taipei CooC Cloud learning system to promote the students’ mathematical learning effectiveness. This study adopts the quasi experimental design for conducting a learning experiment. The subjects are the 46 sixth graders from two classes in Taipei City, divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group accepts the flipped classroom model, while the control group accepts traditional teaching model with digital devices and resources. Three math units are adopted in this research, including "fractional division", "decimal division", and "ratio and specific value". The learning experiment lasts for six weeks. The research developed many tools for investigating the effect of flipped classroom model, including "math learning achievements test", "math learning attitude inventory", "math learning self-efficacy inventory ", "students’ perception toward flipped classroom model questionnaire", " questionnaire of students’ flow in CooC learning " and "parents’ perception toward flipped classroom model questionnaire". The collected data is analyzed through SPSS 20 statistics software by adopting descriptive statistics, paired samples t test, independent sample t test, and one-way ANCOVA method. The results reveal as follows: (1) The flipped classroom model can enhance math learning achievements significantly. (2) The flipped classroom model can enhance part of math learning attitude significantly. (3) The flipped classroom model can promote the learners’ self-efficacy in learning mathematics significantly. (4) The students and their parents show positive perception and appraisal toward CooC learning.
